Is that the time?  Many thanks to everyone who submitted questions for the Club to answer at the Forum this evening.  CQN submitted six pages of questions along with many other groups, from which an agenda has been prepared (below):

Stadium Atmosphere and Matchday Policy:

What is the current position in respect of the Green Brigade?

Do the Club believe their response to Motherwell was justified and proportionate?

Stewarding at home matches is heavy handed in certain sections of the Stadium e.g. Block 122 and Blocks 110, 111 & 112, is there a reason for this?

The presence of FoCUS at home matches is intimidating and antagonises supporters, is it necessary to have them and if so can they be located in an area which is less intrusive?

Can the Club introduce a code of conduct which all Stewards need to sign up to?

Attending matches is expensive, what are the Club’s plans on ticket pricing?

Safe Standing has been regularly discussed, what is the current position?

The Coach Park has been relocated to an area which is unsuitable for the majority of fans who use it, what is the longer term plan?

The Kerrydale Bar has been a welcome addition to matchday are there plans for another?

What are the Club’s thoughts on the current location of the Family Section?

Stadium Catering has long since been considered over-priced and sub-standard, what is the current position in terms of offering an improved service?

Many fans feel their support is taken for granted, would the Club consider adding value by recognising long-term support for 5, 10, 15 years’ Season Ticket purchase by offering upgrades to Premium or Corporate for a day?

With so many empty seats on match day at present can the Club not allocate these to good causes, school and youth groups and community projects?

PR & Communication:

There is a perception that the Club are quick to criticise our fans but slow to praise them, what’s the Club’s view?

Why is the Club not more vocal when our Manager, Players and Fans are attacked in the media?

The Club is seen to be slow to react to key issues through the media, why is this?

The Club has stated its opposition to the OBTC Act but there is a sense that it has to do more in support of the fans who are affected by this, will the Club take a more vocal position?

Is this meeting a recognition from the Club that a gap exists between the Club and the fans?

The Club are often considered to be on the back foot in terms of PR, is there recognition of this from within and is there a plan to drive the PR strategy by producing more positive stories?

Would the Club consider the introduction of a weekly phone-in show to combat existing shows which often provide misinformation or unrealistic comparisons from unqualified sources?

Supporter Specific Issues:

Given the level of demand which exists, would the Club consider adding to to the excellent new disabled supporters’ facility or creating something similar in another part of the stadium?

Fixture re-scheduling at short notice is costing supporters money and ultimately driving fans away, can the Club seek an agreement with all other Clubs that a minimum notice period is put in place?

Would the Club consider a floating credits scheme for fans outside Scotland to mitigate losses when matches are rescheduled?

Murrayfield – what is the plan relative to transportation and kick-off times, also Edinburgh cannot be accessed in a 24-hr trip by Irish supporters, can this be reflected in their Season Ticket offering?

At present away, neutral and European match ticket allocations are based on attendance of matches at each of the defined categories.  Would the Club consider a scheme where all matches are taken into account including attendance at home matches as this would encourage more fans to attend home games?

For European match ticket allocation there is no stated policy at present, this leads to confusion as fans don’t always know when they will receive an offer or if it’s first come first served, this needs to be made clear by way of a stated policy which allows for clarity and gives supporters a defined process.

:-)) absolutely no offence intended. I’ll bet you don’t start fires by rubbing sticks together!

  2. I watched that choir very carefully and I don’t think their lips moved. Could there have been a bunch of ventriloquists behind the scenes?

No idea or last time it made a difference to an election result but the number of Scottish Labour seats lost from Scotland will exceed the number of Tory seats.

Perhaps not as much as in the days when Labour here lost ground to the SNP but the Scottish contribution to UK government is beyond our size and will be a loss to English based socialists.

  4. If Barca want to replace Valdes, who will leave at the end of the season, I reckon they could do worse than big Fraser, I think they are interested.

Carles will also finish up at the end of the season, they could do worse than Virgil.

