congrats on 25 years……she is one tolerant woman :-)

sent u a wee text re our vast fortune from cheltenham…….your not retiring yet.

  2. If today’s result teaches us anything

it tells us that if we stick together and KTF

    we can achieve great things.

It’s the sticking together bit that

we seem to be having a problem with.

  3. TBB- sorry to hear about the boy, I’m sure you all as a family are all pretty distressed but wishing him a speedy recovery and hope to see him again soon.

Missed the game today but listened to it on a crackly 810m on the northbound M74, much blasting of the horn at 3-3 and 4-3.

Switched to Snyde at FT when I got in range, I wish I hadn’t- quite the most disgraceful piece of broadcasting I have heard in years. My blood was boiling by the time I got home.

Keevins and Guidi’s logic- Celtic were down 3-1 and not trying therefore the SPL needs Sevco to save it from Armageddon and must be fast-tracked as a matter of priority. No credit to Aberdeen or indeed Ross Co or Motherwell who all played a big part in Celtic playing poorly in the last few weeks.

Did these idiots sleep through the summer? Any fast tracking and I withdraw every single penny of the estimated £1000+ I spend each season supporting Scottish football.

Well done to Seanbhoy though- spoke with the passion many of us feel.

At the game I was of the opinion that Wilson was fouled for their first goal and after seeing the you tube clip I’m even more convinced that he was pushed over. Every week we see the advantage going to the defender but today’s official seemed to buck the trend ;)

Who was the ref today. A rising star?

  6. Somebody mentioned quisling before and I ask, who’s advising the GB? Everybody knows that a march needs permission and even if they somehow didn’t they must know that a group big enough to stop traffic as it marches is going to attract the attention of plod.

I find the police tactics today abhorrent but it seems like the GB keep walking into the trap.

“I gave £20 to the wummin today” said dark mary, ma woman

Ye whit? Says I, what wummin? I love ya, but yer a soft one. She’s probably got mair money than us.

She had a wain, says she.

I took a deep breath… Cos else you die… And used my best wisdom voice…

Look, sweetheart, you cannie solve the worlds problems… These things have always been and will always be

When i was a child, said she, my favourite song was “this littile light of mine”. Now, in your persecuted pretendy hardman psyche, thats goin to come over as a bit twee.

    It does said I

Your cynicism will kill you, said Mary, you only breath out

Harsh, and a bit threatening, i thought

Her: i made a promise… One good act a day

Me: to who? Ah mean whom? They’ll take ye furra fool

Her: I’d rather be a generous fool, than a shiter, who pretends to know more of this world than I do

  8. Just a couple of quick points about today.

It was a good exciting game watched by a small crowd of people who were initially bored, then frustrated, then angry, then delighted.

Some of the best goal mouth action this year has happened in front of small CP crowds. I enjoyed the Raith Rovers and St. Johnstone LC ties when you could not give tickets away for free. The 0:0 with Benfica in front of a large enthused crowd was not as enjoyable as today.

We were, yet again, poor today but there was no tactical deficiency, merely individual player error. No sooner do we get Efe sorted out and playing safety first football, then Kelvin decides to have a couple of moments.

We did not win with a clear tactical change but with a bit of a cavalry charge. And welcome it was to see it as we had not shown much urgency until Brother McLean got us annoyed.

Sammi deserves the majority of the plaudits(and Summa of Sammi will have a good St Paddy’s Day in Sydney as a result) but bravery was also shown by Lassad, Izzy and Efe at times in that cavalry charge too. Lassad was performing poorly when he came on but still went looking for work and never hid. He earned a bit of respect from me because of that (must be the gallus Glasgow accent he has picked up)

We are neither a good team nor a bad team because of recent form but we are in a bit of a slump. Thankfully, the league will be won soon and we’ll forget all about the bad days but we need to have our game heads on for, hopefully, two more SC ties.

More important than the game today are the following things:-

The disgraceful treatment of Celtic fans by our police commanders and Focus, in particular.

The wonderful effort of the Kano cyclists in appalling weather. You guys deserve a long rest and some good drink.

The memory of Matt Kane, who was celebrated on our screen at CP today. I will raise a glass in his memory, Martin.

And the continuing fight shown by Wee Oscar and Miki67, among many in our support, who have more than an unsatisfactory game of football to deal with.

Enjoy St. Patrick’s day tomorrow with a wee tune and some buck dancing
