sorry what are you referring to

The demise of the Irish Labour Party ??

Godiva a comment about that….. I wonder whit the huns are daein?

  3. Leaving aside tonight’s result.

We are in a mess .

Celtic should be able to mount a serious attempt at getting into the CL.

I have been staying for a number of years that I am mystified by our scouting.

    Who looks at Ryan Christie,GMS,Armstrong,Allen,Cifti,Kazim Richards,Cole,Boyata,etc .

And then comes back and says .

These players are Champions league players.

    Our recruitment is utterly disgraceful.

    Something needs to change.

We are signing far too many players ,who are poorer than the players they are supposed to replace.

Holding up Keiran Tierney as a shining light might be an indicator of how far we’ve fallen.

Kieran is every inch an average home grown basic left back, with decent attitude. Infinitely better than the mercenary compatriot senior right back.

Did I mention how far we’ve fallen?

  5. WITS 11.54pm

A play on your own words, apologies if offended

Never in a million years was it typed like that

  6. Everything is all over the place. The Elitest, Money Monsters are wanting to break away to Close the shop.

The new haters will, likely be in the SPFL next Season, Celtic is a Drug, of that there is no doubt. I know Celtic is much more than that howevaah.

See that monopolies commission, I wouldn’t trust them as far as I could throw them.

I can see, and I know nothing, Roy and Martin @ Celtic next season.

I reckon Roy would be sensational with the Young ones and Martin, well he is the Mind Man.

So basically, I think Ronny has given up Tonight and Peter Lawwell is going as well.

    My point exactly.

I have always been a happy shafter but when bhoys like you and TT see the light I can’t see where P67 can give us a good story

Of course we will be bombarded by uber Celtic fans who tell us all is great and we are wrong but maybe they worked in the BBC

  10. Wits

I expected we (Labour) would fair badly but I don’t agree it is fair, more like inevitable.

Riddle me this; we were a clear success in terms of seats in 2011 which had no obvious correlation with previous support.

Looked like an obvious reaction to FF but left us in a position where we could smuggle sit in opposition and retard the process of govt but keep support or go into govt as the public wished and keep a leash on FG.

We did the latter , took no credit for the leash and all the blame for not being the majority partner.

We knew this would happen but should we have abandoned the people and sat in the Dail Yama-booing every austerity plan?

I don’t know the answer and I did want to stay in opposition for my party but we surely are not the bad guys.

    Thoughts?

Trump Accuses IRS of Auditing Him Over His Religion & Politics

    “I’m a strong Christian….there is a bias”

    By Paul Joseph Watson

    February 26, 2016

During a post-debate interview with CNN last night, Donald Trump accused the IRS of targeting him over the fact that he’s a “strong Christian” and is taking on the establishment in the presidential race.

CNN’s Chris Cuomo asked Trump about Mitt Romney demanding the billionaire release his tax returns.

“The one problem I have is I am always audited by the IRS, which I think is very unfair,” said Trump. “I don’t know — maybe because of religion, maybe because of something else, maybe because I am doing this [running for office], though this is just recently.”

Cuomo asked Trump to clarify what he meant, to which Trump responded, “Well, maybe because of the fact I am a strong Christian and I feel strongly about it, and maybe there is a bias.”

When Cuomo questioned the legitimacy of Trump’s claim, the Republican frontrunner pointed to the long running scandal involving the IRS targeting conservative groups for extra scrutiny based on their names or political themes.

Meanwhile, during the debate itself, Ben Carson also revealed how he had been politically targeted by the IRS after he publicly criticized Barack Obama.

“I never had an audit until I spoke at the National Prayer Breakfast. And then all of the sudden they came in and said, “We just want to look at your real estate dealings.”

And then they didn’t find anything. And then they took a look at the whole year. And they didn’t find anything. And then they looked at the next year and they didn’t find anything. And they won’t find anything… The fact is the IRS is not honest and we have to get rid of them,” said Carson.

