Celtic interim accounts for the 6 months to 31 December were released this afternoon. The standout figure is that, despite Champions League revenue being absent this year, football and stadium income was down from £16.8m to a similar £16.5m. This suggests other ticket sales increased.
The hit from the lack of Champions League came in the multimedia and commercial column, which was down from £19.5m to £7.9m, but the club still make an operating profit of £3.2m. So, we’ve a fairly solid club on our hands.
We invested £5.7m in players, while making a profit of £7.1m on disposals. With player trading, tax and interest all accounted for, we made a profit for the period of £6.601m. This Armageddon thing is working out quite well.

Neganon
Firstly, apologies, I did misrepresent you (on this occasion) when I stated that you claimed that the Church had said nothing regarding the OBaF Act.
What you claimed was that there had been a deal done which subsequently led to Church leaders holding their tongue, in public at least, regarding their concerns about the Act.
Thank you for providing evidence of the meeting which too place between Bishop Tartaglia and Salmond. This was no secret, indeed the fact that you copied an article from the Herald to highlight your point is an indication that the meeting was open and transparent.
Having read the article, though I was well aware of it previously, I see that the Bishop emerged smiling from the meeting. I’m sorry Neganon but I still don’t see that as evidence that any deal was done.
Could he have been smiling because he received some assurances from Salmond about what in fact would be deemed unlawful?
I remind you of the quotes I provided from Peter Kearney earlier. These quotes highlighting opposition to the Act were made AFTER the meeting to which you refer.
I’m afraid to make allegations like the one you made, you’re going to have to produce more than you have if I’m to be convinced.

It’s getting beyond ridiculous, sfa will do feck all and with very few exceptions neither will anyone else. I find it hilarious at times and totally infuriating at others. They’re all still trying to do their utmost to keep their establishment mob afloat. Get’s quite sickening really

Delahunt said the club was liquidated, he’s thrown off the shackles, unfortunately the rule book went with them. The lad is clearly rattled after todays announcement.
Throw out the rule book! Dear oh dear
Anyone know what the financial returns TV gate receipts and sponsorship from the Glasgow derbies against Rangers before their demise. What are we out of pocket.
I might have one spare for tomorrow if anyone’s interested.
Either post on here or contact me at hamiltontim@hotmail.co.uk

Dj67, as long as the referee doesn’t book the player then the compliance officer can get involved. In this case the only reason he won’t is because of who the player earns his inflated living from. Sevco.
The monkey tent heading for London….wonder if any Chelski fans will attend in lieu of their her-suit cousins.
BFSDJ bemoaning the fact Sevco never put the boot in
They numbers cant be true
Raman never mentioned a thing :))))))))))))))))
How’s the Glasgow Rangers?
But, but, but the Berz said we owed gazillions of pounds to someone…. This is timmy propaganda……
Any.minute now we’re getting liquidated……
Rubicon – you may have went Boom just a second too late
But I still require a pint with you in the Smoke – when free of course !!
Hope all good

SSB is now switched off, remember why I don’t listen to it,cringeworthy hun appeasement, they should change the superscoreboard theme tune to Clappa,Clappa Handies.
Pathetic programme.
Does anyone on here have any medical expertise?
It’s my sides – they’re killing me.
The Huns just keep on giving:
‘Aye, yeez can huv yer EGM…In London.’
Booooooooooooommmmmmmm!
Perma-rage becomes nuclear-rage.
Hahahahahahaahahahahaahaaaaaaaaaaa….
Chris McG on BBC definitely just said administration was followed by liquidation. Is this a new dawn for truth?
Sandman
Well they are The Quintessentially Britush Clumpany after all:)))
Sandman – be careful. There is no sign of an end to the hilarity and I fear for your well being……. Take time out to consider less funny things than sevco. Although you may find yourself erupt in to laughter for no apparent reason as some aspect of the sitcom comes to mind or your see a guy in a sevco top.
Pace yourself.

All the more reason to try and qualify for the Champions League group stage next season, given the fact that the BT deal will kick in. Again we are at a point where we can progress both on and off the field over the next 7-8 months. Some good positive decisions being made recently, which I hope will be replicated at the end of the season, with the CL qualifiers as our major goal.
Or, we could win the Europa League!

It’s not all fun and hilarity. I have to watch my hernia and also make sure my new hip doesn’t pop…I began thinking someone was pumping laughing gas into my living room. Surprisingly it’s just a bad case of sevcohilario….be very careful it is very infectious but strangely it affects everyone apart from primates.

Sevco sevco thats the holding company for me…..
Sevco sevco we’ve no History…
We’re the finest holding company in Scotland I hope you will agree…
We’ll never give up until the semi of a Cup and runners up in the lower spfl leagues
Sandman – you picked a bad time to get a hernia and get a new hip…..

“Chris McG on BBC definitely just said administration was followed by liquidation. Is this a new dawn for truth?”
And, crucially, he said “THE CLUB went into administration and subsequently liquidation”.
The Truth Will Out.
Well said the Celt on Clyde SSB a few mins ago.
Im Dave King I got a 84 yr jail term, how do you sell that to the SFA
BBC Scotland reporting that Celtic turnover was down, this is down and that is down. What they did not say that the club made a profit over the last 6 months.Any company will tell you,Profit is everything.
Very quiet on here, back home now in darkest Lanarkshire…..maybr should have nipped round to Blane Valley to see if any of the mote regular posters were in?
Going forward i only see us having one big asset to sell, VVD. The big man has been great and i wouldn’t grudge him a big move. I think we should hold out for a least £10 million.

Heartfelt sympathy to you and all of Rena’s Family
I am just in from Church, with my Uncle James having been presented,
And have lit a wee candle in her memory
A wee prayer for both
I commend to you, Gentle and Loving Father, James McCabe & Rena ? ? ?
And all who have been freed by the power of your Son from slavery to sin to death
Make haste to bring them to the fullness of life and happiness with you
Purify them from all that is not holy so that they may dwell in the mystery of your perfect love forever
Amen
Bournesoup – resting in peace!

Is it not a safe bet to think the football and stadium income was boosted by the Commonwealth Games ceremony rental? We’re all aware that ticket sales aren’t on the rise, more’s the pity. I’m optimistic that it’ll happen soon.
Interesting that we appear to have repaid +£3m of the bank loan four years earlier than required.

The SFA will be willing to buy that’s for sure. It’s just a question of whether they get the chance or not. Big Mike will decide.

Fair play i was thinking 12-15 but may have been open to ridicule?
There have been some complaints about the amount of comments about the deid club on a Celtic site.
What about for every time one mentions the name sevco/ newco etc, on here, that they pledge an amount to Mary’s Meals?
I’m not computer savvy but could we not set up a simple system where we can contribute to the cause, Mary’s Meals, for mentioning the deid club?
Any advice Computer ghuys?
