TOM ROGIC helped banish the Champions League heartache with his first goal at Celtic Park in the 3-1 win over St Johnstone.
The Aussie midfielder, whose first two years at the Hoops have been jinxed by injury, netted the crucial second to give Ronny Deila’s men a half-time lead.
He said: “It was special to score in front of my home fans and I’m sure I won’t forget it.
“So, on a personal note, it was pleasing to get the goal and I’m happy.93r1s_IqlrhE4XbOJ_KNlFbuEJj_uQXiYSnCMMdKI4A
“But it was important to put the Malmo result behind us and come out here at home and get a win and a good performance.
“We have to move on and just learn from it and get better.
“I feel comfortable playing anywhere in the middle of the park, but I’m just happy to be playing and being in the team and helping them win.”
Rogic is now switching his focus to the Europa League after Celtic were paired with Ajax, Fenerbahce and Molde.
He added: “It’s a tough draw with some good teams, but we’re working to improve each day and make sure we are ready for these challenges.
“I guess time will tell how well we will do, but our job is just to make sure we are prepared and ready for it.”
Rogic scored his first goal for the SPFL champions earlier this month in the 2-0 win over Partick Thistle at Firhill.