  12. Wits The Exit Poll had Sinn Fein at 14.9% but of course that was rounded down to 14% in the headline figures. Anyhow be it 14 or 15, it’s almost a 50% increase on last General Election. I originally predicted 20 seats, I’m still hopeful that might be achieved.

  13. Tonight the manager Peter was unlucky if griff scores pen game over. Sorry who was it Hamilton referee robs us 3 shots on target 2 off them pens. had enough press destroying us no fightback huns still cheating money laundering still no accounts fit and proper directors you could not make this up. Lawell desmo done great job downsizing us to help huns the football at celltic is nothing short of dire Ronnie is a fitness coach but hes ok got peter how much lower do we go .Please don’t hit me with who do we get advertise believe it or not still draw for managers

Christopher is a year older than KT. He told me tonight that he wants to be as good a left back for Ross County, as his hero Izzy has been for his team Celtic. Get a fiver on Christopher McLaughlin first scorer. James McIntyre his gaffer, told Boomer yesterday that he has the sweetest and hardest left foot shot in Scottish fitba. He starts at left back tomorrow. Straight into the first team cause of his recent form for 20s.

He has scored two free kicks his last two games.

    ……………………………………………………………………………………….

Ta for the heads up. Need to wait until the teams are announced. Tyre didnae have too bad a left peg either. ;))

If ye ever speak to him, ask him if he tried to do inswingers from the left sided corners, I do them all the Time on Fifa, a lot more success. HH m8ty.

  15. Pleased to have managed an away game tonight. It is always a pleasure to get a chance to watch Celtic even when, as tonight, the football was poor. I was expecting the usual poor game on Hamilton’s astroturf and it lived up to every one of my expectations.

Watching live, without benefit of TV replays, it looked like Boyata was reckless and had not touched the ball so I can hardly blame the ref for giving it as a foul. The red card, though, did surprise given the Hamilton player was looking to move the ball wide of the goal and there were many Celtic defenders in the vicinity. I don’t care what Ronny said about it after the game and I cannot really comprehend why anyone would get worked up about it. It was a probable foul and a possible booking but an unlikely, no more, red card. If that was denying a goal scoring opportunity, it was an opportunity that Van Basten would have been proud to convert.

But the ref did not make us drop points- the players achieved that. On top of the red card we got two pen awards. The first was bizarre but justified, the second was a little soft and looked like an attempt to make amends for the red card. We missed the pen, we missed two one on ones by GMS and Griff, in addition to this pen. We made the better chances with 10 but did not convert. Ronny did little wrong in a 10 vs 11 game. The first half, Celtic controlled the wings against a narrow Hamilton set up. In the second half, Ronny sacrificed the wings and made us narrow and compact, and it was working. Messy equaliser apart, we created the better 2nd half chances and GMS and Leigh should have converted.

Our tactics worked for us but we did not get the win we just about deserved.

Ronny must go or Ronny must stay is almost an irrelevance just now. We have a league to win and we are still likely to win it even if Aberdeen close the gap to 4 tomorrow. There will be plenty of time to reflect and decide come May but there is little reason, other than panic and towel throwing, to make the change now when we did not do so in January. We have decided to stick so let’s stick to the summer and see then where we are.

Tonight’s result changes little. Most fans remain unconvinced and a win in midweek changes nothing just as today changes nothing. Just readjust your Tena pads, strap in for the ride, and celebrate the title when it comes. Then, feel free to take your sides in the Ronny must stay or must go debate because, unlikely defeat by Morton withstanding, there is unlikely to be any change before then.

I am looking forward to the Dundee game already. It will be played on grass, we might win or we might drop points but we will still be going for the title. Where else would you rather be?

P.S. I like Shiavtchenko- a good replacement for Jason Denayer

Are you seriously trying to defend the Labour Party

They went into government with the most right wing party in the country

why ? because they wanted power, they wanted to be a pig at the trough

Keep a leash on Fine Gael, bull sheet.

They presided over the most heartless cruel cuts, special needs assistants, carers allowance, etc etc, social housing, traveller education programmes etc etc all slashed

Why make the poorest most vulnerable members of society pay for the mistakes of the wealthy.

