Aberdeen look to cap top team in 25 years

1164

Really looking forward to tomorrow.  Aberdeen are no flash-in-the-pan, they are as strong a non-Glasgow team as there has been in 25 years, having built on foundations laid last season.  They arrive at Celtic Park having won there last season, and after two narrow defeats to Celtic this season, which has cost them a place at the top of the league.

Ronny Deila will have an enormous job to pick his players up after the disappointment of Thursday night, but that’s what champions do.

I know we’ve got a few foodies here, so check out The Foodies Guide to Glasgow and the West, by Fraser Wilson.  Proceeds from the book go to Mary’s Meals, which goes a long way towards alleviating poverty.

If you are from or near Dundee…….

There’s a charity dinner to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Brother Walfrid, in the East Chamber, Dundee, on Friday 17 April.   Proceeds from the night will go towards helping three-year-old Oliver Bosch, who was born without auditory nerves.

The evening will have an Irish theme, with an Irish menu, music and song and the Lochee School of Irish Dancing will give a display of traditional Irish dancing.  For tickets contact joe.carroll1948@yahoo.co.uk

If you don’t mind me asking, Calderbank or Chapelhall or that vicinity, I kicked a ball at u-21 level with a couple of Bhoys fae Cakderbank and kicked the odd ball or two with Bankhall Villa only a friendly with that Bankhall mob

  3. This is shaping up to be our hardest game of the season and if the weather tonight is anything to by the conditions won’t help. From a supporting perspective I just hope it isn’t as cold and dreich as it was last sunday.

It’s not the worst place in the world, just gets bad publicity sometimes.

I’m the type of eejit who does the lottery, and half my heart doesn’t want to win the thing, because it would mean that I would have to leave the place.

Sad as it may seem to be.

I agree totally about Frampton the person but their is an element who are trying to latch on to his success. My wee girl has witnessed first hand their “song book” after one of his earlier fights. Not his fault of course

    Just saying achara

That could be any council estate in any country, like you I play the working tax lottery but also like you we would give most of it away, I love my upbringing and struggle to pay the bills, more so for my parents who didn’t have two pennies to rub together (whatever that means) what we don’t have we will never miss

    Hail Hail

  9. 16 Roads. You have a great home town amigo. One of the most friendly and hospitable places I have visited. HH

MCB – 100% correct, some bigots latch on to the said fighter, however their poisonous agenda is far less welcome now than it would have been a few years ago.

Jamesgang – that’s probably the best plan that I have ever heard in my life lol

    Excellent. :)

Victoria Park u-21s, did they not used to play at Calderbank ? Obviously might be different time frame but I played for Monkland Juveniles out of the Wayside and our home games were at Holehills & Rawyards sports centre, our changing room was the Masonic hall just up fae the sports centre, I didn’t know that’s what it was back then
