CELTIC have been linked with a £5million swoop for Slovenian international striker Andraz Sporar.
Neil Lennon had spies report on the pacy frontman following his strike in Slovan Bratislava’s 4-2 home defeat against Sporting Braga in the Europa League on Thursday night.
Sporar is under contract until 2023, and the 25-year-old forward has claimed seven goals in 17 appearances this season.
He notched five goals in Europe where his team finished third behind Wolves and the Portuguese outfit.
Sporar is a former record signing for a Slovakian club and also scored for his nation as they ended Poland’s 100 per cent record with a 2-0 win in their Euro 2020 qualifier in September.
Neil Lennon has admitted he is keen to add a top-quality marksman as support to Odsonne Edouard in next month’s transfer window.
Leigh Griffiths made his first start since August in the Hoops’ 2-0 loss in the Europa League defeat to Cluj in Romania in next week when injury-hit Vakoun Issouf Bayo also made a cameo appearance.
