Celtic interim accounts for the 6 months to 31 December were released this afternoon. The standout figure is that, despite Champions League revenue being absent this year, football and stadium income was down from £16.8m to a similar £16.5m. This suggests other ticket sales increased.
The hit from the lack of Champions League came in the multimedia and commercial column, which was down from £19.5m to £7.9m, but the club still make an operating profit of £3.2m. So, we’ve a fairly solid club on our hands.
We invested £5.7m in players, while making a profit of £7.1m on disposals. With player trading, tax and interest all accounted for, we made a profit for the period of £6.601m. This Armageddon thing is working out quite well.

My view on Kris is based on last season. Mik Lustig runs him close, on skill and intelligence but is a better player than Kris. Love em both and Izzy. Maybe my faves blind me? :)

Your being a bit hard on Kris there…top scorer last season, played a few games that he was ineffective for most parts.
Maybe the thought of the upheaval of his family also played on his mind, along with other reasons.
He has come good again and deserved his two year contract…

Whoa, hold your horses. Celtic are the stable club as they’ll win the league in a canter. There is absolutely no chance of it being neck and neck. Aberdeen are already running out of pace and I bet it ends up a one horse race.
As for Sevco, we all know that they have already been put out to pasture. Hay, even the new club is a nightmare and have neigh jockey since Mctrowell also declared he wants grazing leave, or not to hurt his feelings, put out to grass.
So why the long face I ask, the Castlemilk globe trotter or more commonly known as the fiddler on the hoof can lead a horse to water but a pencil must be led.
