Focus shifts to Pittodrie

Tonight Aberdeen play the second of a run of three consecutive away games. After overcoming St Johnstone 3-4 in Perth a week ago they are on the road to face Inverness. The Highlanders have not lost in a month, and haven’t lost at home since the visit of Celtic in November, so John Hughes men will provide a stern test for Aberdeen.

Aberdeen are back on the road to Firhill on Friday night. Their season has been free of fixture congestion. This is a rare week with two games, and an even rarer one with two away games. It could be a pivotal period in the campaign.

Celtic won comfortably in the end against Ross County but confidence seemed at a low ebb until Leigh Griffiths opened the scoring. Sentiment may have swung in our favour before we take to the field at home to Inverness on Saturday.

  6. Development Team? The lads out tonight would give our first eleven a good run for it. T’will be interesting to see how well they do.

If Ajer comes I welcome it, our only chance of getting top class talent is to take a chance like that or bring through our own like Tierney. Initially Tierney was lucky with injuries giving him a chance to stake his place but in fairness he grabbed it with both hands.

I’d love to see the likes of Christie, Allan or Roberts get a similar chance but with the League so tight, Ronny will not chance it. Best we will see will be last 20 minutes if a game is sown up.These cameos are near useless as rest of the team are usually in second gear when the subs come on and the game simply peters out.

Morning bhoys from central California on this bright and cheery presidents day.

P8ddy well said and I for one agree. I’m curious as to how someone can get bullied on a blog,,state your opinion and then answer your critics. If the majority disagree then they disagree,,simple.

How is someone being critiqued bullying. You have a forum to argue you’re case. Posts are broken down here daily with different or alternative viewpoints. If someone keeps getting their posts critiqued thats far from bullying.

Anyway it is funny how we all see the beautiful game in different ways. Yesterday a few posters thought arsenal were good for the win,,I certainly didn’t see it that way. Leicester should have had a second penalty when mahrez was downed in the box to put them two ahead. Then the defender probably wouldn’t have had a rush of blood to the head and got sent off. Then coquelin who was already booked runs over the width of the field to shove mahrez when he’s being subbed,,should have been booked and off.

Next after arsenals late goal 5 or more players go well into the crowd to celebrate. All should have been booked and there were a few on yellows which should have resulted in a couple red cards thus depriving the gunners of key personnel for you the run in. Just how I seen it myself.

Delighted with ajer and look forward to seeing him in action.

Take care bhoys and Hail Hail

    Sorry ,mate.

Doesn`t work when you have to explain. :-(

    Sarcasm .

It was directed to a poster who made a jocular reference to septa geraniums.

  15. LOL! Just done a Google search for Septa Geranuims & the top result is CELTICQUICKNEWS. I sh*t you not.

    Try it yourself. Funny!

  16. My approach to Peter Lawwel’s salary is pretty simple. I think of it in terms of Season Tickets.

Adult Season Tickets were priced from £416 this Season.

If he hits his KPI’s and makes £1m for example.

    Peter costs 2403.8

    Adult Season Books per year.

I know there are different prices, Concessions and the like but just using simple (very) factors.

Yes there are other income streams etc but I keep it to Season Book sales.

Anyway off to Gaelic training. I should have an e mail out to those coming over at Easter tomorrow (that’s me committed now.)

Thanks An Tearmann for the above.
