CELTIC have been linked with Nigerian left-back Kingsley Madu, of Slovakian side FK Trencin.
The 10-times capped Under-20 international has attracted the attention of the SPFL champions as well as Dutch sides Ajax and PSV Eindhoven and Belgium’s Gent.
Madu, 19, featured for Nigeria at the 2013 Under-20 World Cup in Turkey and has established himself with his club side.
The exciting, attacking defender could move in the summer although his contract still has 18 months to run. His Slovakian club may cash in on the player who joined them from Nigerian League outfit El Kanemi Warriors only last year.
His agent, Tony Harris, has strong connections at Celtic as well as PSV and Gent, where one of his players, Moses Simon, is performing brilliantly after breaking through at Trencin.
Ronny Deila has made a new left-back a priority signing as he looks for cover for Emilio Izaguirre.
