CELTIC’S Scottish Cup fifth round clash with St Johnstone at Parkhead next month has been switched to accommodate live television.

The tie was due for Saturday, February 9, but has now been moved to the Sunday with a 1.30pm kick-off. The game will be shown on satellite channel Premier Sports.

The Hoops’ previous game in the competition – the 3-0 win over League One part-timers Airdrie – was also put back to 5.15pm on Saturday to be beamed live by the same channel.

Celtic are going for a historic hat-trick in the Scottish Cup in this campaign. Remarkably, they have never won the trophy on three successive occasions.

They beat Aberdeen 2-1 with a stoppage-time goal from Tom Rogic in Brendan Rodgers’ first season and last time out they overcame Motherwell 2-0 with efforts from Callum McGregor and Olivier Ntcham.