I don’t want either to leave, but they will be gone, tis the way of things, the books will need to be well in the black for their return, sadly.

Strangely enough I was thinking the same thing myself earlier today. Someone once said apparently that Britain is essentially a Tory country which occasionally votes Labour. I can’t recall who the author of the statement was. It has also been pointed out that for Britain to have a Labour government it relies heavily on Scotland and that without Scotland’s Labour MPs it would be very unlikely that there would be a Labour Government at Westminster. There have only been a couple of occasions when Labour have won a General Election by a landslide.mon most occasions the margin of victory has been much narrower and impossible without the Scottish MPs.

I too would be loathe to condemn socialist in England and Wales to a lifetime of Tory government.

I’m going out on a limb here but I am almost certain that never has the number of Scottish Labour MP’s ever affected the outcome of a general election and brought about a labour majority.

I remember researching this a few years ago, what I will concede though is that at the last General election the tories would have had an overall majority if the Scottish Labour MP’s weren’t included

  10. Would it be fair to say that the only way the berz can actually improve things is to stop giving the spivs their money and re direct all the funds (40,000 times say ten pounds would be almost half a million every two weeks. That’s enough to buy say 20 Scottish prospects (young prospects). So the formation of a new club is possible. It could be called Real Rangers (you know like Real Madrid) The Real Rangers. (however, – new history – new adventure)

“General Assembly voting nearly unanimous on 188 for 2 against(US and Israel)”

“Half a century that has resulted in a $1Trillion loss of trade to Cuba, has been in existance for the life time of 76%of Cuba`s Population.”

  13. A wee joke afore I retire

In a Chicago hospital, a gentleman had made several attempts to get into the men’s restroom, but it had always been occupied.

A nurse had noticed his predicament.

Sir, she said ‘You may use the ladies room if you promise not to touch any of the buttons on the wall.’

He did what he needed to, and as he sat there he noticed the buttons he had promised not to touch.

Each button was identified by letters: WW, WA, PP, and a red one labeled ATR..

Who would know if he touched them?

He couldn’t resist.. He pushed WW. Warm water was sprayed gently upon his bottom

What a nice feeling, he thought. Men’s restrooms don’t have nice things like this.

Anticipating greater pleasure, he pushed the WA button. Warm air replaced the warm water, gently drying his underside.

When this stopped, he pushed the PP button. A large powder puff caressed his bottom adding a fragile scent of spring flower to this unbelievable pleasure..

The ladies restroom was more than a restroom, it is tender loving pleasure.

When the powder puff completed its pleasure, he couldn’t wait to push the ATR button which he knew would be supreme ecstasy.

Next thing he knew he opened his eyes, he was in a hospital bed, and a nurse was staring down at him.

‘What happened?’ he exclaimed. The last thing I remember was pushing the ATR button.

‘The button ATR is an Automatic Tampon Remover. Your penis is under your pillow.’

So you don’t think they would ever go for a fresh start in a new (asbestos free) stadium ?

After their recent times and their bleak future prospects. Maybe they’ll smarten up and surprise us and take the new “fresh start” (the new hygienic and clean fresh start)

  16. Big cup winner

I had typed my response and my phone conked out so I here I go again and hopefully you will read it in the morning.

I just cannot get perturbed about The Act, sorry but that’s my feelings, and most of my pals are the same. I think one Bhoy has been lifted, but not certain, and he would have probably have been lifted regardless.

I get really slagged on this site and I

don’t actually think I have said anything really bad, on the contrary as I mentioned earlier.

What really gets me is all these so called republicans, will not regardless of how often they are asked or by whom, give an answer why they detest the thought of Scotland being independent. They give stupid excuses such as we are the pursuers. If they feel so strongly why is no case put forward,

Without trying to be too emotional my pals do not believe me when I tell them about a Tic site that is overwhelmingly against independence.

The main reason I ask for them to

put their arguments is that nearly every debate to date has resulted in

    the pro vote winning.

