Bernabei window. Good luck to old foes in CL

411

It is perhaps just as well Greg Taylor has had such an impressive start to the season.   The alleged offence Alexandro Bernabei was arrested for yesterday will not enhance his chances of integrating into Scotland or the Celtic defence.

He is 21 years old, a long way from home and has a lot more money in his bank than ever before.  It is a heady cocktail.  Ange Postecoglou is experienced enough to know how to best deal with the player, how the season progresses is very much up to Alexandro.

After Hearts on Sunday, Celtic are away to Dundee United and Ross County, the latter in the League Cup.  Alexandro should be hoping to make his competitive debut during those two away games.  If he misses this window, he’s unlikely to make an appearance until after games against Newco and our first Champions League tie of the season.

Best of luck to old foes Bodo/Glimt and Copenhagen in Champions League qualifiers tonight.  Good to see honest teams that live within their means prosper.

  1. PSV are a limited team, OK they are maybes playing it differently cos they are away from home, but it really shows how bad the huns really are, their defence is brutal, I’m sure Ange will be taking notes.

  2. If PSV player was smarter there he really should have engineered the contact and got a nailed on pen.

  3. Oh naw Huns will be apoplectic about the Dutch giving psv an advantage by postponing their game at weekend 😁😁

  4. I would’ve taken a draw tonight before a ball was kicked. We all know how the huns rely on their home form in these ties.

I was not particularly impressed tonight by the huns. Bar their first goal they created almost nothing.

  5. I knew the huns were very average but I was hoping from more from PSV. Hopefully they can up the ante a bit at home.

We’ll, all square at half time.

The Dutch should have an advantage in the second half.

Here’s hoping they take advantage of it.

  7. Big Jan from castlemik did the parkhead tour and brought back a pair of barkas gloves for his keeper

  8. Great referee.

You will see a different PSV next Wednesday.

Very happy tonight. We will put much more pressure on that mob all over the park.

What’s in the Starz, yes Richard Gordon and Shortie say “down the divisions”.

It’s a MSM metaphor for liquidation.

  10. CorkCelt: no idea why RTÉ were showing the Huns match. However, I reckon it’s part of the assimilation programme to help loyalists feel comfortable with the inevitable United Ireland😜

Re Brian Kerr. He’s local to the school I teach in. He “officially” opened the community fund raising event in support of Trócaire that I organised so not all bad. His connection to the Huns is via his Belfast family. I got the impression that he doesn’t like his hun affiliation being discussed.

Tommy Martin, the TV3 pundit, is indeed the son of our own CQN poster ThomtheTim as WITS has already said.

I met TTT in May and he’s in fine form. We usually text each other around the time of Celtic matches.

  11. If Sevco are as bad as so many on here claim, how come they can manage a draw against a top Dutch side?

Of course they were lucky with the `keeper`s mistake but, from what I could see from extended highlights, a draw was a fair result. A team a poor as some say Sevco are would have lost by four or five against PSV.

Even in their first ever Euro run Sevco didn’t generally win away. Imagine a tidy Dutch side will turn them over in Eindhoven having been able to score twice in Govan, neutral ref always very refreshing in these games and a spot more Eredivsie arrogance will see the Poople out.

  13. I have just realised that Hearts are Away in Europe on Thursday then play us on Sunday. That kind of favourable situation always seemed to happen for the Huns but not us. This Pre-Qualification malarkey is a fine thing :-))

    `night all.

Good to see them losing goals from corners”

Good to see them losing goals from anywhere !!

  14. Thought PSV had the better chances. Hun first goal was good the 2nd was the luck of the Devil.

It’s not a done deal but PSV must be strong favourites now.

SEVCO are RANGERS coz Dimdom hizny goat it!

    🪦…here lies Timdom.

Where RANGERS would be if Timdom hadn’t become Dimdom.

I blame KEVJUNGLE for never raising PLC deceit issue, and continuing to finance the OLDFIRM ghost.

  16. 53k dim Tims live rent free in your heid…no wonder some personalities leak through ;-))

  18. glendalystonsils on

PSV should and would have won that game bar the kind of goalkeeper howler you seldom see at this level Their CF also missed a couple of decent chances in the second half which he will be keen to put right next week . PSV 3 , Sevco 1 agg 5-3 .

You heard it here first .

Paul67, Needs to run `his` blog the way I want it.

    …said a guy fae Unfairhill ;)

  20. I don’t think a draw was a fair result – PSV clearly created the better chances and bar a mistake which you’ll struggle to see repeated at this level, they win the game. The huns done well for their first goal but that’s the sum total of their creativity for that match. Their XG tonight was 0.6 !

I’d be very annoyed if we played as badly as they did tonight against a decent but not spectacular PSV side.

    Its so simple….

Back the PLC = back Old Firm stitch up.

Sack the PLC = Old Firm lie kicked oot the park.

    SFA, SPFL, SMSM, etc, collapse.

New exposures of cover ups by Krankie Kult govt.

KKG having to resign as implicated in OLDFIRM cover up swindle.

New uppity Tims ass kicking board goes to town on the swamp.

    etc, etc.

All it takes is Dims to become Tims. 🙏🏻🍀🕯️
