DANIEL ARAZANI made an eventful first team debut for Celtic in the 5-0 hammering of Dundee at Dens Park last night.
The young Aussie World Cup winger came on in the 57th minute as a substitute for his fellow-countryman Tom Rogic with the champions already coasting to three points.
However, Arzani, after showing some excellent footwork in setting up a fabulous opportunity which was scorned by Kieran Tierney five minutes later, didn’t quite cap his Hoops baptism in the anticipated fashion.
The 19-year-old international, who agreed a two-season loan deal from Manchester City in August, was carried off on a stretcher in the 79th minute after appraently twisting a knee in a swift turn.
Boss Brendan Rodgers said: “We’ll have to assess the injury.
“He’s a great boy and it’s unfortunate he picked up the injury with a run-out in the game.
“I think his knee just sort of gave way and he felt a bit unstable.
“He was taking the applause as he was stretchered off, so I’m not too sure how sore it was – I don’t think it was killing him.”
CQN‘s ace lensman Geo captured Arzani’s unforgettable evening on Tayside from start to finish.
