Celtic probably anticipated the three match suspension Uefa imposed on Scott Brown following his red card for an off the ball incident against Barcelona, if they didn’t, they should have. That’s not to say the decision is not “harsh”, as the club described it, as far as off the ball incidents go, this was a lesser offence, but it was a red card awarded for an off the ball incident nonetheless.
Are there lessons to be learned? You can bet your novelty Celtic duck on it.
No more on this, or injuries, until late next week. Absolute focus is required on the task ahead. Ajax will arrive in town on Monday low on confidence, let’s take them.
A CQN’er has kindly donated two tickets for Tuesday’s game at Celtic Park against Ajax for the 1254125 appeal. You can bid for them by silent auction by emailing your bid to ajax@celticquicknews.co.uk.
Please include telephone contact details. Auction will close at 19:00 on Sunday. The winning bidder will be notified on Sunday evening, tickets need to be paid for directly to the 1254125 MyDonate campaign before 12:00 on Monday or the tickets will be offered to an alternative bidder.
Many thanks for participating.

Anyway
Off oot
Hail hail
valentinesday,
As regards Gerry McNee’s later musings, utter tosh. He, like Walker and so many others, decided here was no future in giving Celtic a fair crack of the whip. He thought he could rise above it by supposedly following Man U and writing a book about a film.
I really wish that guy Laurie, would stop thinking he is a spokesman for the entire Celtic support. I also wish he would “support” another team. The guy makes my blood boil. Balloon of a man.
CultsBhoy loves being 1st forever & ever @ 19:25
A calm, well researched, analytical and coherent performance.
Excellent stuff.
Mangled English indicates it is time to bid you all a good night.
googybhoy
Thats exactly why Hodgie shouldnt be referring to his black winger as a monkey.
We imagine a nice friendly guy like Hodgson couldnt be a racist….maybe he just made a mistake.
John O’Neill
I have read your previous comments on other issues. You have referenced a preference for right over left on many occasions. I don’t agree with you on that choice but I do not begrudge you the right to proclaim it if it is yours.

The effective sentence, as confirmed in the agreement, is a fine of R3 280 000.00 or 984 months (82 years) imprisonment.
With that on his C.V then he should get a second interview.
By my fag packet maths he could be out in time to takeover Inter280 in the Central Eurasia League6

if before they left Trudy and Gordon taught the unemployed, underemployed and unemployable of these islands the joys of tantric sex that would easily use up the 35 hours a week they’ve to spend on the Parish
===========================================================
I saw Sting on a talkshow once, going on about Tantric Sex, said he could go for on for hours without satisfying himself.
I knew how he felt, my wife is no oil painting either
Is that the same Gerry McNee who christened the Celtic View as Pravda?
For a man who worked for Murdoch, Maxwell and the Express empire,he had a wonderful sense of irony.
Look the pyro at Roma Napoli .Better send focus over there.

That kit is awesome !!!!
I am about to sign off for tonight Ghuys, I will leave you with this:
Tomorrow will mark 32 years since Johnny Doyle left this green place. The first team we played after this was Easter Road, we were beaten 1-0, I trust it will not be the same tomorrow. I remember vividly walking away from the ground singing…Johnny, Johnny Doyle on the wing, Johnny, oh Johnny Doyle…
When you remember him tomorrow, remember our own St. John Doyle.
Keep the Faith!
Hail Hail!

Have Sevco managed to loose any more directors today?
Is the big hoose still open?
I would defo play Darnell Fisher tomorrow, the few times I’ve seen him he looks a brilliant prospect.

Lennybhoy,
God Bless Johnny Doyle. He was just before my Time, but I knew he was one of Celtic’s finest, he gave his all, all the Time.
Rest in Peace George.
Hun skelper @ 19:11.
Sevco have just unveiled their latest foolproof money making scheme. Although I have no idea what a “replica wall brick” is.
Can they not afford real bricks?

from a loved one……..I have great respect for you
on here, you enrich this blog more than I can or ever
will, and you could debate my under the table….but I
stand by my opinion.
Can anyone tell me if SB is the first ever player to get sent off, ever?
3 sending off in his career and I remember him getting ragdolled by opposition lurch type character and sent off for it, can’t remember the team. What was the other red for?
Should be a great game tomorrow – we obviously will have one eye on Ajax, and in addition we are weakened through injuries and one thing and another.
But the Battle o’ the Greens has always been one of my favorite fixtures.
We are no way guaranteed the points – looking forward to the show tomorrow !
