CELTIC KID ON THE MOVE

CELTIC kid Robbie Deas has left the champions after agreeing a three-year deal with Inverness Caley Thistle.

The 20-year-old defender still had 12 months on his Hoops contract to run, but has decided to move to the Championship outfit in his quest for game-time.

The highly-rated former Scotland Under-19 international centre-back made 26 appearnces while on loan for ex-Celt Peter Grant’s Alloa last season.

Deas was watched by several other second tier clubs following his performances for the Clackmannanshire side as they avoided relegation.

Caley gaffer John Robertson moved swiftly to bolster his defensive options, according to a report in the Press and Journal, and the starlet is his second addition of the summer following the capture of Elgin City forward Shane Sutherland.

Deas joins a list of defenders leaving Parkhead since the end of the previous campaign with Jozo Simunovic and Jonny Hayes quitting at the end of their deals while goalkeeper Craig Gordon rejoined Hearts.