I watched again the debate today between Lord George Robertson and Stewart Hosiery, SNP MP. It’s on u tube. Before the debate started the students were by a large majority in favour against the proposition: for independence. Upon completion of completion of the debate the large majority had turned and the vote in favour won.

That is an example if why we cannot give up.

You obviously disagree with me but please don’t doubt my caring for your children and mine.

I would ask that you have a look at the debate mentioned earlier. And I hope I have convinced you I don’t always run away , it’s just that I’m usually in Kip early

Actually, I posted some words to you at the end of Tuesday’s blog, which disappeared in relevance by Paul67 giving us this one to argue around.

Anyway, my position is that any new baby born today in Cuba, throughout the Greater and Lesser Antilles, has been born lucky.

    Macjay,

These absolutes from yourself an John are a bit tiresome

I fail to see how any rational person would think that the Cuban revolution did anything other than benefit the majority of the Cuban people. Compare before and after.

The fact that, as fundamental necessities are provided and become the norm, people then look to the American dream, does not negate the results of that revolution.

The point that the American dream is an illusion, a play for suckers, is lost on us as we try to clamber up the pyramid to get to the one percent.

Funny how the only people who say “you make you’re own luck”, are the lucky ones

  20. I have friends and ex colleagues in the exiled Cuban community here.

All of them to a man and woman have no regrets about pursuing the “American Dream.”

Many send dollars back home, but none would return.

And in case anyone doubts that Cubans wish to risk the perils of the Florida Straits I can send them a picture of a makeshift raft which came ashore in the Keys last July.

Also search for the articles on the number of Cubans who enter the USA via Mexico.

“These absolutes from yourself an John are a bit tiresome”

    Lads.

First of all.I did not raise the subject of Cuba.

I have responded to what I consider to be praise for a regime which I consider to be corrupt to the core.

Like all totalitarian regimes, you had better conform or you will suffer.

Tiresome,Jimmy?Tell you what ,pal.I will never tire of supporting the downtrodden.Whether they are in Cuba or South Africa or Coocaddens

Incidentally, you have not responded to any of the points I have raised in support of my attitudes to what I consider to be a despotic regime.

    Why is that?

I`ll tell you why. There is no defence you can provide to justify the flagrant breaches of human rights which Cubans have to tolerate day in and day out.

    I know.I speak to them.

Instead your best shot is to shoot the messenger.

    No problem.

Of course Castro improved the lot of Cubans in`59.

Gaddafi did the same for Libyans.

Hitler did the same for Germans.

    Mussolini for Italians.

And then what was the price they had to pay?

Castro caused the single most dangerous post war risk of nuclear conflagration between U.S.S,R and the U.S.

Castro will be remembered for one thing and one thing only.

He introduced nuclear weapons to Latin America.

  23. JimmyQuinnsBits on

    gg,

My point on Cuba pre and post revolution stands.

Shortages and restrictions – there’s an embargo on.

My point about the American dream isn’t only mine – michael moore has a few points on this, agree with him or not.

My main point, however, is that we shouldn’t consign complete events to a ‘like’ or ‘don’t like’ pile. Good and bad come out of most of them.

Why do revolutions happen? Do we think people want to get off there arse, risk hardship and death for the fun of it? The common enemy is poverty, and the gap between rich and poor. I honestly don’t give a crap which political system sorts it, but if you think this one is then I’d guess you’re one of the lucky ones

Whinger was very vocal on eduardos innocence saying that close examination of video showed a slight touch by artur. In fact he said he very strongly reputed any accusations of cheating from his player.

Another trophyless season lies ahead for his club

  25. JimmyQuinnsBits on

    Macjay,

I’m hardly shootin the messenger, calm down ffs, I thought we were havin a debate, on a blog.

I repeat, I don’t care what political system addresses it, but the enemy here is poverty, and the gap between rich and poor.

Can’t you see where people are coming from here? Untramelled free-market capitalism is not good for the human race. Neither is marxism. This whole debate is just cheein the fat on what was good and bad about previous systems.

Can’t be arsed, off to bed. Good night to all