Makes no sense for the Labour Party to do this

There were other options, but they were cowards and greedy opportunists. To hell with them

Silent Annie Lyrics For The Lonesome Boatman

I saw which nearly broke my heart

    A tramp lay dying

    In the park

I knelt beside him to hear him speak

    And the words that

    He spoke were very

    Weak

    2

He told me a story of

    Long since past

Of a gallant ship with it’s long grey mast

    Of his captain’s cap

    With it’s shining braid

And the wonderfull voyages that he made

    3

Oh silent annie was that great ships name

    Like a token of love

    He spoke her name

    She sailed round the horn

    Ay’e more than once

    She could cut through

    The waves

    Like a sharpen’d lance

    4

    Oh believe me he said

As his eyes filled with tears

Like a drunk on the corner

    Remembering his years

    He reached out his hand

And he took it in mine

    I believe you i said

And he gave a sad smile

    5

Then came the day when they towed her away

    Her sid’es they were sore

    From the sea’s angered spray

    He said she’s unfit to

    Sail out once more

    They tugged her more windward

    All around sandyshore

    6

    As they broke silent annie

    I watched with a sigh

    I remembered her beauty

    When i was a boy

She was my one love my

    Lifes only dream

    When we sailed out together

    As captain and queen

    7

    It started to rain i

    Felt my hand tight

    He squeezed even harder

    As he ended the fight

    The people they gathered

    And watched with dismay

The ambulance men came and took him away

    8

I got to my feet and i

    Walked through the park

The sun it had gone but

    It was not yet dark

    My body was wet my

    Clothes were not many

    My thoughts were around

    By the ship silent annie

  19. Corkcelt

With the terrible perf by Enda and my guys taking the blame for everything from water charges to plastic pitches (:-)), Sinn Fein could have actually been the biggest party without Adams.

Having someone from The Pale ,who chose SF as a political option when she had a choice, as leader would have worked. She chose her words very carefully in the last few weeks. Very carefully. I like her and wish she was Labour. Still might be ;-)

  20. Proudbhoy

As far as I could see- The away support was as good as it always was. Reservations were expressed before the game and even more so, afterwards, but, during the game, Craig Thompson was the target of ire not Ronny.

This is in stark contrast to the CP crowd which contains a significant element that revel in destructive comment during the game.

  21. SFTB. Excellent post, we need to stay calm and support the team over the next couple of months. There will be time enough for counting when the dealing’s done.

  22. PROUDBHOY on 27TH FEBRUARY 2016 12:14 AM

Anyone who was at the game on ?

What was the general feeling amongst the support ?

    =================================================

Annoyance that we dropped 2 points but frustration we were put in the situation by a poor Refereeing decision by a guy who has plenty of previous, so benefit of the doubt not being given to him.

  23. SFTB

The change should have happened after Europa lge losing the league is a distinct possibility imo. Every chance Morton could put us out of cup as well. No leadership anywhere from this club. Mind you they will want to communicate shortly when renewals come out .

  24. Petec

I have a centre stand comp for tomorrow in Dingwall. My nephew was freed by Jackie MacNamara last season. James McIntyre drove to my sister’s house in Clydebank to sign Christopher for RC. Southpaws, Thick as Thieves. :-)

    welcome to the real world.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I ain’t giving up on Ronny D. You might think I am but I ain’t. Who knows perhaps Ronny is telling Peter to GTF in meddling, or telling Chris to Stfu.

No m8ty, I’m on the Ronny D bus until it reaches its final destination.

Maybe Dermot is getting hands on a bit more, not before Time, as I say that Breakaway thing has certainly put accelerant on to Everything.

  26. Wits

So you would have stayed in opp like I wanted but how would Ireland have dealt with the IMF et al with a weak govt who could promise and deliver nothing?

The minority socialist parties never have a say in Ireland as the majority are not socialist. Being right but having no power is what we are. Labour committed suicide going in with FG and I didn’t want it politically or socially .

What I am asking is what would have happened if we didn’t? I am not trying to annoy you , I promise, just looking for a valued opinion.
