After yesterday’s discussion on values, what we’re all about and where we’re going, today’s announcement by the Foundation that they will have a badge day at the Dundee United game on 11 May is something that requires us to step forward and do something about.
“Volunteers will be in place at all turnstile areas and supporters will be asked to make a donation of minimum £1 in return for a badge, which illustrates the new Celtic FC Foundation crest. All monies raised on the day will support our work challenging homelessness in the Glasgow area.”
I’m going to volunteer. You should too. It will mean getting to the game a wee bit earlier but it will also mean you can look those values we all preach in the eye. Words are easy but on this occasion, so are actions. Let’s do it.
I’ll find out how you volunteer and report back soon.

You may think so,personally IMO if your decision in the referendum is based upon someones religion you are no better than the bigots you claim are oppressing you.
I do not need to know someone’s religion to vote for them,I’ll measure them by their politics and actions.

That awkward moment when only Hugh Keevans sticks up for you.
Yea, can ye imagine the look on the face of Greame Wallace as he was just about to tuck into that fish supper that was just delivered to his front when he suddenly realizes that he didn’t order a takeaway?

Before you go and in reply to your earlier post on Celtic players playing for Scotland. It does not disgust me. If the players want to play for Scotland then fair enough. I am very sympathetic with what you say about the SFA and totally agree that they have done nothing for us and we owe them nothing. I would prefer it if Celtic players did not play for Scotland. I have highlighted my grievances re the SFA’s anti- Celtic actions down through the years. I won’t bother to repeat them.

A Scotsman a Hungarian and a Pole were in Cairo travelling back from the office to the hotel. They shared the journey most days for the past 2 weeks and joke telling had become the norm to while away the time spent in traffic.
Today the Scotsman told an Irish joke. It was a hoot. The Hungarian told an Italian joke. Loadsa laughs. The Pole told a Chinese joke. Went down a treat. Yesterday Russian jokes were the order of the day.
Luckily there was no recording and no one mentioned Rudi Skacel.
Otherwise the SFA may have looked to see if their jurisdiction extended as far as the Nile.

Quite a few people will be scratching their heads at that one.
Paddy Irish man, Paddy English man & Paddy Scotchman were………”Who said that?”
That will be 300 hours community service & a restraining order that bars you from going within 2000 yards of a Paddy.

Oh, I feel well chastised but not particularly reassured.
John o’neill has been making flippant remarks about scaremongering by posters who have indicated concerns about religious and cultural discrimination. However,he has not answered my question asking him to inform us why he feels so confident that our concerns are unfounded.

Whilst I’m on it would seem some of the more sane posters are actually engaging Kojo in discussion on Scottish independence,do you have nothing better to do? The very fact that people like him are scaremongering should give you all the answers you need, steer well clear would be my advice. You’d be as well debating it with Makis Voridis,he probably cares more about it.
I would suggest that any Celtic supporter living in Scotland should take one look at those who are most vehemently anti independence and if after that you still vote no then fair enough.Just be aware that the very issues you seem to be most concerned about are the very same issues that a lot of the no campaign are, however they are approaching it from a very different perspective.
How about a nice UK government in 2015,with Boris Johnson as PM and Nigel Farage as deputy I’m sure their number one policy commitment will be to deal with anti catholic bigotry in Scotland.

Three – tumbleweed hour?
An tearmann, so let me get this right you believe part of the reason we should vote for independence is because we have been subject to sectarianism for all these years under uk rule. A and you believe that under scottish rule it will get better. Ok so despite all the evidence to the contrary why do you believe that?
From the BBC Gossip page yesterday…….
Celtic launch an investigation into Leigh Griffiths’ behaviour before last weekend’s Edinburgh derby as police begin enquiries into allegations of “racist chanting” by the player
Does anyone know if the police are enquiring into the others who were singing or was it just LG that was singing………??

Oh in that case, i’m probably 70 % sure I’ll vote No. You see I have concerns that are being lightly dismissed by Yes campaigners with no attempt to assuage my fears.

I think Celtic need to see the charge, and test the evidence.
In the case of the original ‘Hearts go Bust’ he was probably just asked
if he acted as allegedly, as per the video, and stated ‘yes’.
MSM driving the agenda, won’t get a result any time soon.

That is interesting but it sounds like Fluminense are not sending you anyone but players they are not interested in if they are only good enough for your reserves.
When you see the quality of the Brazilian 2nd and third string squads who turn out for the friendly matches, there are a lot of talented players with smaller clubs who are already better than their European equivalents. Roger Guerrero did quite well for you but there are even better players than him available if there are few restrictions. Roger became a naturalised Pole and was capped, I believe, but he is now back playing 2nd tier football in Brazil so there must be a lot of better players playing first tier football.

I see Tom Rogic has a groin problem and will be out for months, probably spoiling his World Cup prospects.
I wonder if Jackson Irvine has a chance to benefit from this. He has been a bit hit and miss for Killie but he is doing better than most of our loanees.
Dylan McGeoch has been listed as sub most often at Coventry.
Bahrudin Atajic has also been a late used sub mostly.
Paul George’s injury problems still dog him.
Young Lindsay has been shipping goals in a poor Morton outfit.
Joe Chalmers has been playing Centre Half for Falkirk, I believe, rather than left back as we hoped.
Tony Watt is in the doldrums at Lierse, though still a potent scorer.
And Calum McGregor has been dropped to the bench after a very good start at Notts County, not sure why.
I had hoped that 2 or 3 of these would have made more of an impact by now.
I still have hopes that Watt, Irvine and Rogic might be saved and that McGregor and McGeoch might recover early promise and that Paul George will get fit and free from injury.

Ernie actuall asked John o’neill why there had never been a Catholic cabinet minister in the SNP government. No one is looking for a breakdown on each and everyone’s religion. However, there have been issues in the past with an SNP leader and antipathy towards the Catholic faith. I don’t think it is unreasonable to seek reassurance on matters that are of concern.

The performance of Scottish referees went down lower than their previous baseline in last weekend’s matches.
I saw boyhood St. Mirren fan, Ian Brines, award St. Mirren a phantom penalty for hand ball late in the game when the ball had clearly hit Stephen McManus in the face. And how the ICT left back, Tre Marco, stayed on a pitch, far less avoided a sine die verdict, is beyond me. Totally brutal tackle. Hope he is not in their team at CP at the end of the month.
