  1. PETETHEBEAT @ 9:00 AM,

Seen your post, you obviously were thinking we wouldn’t turn up again.

But we did and you came on to acknowledge that, which let’s face it most of the doom & gloom merchants (which of course I don’t see you as) either disappeared or were in denial.

You know I just like watching a good game of Football with some pals, that’s exactly what I did last night, the Fenebache result, along with ours blows the group wide open.

That’s what Football’s all about, this is a great Europa group.

    Hail Hail

Celtic should have won last night….I don’t think anybody is moaning, more disappointed.

We played well last night, didn’t get the reward we deserved.

I’m only asking that people stop treating a draw as though its a victory.

    We can do better.

I wasn’t referring to your post, my point was a general one…..Lets not get carried away with a draw.

It is not being negative to say….we were the better team, and imo, would have won if izzy would have used his head….but he didn’t.

So…to end up with a draw….was for me slightly disappointing.

A bit like what RD thought.

Molde beat Fenerbache 3-1 away……Id say that’s the result of the night.

    And one we should note.

No offence intended mate – just trying to in ject some humour.

I’d be lying if I said that, when we were so close to a victory, there wasn’t some sense of disappointment when the 2nd Ajax goal came. But I’d have taken a draw before kick-off. It’s important to recogise that a draw in Amsterdam is not the worst (nor best) result we could have had.

    KTF.

  4. lennon's passion on

Football is all about ifs and buts. Our last 2 away games we have been poor. Last night I was looking for a reaction are that team playing for RD. The bhoys put a shift in that’s all that matters to me. Played some nice football at times. 3points against Dundee is our next target.

Big Bittons goal was a peach. Woooooooooofffff

We put on a good performance last night…I was satisfied with the result, but really, we should have won.

If we could just cut out a bit of the rashness, we would do better.

    Two things spring to mind.

First obviously was Izzy’s diving in….there was no need, the ref had warned him.

Second was how not one of our defence, keeper included, managed to get in the way of tat free kick, sure the boy hit it well…but I just feel Craig Gordon was all over the place….looked like a star jump he was performing.

I venture to suggest, that RD and JC will be saying the same sort of thing to the players today.

  6. Let’s not get carried away with a draw.

That means it was nearly a defeat, and not a win, ffs that’s about as negative as you can get, but no surprise there then eh, .

See there I go again giving them oxygen, I’ll never learn.

  7. Tony @0948

When ye have spent all day saying we will lose and all week telling us we are pash it’s necessary to point out all the negatives.

  8. Tet,

    Ditto.

One of the commentators mentioned the celtic support last night and how they were down on numbers.

The treatment of the away fans is number one reason.

  10. Basically…every time I’m on this site now…giving my opinion like everybody else.

I’m getting the same bs from the same people.

I said earlier….This isn’t North Korea yet, and I will give my opinion….like everybody else.

So…its “they”….and “them” now is it.

    You really are a trumpet.

A loud mouth halfwit….and that’s me being nice.

You really want to demonize me….go ahead

Yep – 2 key moments and I have no doubt the management team will be talking to the players to find out what went wrong and how to correct it. Let’s hope they can sort this quuickly.

On a separate note, I got the impression there were a lot of people just waiting for Celtic to fail last night (look at all the negatove press over the past couple of weeks). So I am delighted they were left disappointed.

  13. Thunder road…

Mind get the most important slab from asda for when your works done. HH

    Tallybhoy…

Are you in Italy or here?

The huns were getting a wee bit cocky there, it’s good to see their humps rise again. HH

  14. Was really enjoying the game, up until the refs decision to send off izzy for a lunge which never contacted the Ajax player.

Izzy should have been smart but Deila should have been smarter.

We should have won last night.

Thank you Efe – I hope there was a few team mates watching your commitment last night.

Shhhhhhhhhh don’t flatter yourself, your just a side order today, I’m ripping into the Huns on social media, and like you, they are not happy, oh! I’m not making accusations, just saying like.

  16. So, on AJAXQN, is it likely that there will be an inquest into the shocking defending for the first Celtic goal, and also for a free header from a set piece corner for the second Celtic goal? Naw, dinnae think so. Perspective needed here, a good result away from home, which could have been even better. No cries of triumphalism from Dutch guys in pub where I was watching, I feel sure that they thought we more than held our own. Onwards and upwards.

  18. LOL at the disgruntled, disappointed Huns this morning with ‘Operation Mitigate’ in full flow; feeeel the angst in every post.

SMSM nearly printed all the sports pages in black. Warburton’s deluded jizz-monkey’s the lot of them.
