Celtic have an oddity to put right

780

It is early enough in the season that Celtic have ample scope to recover from the odd reversal but with October just around the corner Neil Lennon and his players will be wondering why they have not won two consecutive league games this season.  This particular oddity can be put right tomorrow if Celtic win and leapfrog Motherwell, who sit precariously at the top of the SPL, albeit having played a game more.

There is also probably some fine-tuning required on formation.  We kept a clean sheet in both Champions League qualifying away games but have not achieved one in three away SPL games against weaker opposition than Helsingborgs or HJK Helsinki.

Motherwell exited the League Cup on Wednesday but don’t expect this to sap momentum; Celtic on Saturday is their cup final.  We can expect a direct and physical challenge on what is likely to be a heavy pitch.

An early goal from the champions would settle the nerves.  If they get this, don’t be surprised if they go on to win comfortably.  Despite indifferent form this season the signs are there that Celtic are getting their game together.  Prediction: 0-4.

Nowhere will be showing Celtic tomorrow in Bratislava that I am aware of unless they have Celtic TV which they don’t so sorry man I don’t think you’ll see it.

  2. Be careful with Suhkumvit Road though I think its something like 300 miles long!! Go the wrong way and you may end up in Cambodia or Laos……..:-)

Tomorrows much will not be easy Motherwell at home will be up for the game the mullet will ensure that. I will happily take a narrow win for us with no injuries to me that would be a good result.H.H.

  4. Watch oot, lurker in aboot!

See the BBC giving it ‘Stuarty McMullet denies giving no effort against the O** F***’! ….. but everyone (including him) knows damn well his team give their all against Celtic and next to nothing against his pally Allys team!

He mentions 2 games against Celtic (both narrow wins) but yet the BBC still ink it down as Murderwell showing a lack of effort/will/pride (or whatever) against Hunco AND Celtic!?

Hope we destroy them tomorrow, and If we’re up for the scrap I’m sure we will!

    Keep it rollin’ bhoys.

  8. Who was it on CQN earlier in the week saying they had found a child’s season ticket after the Dundee game? Gregor Kyle retweeted a message from a bhoy in Belfast who was looking for his daughter’s card.

  11. My Dear K-O-J-O…..

Tomorrow sees the corresponding fixture from last season ….

When your Numero Uno ‘Fair-Heided’ Boy announced his prowess to the WORLD…..

Sending all your posturing tormentors scuttling off to the Bear Sanctuaries….

To Remedial Classes on Sharpening Pencils….

    To Wart-Removal Clinics…..

And for a Good Soak in a VAT of DDT….

    “Listen to Kojo”,they had chortled….

“He only wants to throw Oor Young Yins intae the First Team”….

    Well,Well,Well,Well,Well….Well….!

Anyway,I expect GigaWatt to lead the line tomorrow….

Especially because he’s already shown that he can look after himself….

And has a wee bit of a temper….

Miku / Lassad taking turns supporting him upfront….

Hooper should be on the Bench only for emergencies,to ensure his fitness for midweek….

Hopefully, the team can put the ‘frighteners’ on the Mothers in the tunnel.

    Then cruise to a comfortable 4-0 win….

However,if the Mothers want to get petulant….

The Celtic Midfielders should take it in turns to clobber the Miscreants….

There is no point putting in silly wee petty fouls that earn a booking, but do no lasting damage….

We can field a bigger and stronger team than they can….

    I’d actually relish a ‘Blood & Thunder’ Confronto….

    With plenty of controversy…..

And the Dugouts fighting each other in the Technical Areas….

    With the Police wading in….

And fusillades of mince pies blotting out the sun….

This current SPL season has been much too tame up till now….

Let’s see it catch afire like the Map of the Ponderosa…..

In the closing credits of ‘Bonanza’….

I expect the impostors from Fir Park will have a totally different approach to tomorrows game ,after their complete capitulation at Ibrokes the mullet will have them well and truly pumped up .

I seem to remember Tam Cowan giving the mullet stick the last time he faced his old friend from Govan (5-0) ,will be interesting listening to his take on that sham in midweek .

I think Bombed Brown is on Cowans show tomorrow also ,what ever happened to the title deeds Bomber
