It’s been a long time since we’ve had a home game; 4th August, against Aberdeen. Since then we’ve played five games on the road, three of which involved international travel, with two games in the Highlands.
Statistical analysis shows that form suffers when teams are forced to pile-up away fixtures. Training schedules are interrupted as travel eats into time which would otherwise be spent fine-tuning fitness or working on defensive/forward strategy. Instead Celtic have improved enormously from their Flag Day at the beginning of the month, despite, or perhaps, because, Neil Lennon has indulged in extensive use of a squad rotation policy.
No one at Celtic will be complacent ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League play-off, the ghost of Ross County in 2010 and Inverness in 2011 will see to that. One ‘Big Dan Moment’ is all it takes to turn a comfortable lead into a tight tie with a player deficit, but I suspect Neil Lennon will be more concerned with putting the brakes on his players, rather than motivating them. A calm and organised performance is required.

Dead abd Loving it
It was posted on here yesterday that there were 9,000 tickets left.
Must be less than that now as aposter bought 4 this morning!
Looks like a near full house.
First post from me, as I’ve just received my login details. I’m almost as excited about this as much as tomorrow’s game.
Assault and pepper: Celt fans are sprayed after pub brawl
Panic … cops fire spray inside the pub

COPS are caught on camera as they blast PEPPER SPRAY into Celtic fans’ faces during a pub brawl.
Shocking mobile phone footage shows transport officers storming into the railway station boozer before firing the liquid at supporters.
Drinkers can be seen rubbing their eyes and running for cover as the spray takes effect during the rammy at the Mallard pub in Dingwall, Easter Ross.
Scene of the brawl … the pub in Dingwall
Four pub staff were among dozens who suffered ill effects in this month’s incident after a fight broke out between two Hoops fans as they watched their side’s 1-1 draw with Ross County.
As pubgoers try to separate the pair, cops are seen running in — canisters in hand — and spraying in the direction of the fracas.
One worker said: “The reaction seemed excessive.
Police sting … cop takes aim at a fan
“Two of our bar staff, a manager and a bouncer, suffered eye irritation and breathing problems.”
One fan said: “Innocent bystanders were affected. To be standing in a pub and be sprayed is totally unacceptable.”
British Transport Police last night said: “Any complaint will be investigated.”

Someone appears to have asked for my password to be reset and it wasn’t me.
>>>>>>
Me too. Paranoia qoutient in the red zone!
: > )
Am I on the right blog?
ENGLAND legend Paul Gascoigne gave Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo the fright of his life — when he put a SNAKE in the Italian’s pocket.
The ex-midfielder said when he was playing for Italian team Lazio with Di Matteo in the mid-90s he found a small endangered species of snake, “I whacked it until it went comatose” and then put it in his teammate’s coat.
Gazza said he then asked Di Matteo if he could borrow some cash — and the ace put his hand in his pocket.
He said: “You’ve never seen someone jump out of their skin so quick!”
I had 4, repeat 4 emails asking about my password reset. Something funny here :<(
Johnny Russell.
Yay or Nay?
I refuse to panic. I will, however, Freak Out!…..if required.

I have received an email saying a request has been made to change my password. I did request a change several weeks ago and this has been actioned. This latest was not from me.

Not my first choice but I would take him. I believe that Bolton,Derby and Huddersfield are all reported as showing an interest. That could put him out of our bracket.
HH
Yay yay & thrice yay

Are you Johnny Russell?
:0)
I would sign Johnny Russell, at 2m I think he would be a star for us
he also ticks the Peter Lawell boxes, young and sell on value, but Everton are lurking
The Comfortable Collective… Xabi Alonso.
Welcome back the Old CQN Bhoys
The Rangers had a homecoming
In Harlem late last night
And the Magic Rat drove his sleek machine
Over the Jersey state line
Barefoot girl sitting on the hood of a Dodge
Drinking warm beer in the soft summer rain
The Rat pulls into town rolls up his pants
Together they take a stab at romance
And disappear down Flamingo Lane
Well the Maximum Lawmen run down Flamingo
Chasing the Rat and the barefoot girl
And the kids round here look just like shadows
Always quiet, holding hands
From the churches to the jails
Tonight all is silence in the world
As we take our stand
Down in Jungleland
The midnight gang’s assembled
And picked a rendezvous for the night
They’ll meet ‘neath that giant Exxon sign
That brings this fair city light
Man there’s an opera out on the Turnpike
There’s a ballet being fought out in the alley
Until the local cops
Cherry Tops
Rips this holy night
The street’s alive
As secret debts are paid
Contacts made, they vanish unseen
Kids flash guitars just like switch-blades
Hustling for the record machine
The hungry and the hunted
Explode into rock’n’roll bands
That face off against each other out in the street
Down in Jungleland
In the parking lot the visionaries
Dress in the latest rage
Inside the backstreet girls are dancing
To the records that the DJ plays
Lonely-hearted lovers
Struggle in dark corners
Desperate as the night moves on
Just one look
And a whisper, and they’re gone
Beneath the city two hearts beat
Soul engines running through a night so tender
In a bedroom locked
In whispers of soft refusal
And then surrender
In the tunnels uptown
The Rat’s own dream guns him down
As shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light
Outside the street’s on fire
In a real death waltz
Between what’s flesh and what’s fantasy
And the poets down here
Don’t write nothing at all
They just stand back and let it all be
And in the quick of the night
They reach for their moment
And try to make an honest stand
But they wind up wounded
Not even dead
Tonight in Jungleland
If YAY – Where do you fit him in and who is left out to accommodate? Would he be a first team regular or squad player? Personally I don’t think it would send out the right message to Tony Watt and other current U20’s. To me TW looks to be as good a striking prospect as I’ve seen at CP for some time.
Welcome to all the new ghuys
A hearty welcome to all new posters on here!
Internet Explorer good.
Google Chrome, better.
That’s from my own personal experience.
Have your tin hats standing by!
HH!!

Dont think Everton will be in for Russell They have jellybelly a greek guy they signed for 8m last week wee nosmith and victor anchibe as well as another greek with lts of letters in his name They also signing charlie boy from liverpool for 5/6 million
According to Paul on twitter, a number of password requests were found today and actioned but anyone currently on and received emails about passwords can ignore them.
No doubt he will explain more in his 12.00 blog.
Fingers at the ready for new podium chasers.
Mort

Are we to assume therefore that all these new guys who have suddenly appeared are genuine Celtic supporters?
I demand to know their names and addresses!
Who are all these new and old posters?
I demand to know.
The Scottish public demands to know.
