  1. Gene's a Bhoys name on

    Auldheid

as we know they can’t get back cause they are deid – they must be talking about a newco

  2. Could we not manage to get a sevco colts side in the bundesliga, la liga and premiership too? Those leagues are obviously in deep crisis with all those runaway leaders. And no English team in the last 8 either! The EPL needs a strong ranjurzz!!!!

  3. Love that guy Sean deserves a meda

    Seans says

“All you have done is talk about Rangers

THEY ARE NOT IN THE SPL”

Sean repeats it later after Keevins has a wee dig about the crowds

Delapunter says okay Sean heard you the first time

    haaaaaaaa haaaaaaaaa

Sean have a cyber pint on me

‘Fraser Wishart,Gus McPherson and Gordon Dalziell argue the case for fast tracking Sevco to the SPL

You would think they had their own agenda to listen to them’

They are fighting for their jobs, every one of them.

    That’s why they’re so desperate.

    Hell mend them.

  5. Today we had the Good, the Bad and the Ugly. The Good is self evident and I’m thrilled to bits about it but also realistic enough to realise we were Bad for long periods. I thought earlier in the season we had the Personnel to create a great team, I’m not so sure now, I believe 5 or 6 should be moved on either for profit or cos they are not good enough and new talent is required to give us the team we crave.

The Ugly is very much the massive Police operation surrounding a couple of hundred peaceful football supporters who just planned to walk on the public highway to a football game. It was like Belfast in the sixties. The lunatics are in charge of the asylum in Scotland, worrying times indeed.

  6. Sometimes you pray for a game to play out like that to focus the team. The galvanising factor that will have in the dressing room is unquantifiable. We have no worries on the park for the rest of the season now.

    However

Today marks a line in the sand on two counts.

1.The admission by Calderwood that Scottish Football is a corrupt cabal where integrity vanished years ago proving definitively that Chris Sutton was right all those years ago.

    2. The on-going demonization of a considerable section of the Celtic support in general with the Green Brigade as the focal point. This is descending into the scenes from Ireland in the late 60’s .

Whether it is only perceived or not, the complicity or lack of engagement by Celtic PLC has to be addressed.

Peter Lawwell may have a set of social skills and moral values which have seen him rise to become the CEO of the Club. However the lack of spine shown thus far in protecting a considerable section of his income source is negligent at best.

There may be a whole group of Celtic supporters who will carry on watching Celtic regardless of how we are treated with contempt by the governing body of cheats and liars. Some supporters will continue with a shrug and say it has always been that way.

There will be another contingent who will say they watch Celtic for reasons of pleasure and community belonging that has nothing to do with politics or ‘psuedo-Irishness’.

Both of these groups will continue to support Celtic come hell or high water and for that Peter Lawwell should be eternally grateful. None of these Celtic supporters have anything to be ashamed about. They are entitled to hold their views and do and think as they please.

However, there is a considerable number of paying customers who will not stand by and accept what is an affront to their own sense of decency and justice. Now decency of course is subjective. I have no doubt that Peter Lawwell does not share the same concept of what is ‘socially acceptable’ that a large number of Celtic fans do. Conversely, most supporters do not benefit from Lawwell’s privileged position. That does not mean his version of decency is right and theirs is wrong. We pride ourselves on being a broad church apparently. People lead very different lives and experiences so it is very natural to be different.

Maybe the PLC want a certain type of fan. Maybe they think they can afford to narrow the church a wee bit. That would appear to be the case so far. I think it is a tragic route to take. What will Celtic lose in terms of vibrancy and uniqueness in the quest for passive acceptability? One thing is now crystal clear. Celtic supporters are being shafted. Now we are being criminalised. Some have had enough. Celtic PLC do not want to confront this, they continue to operate in a climate where the fans are treated with what is now beyond contempt.

Celtic are showing utter complacency by neglecting a huge part of what makes it tick. What damage is done to Celtic when pictures emerge of baton wielding police thugs charging Celtic fans peacefully demonstrating about unfair policing? How did we get to this and how will this be spun in our media?

You can’t quantify what that means so stick purely to economics, the only thing they understand. How many people can you afford to ostracise for not being in step with corporate vision or strategy and still be viable? How many fans can you lose through sickening them with meek acceptance of corruption on a national scale?

Even if the PLC do not share the same values of these sections of support, it matters not a jot. It would be nice to think that every Celtic supporter sang from the same hymn sheet but that is patently absurd. The PLC do however have a duty to protect the club from loss of revenue caused by unjust external influences. People have started to walk away now and the PLC must take action or shoulder the blame when revenue and competing power recedes. By that time what will have been lost?

