Celtic should start Edouard tonight

136

This crisis cost many their lives, a number from our own community.  It has robbed others of health, livelihoods and companionship.  Those of us fortunate enough to attend Celtic Park tonight will mark the memory of those we lost with a minute’s applause.  We are not over this yet, please take no chances.

Having scored four goals in the away leg, I’m not going to insult you with a cautionary note.  Celtic will qualify comfortably tonight and face AZ Alkmaar next week in the play-off round.  AZ have yet to play a competitive match; tonight will be Celtic’s sixth.  The objective this evening must be to maximise this advantage and ensure the squad is as fit as possible next midweek.

Give whoever needs match practice a run out and blast the final cobwebs into the night sky.  That almost certainly means giving Odsonne Edouard a start.

  1. Guys my son in law, nephew and Grandson are using the tickets we have through season tickets tonight.

Is there any platform showing the game.

I thought it was Premier and invited a fes people in but now my mate is trying to purchase on Celtic tv but it does not seem to be working.

If you sign up for CTV do you get tonight’s game free and live?

    D :)

  2. someone mentioned all the charges we are getting,

if they ever get hot running water i wonder how much it will be.

  3. Armrnians have scudded the bar three times. Now they are in front 3-2. Things looking bad for 10 man Kazakhs, with a couple of them getting cramp. Karagandy and Astana out of competition, Tobol Kostanay and Kairat will probably join them today, leaving Kazakhstan with no Euro participants.

  4. VP – Cheers but that’s my mate has tried that and it’s not working

    We will keep trying.

Anyone else purchased it tonight and has it went ok?

    Thanks

    D :)

You once again not struggling to be pedantic.

I merely pointed out that £20m could represent a third of our turnover this season, which I expect to be £60+ million. It was simply a illustration for the purpose of comparison – one figure with another, nothing to do with PROFIT, DISPOSALS, or, ASSETS.

  7. The mighty New Saints of Wales leading Viktoria Pizen 5-2 on aggregate. Pizen are 5 points ahead of Jablonec in the league this season. What has happened to Czech football?

So looking forward to being there tonight……..perfect for first game back Shanks’s pony now back in the stable due to the weather.

You once again not struggling to be pedantic

Far from it, I’m sure you’ll agree when discussing finances precision is essential. Easy to draw a false picture otherwise

    By way of example:

In accounting terms total income includes both revenues and profit from disposal of assets. So to use the total sale price (excluding sell on fees) as a percentage of revenues makes no sense. Any P&L forecasting would include revenues and all profits, so far more representative would be to take the forecast profit from OE’s sale as a percentage of revenues + all profit from asset disposals

Profit from OE’s sale/revenues + all profits from sales of assets.

Given that we have already booked a profit of over 10m for Ajer if you insist on suggesting there’s a worry about not receiving income from OE’s sale it would be misrepresenting things not to include it in your income amount

And given that in our last year when we weren’t affected by covid our revenues were £84m I’d be interested to know how you came to £60m for this. We’ve sold out of season tickets, where does a shortfall of £23m come from?

  12. Just back from game. A lot of angry supporter (many hundreds) sent to ticket office to get printed tickets will be lucky to catch any of the game. The queue is enormous. No movement snails pace service at ticket office. Will be demanding apology and monies for wasted trip to the stadium.

I had a ticket and attended last night’s game but decided to purchase it on Celtic TV about 5 pm for my grandson. I had to register a username and password and give my bank details. My grandson got the game without any problems and watched on his iPad. I’m sorry you had bother. I absolutely hate it when Celtic are playing and I can’t watch it.
