Celtic join Barcelona, Milan and Ajax in the Champions League’s only group of former champions.
We beat Barcelona and Milan the last time we played each of them, and eliminated Ajax from the same competition last time we met 12 years ago. This is an incredibly difficult group, but it is the job we wanted this time yesterday.
Now we must get ready for the task ahead. Prepare properly and fear no one.
There will be a ticket scramble, among those who didn’t renew their season tickets………..

Plenty of time to work something out. Might try to wrangle a wee trip to Santander (to see the manufacturers) a few days pre-Barca match.
Know there’s a direct flight from there to Barcelona – take a few days after game and come back on a cheaper flight.

Regarding discussion about Shakhter Karagandy fans.
I googled for reports from their trip to Glasgow and found two with videos and comments from their fans. You really will not find bad word there. You will not find sings of sympathy for Rangers and praise for them. Yes, Rangers were trying to show Karagandy fans that they are good guys. From the reports and videos I can see that Rangers fans were taking Shakhter supporters from the streets and other places to their pubs. Answer on that on the website” – All in Glasgow were very friendly !!! Hugs, kisses from Glasgow people!!!One of the videos shows Rangers fans pulling the guys from Kazakhstan to the fence where they had Rangers “memorabilia” including Union Jack.
I really guess that Shakhter Karagandy did not know that showing Union Jack at the game would be found hostile by Celtic fans.
P.S. When few posters were telling you that Peter Lawwell should go, you did not listen to them and called them Mineshafters.

ITV has refuted accusations by Celtic
manager Neil Lennon that it was
‘disrespectful’ towards the Glasgow club
during its coverage of their Champions
League qualifier with Shakhter Karagandy.
After seeing Celtic overturn the defecit
against the Kazakh side last night, Lennon
claimed ITV4’s commentary of the 2-0 first
leg defeat had been biased against his team.
“I listened to the commentary on ITV4 last
week and I was taken aback,” Lennon said
during his post-match press conference. “It
was so anti-us it was incredible.
“That’s the second time ITV have been
disrespectful. Somebody in the company
tweeted ‘Bye, bye Celtic’ when the group draw
was made last year.”
ITV issued an apology to the club following
the tweet, but it has defended its coverage of
the first leg clash which was commentated on
by Jon Champion and Clarke Carlisle.
After reviewing its coverage, the broadcaster
told The Drum in a statement: “We strongly
reject any suggestion our commentary of
Celtic’s first leg tie against Shakhter
Karagandy was in any way ‘anti’ Celtic or
disrespectful to the club.
“The coverage fairly reflected a disappointing
performance and result by Celtic against a
team they were expected to beat, but
throughout the game the commentary
maintained a clearly expressed respect for
Celtic’s stature as club with a well-
established and long-standing pedigree in
European football.”

Great draw for the club and no doubt Celtic players are capable of raising their game in this company as they proved last night and in previous encounters with the big sides.
Celtic have made the group stages of the Champions Lge for the umpteenth time in the last decade. I reckon Celtic now have a higher profile in European football than any team below the top six in the EPL. Many of the EPL teams would be unknown in Europe.
Interesting to see who the new additions to the squad will be.