The fact that it will be the need for money that leads the PLC to act is the saddest part of all.

” try to avoid talking about Sally’s pass. no way I’m listening to”

What is this “Sally’s pass”, of which you speak?

  8. Corkcelt

I was one of those critics and certainly don’t feel embarrassed .

Our tactics and team selection were poor as they have been in a lot of spl games.

I think justifiable criticism is fine.

Do not recall anyone making up lies to bolster their criticism. ?

We were rescued by individual moments rather than some brilliant strategy and while the coach gets credit for substitutions it was about only thing he got right.

The selection of Kayal in recent weeks has coincided with poor form so why keep picking?

The lack of any shape down the spine of the team is glaring.

It’s not just on the park that we lack leadership.

  9. “Helicopter footage will be used as part of the investigation”. Taxpayers are paying for this police-state-type operation.

  10. Sevconian on SSB living in a parallel universe.

You’re only bringin’ us back for wur money

Lns fund us not guilty – not challenged.

    It’s aw Neil Lennon’s fault.

Tee hee. I feel your pain.

  11. Celtic caller says we need cameras in the snyde studio

Thinks the Keevins and Dalziel were holding hands when we were 1-3 down

Callers spot on they were drooling when we were 1-3 down

But if you have faith in our team anything is possible

I love Celtic especially their comebacks and they have had a good few !

Calderwood said that Murray phoned him re the Dunfermline job, told him to take it and eventually he’d get a move to Ibrox. He also alluded to the relationship Murray had with the DAFC owner Masterton who was chief of lending at BOS-Murray’s fav lender.

  13. Was down in kinning park looking for a part for my boiler this morning. Saw the riot vans gathering – about 6 or 7.

Thought it very strange, and sinister.

  14. Time for a class action lawsuit against Police behavior towards Green brigade.

They will get no justice from Scottish courts(just ask Neil Lennon)

But the EUropean courts will be more impartial.

Worrying times in the best wee bigoted country in the world

  15. Loving the comeback. Great stuff. Back in the 80s we were loving these games.

The Incredible fickle followers that we have never ceases to amaze me. They boo fergus they boo Quinn they boo strachan. These folk are consumers at best. Hope those who left early are proud of themselves.

Playing to a pathetic old media agenda. Just as they are raising the fast track rangers back agenda with desparation on Clyde scoreboard our pathetic malcontents dance the tune again.

  16. Well done to Sammi! Brilliant effort from him. It was the Stokes off and Sammi on that made the difference.

I absolutely underline posts from earlier on. We were gash for a lengthy period and Lenny and the coaching staff need to look at their tactics. Stokes should have been hooked earlier. No excuses.

    @17:11

Many thanks. Going to get a bit of shut eye now but will rest easy, thankfully. HH

  18. Tonight Mr Lennon you should sit at the feet of Georgi Samaras beg his forgiveness and be humble enough to wash his feet. Georgi won’t cost you your job he is more than likely to prolong your tenure

It was Kayal that Sammi came on for, Lassad came on for Stokes and was abysmal. Stokes should have stayed on but Hooper is untouchable in the manager’s eyes even when he isn’t trying a leg like the majority of the game today.

  20. Just back on bus a Burghbhoy junior fleeced me in the superstore , taking advantage of my good mood! Fantastic comeback, brilliant from the Greek Ghod.

Big Fraser a bit too jittery for my liking but!

  21. Guidi says Celtic fans left in their hundreds when Aberdeens 3rd went in

If Guidi is correct and not following the get them back agenda

Then they early leavers must have been newbhoys or our version of the prawn sandwich brigade

Someone should whisper in their ear Celtic are the comeback Kings on and off the park

In comebacks we are the best in the business in 1994 we came back from dead not as zombies but as realistic club living within our means with a fanbase faithful through and through

  22. having seen the green brigade video footage

200 police plus helicopter and police horses

the total cost must run into thousands of pounds of tax payers cash

this is being run from high up in the goverment

strathclyde police are getting the ok from the snp goverment

    what is the agenda?

to make arrests to justify the high numbers of police that have got nothing to do ?

hope the bhoys arrested today have a good lawyer and bring complaints against any officer who have overstepped their remit

get their badge number and go see your member of parliment

hit them were it really hurts

as for the celtic plc board….man up

we are all the green brigade

OK…correct. However, the net result of Stokes off and Sammi on, for me, made the difference. Kayal wasn’t ripping up amy trees either. Lassad poor, like some others, Hoops included but Stokes was dire IMO.
