  1. On way home from game

    A wretched performance from most

    Thankfully Aberdeen are very poor

Concerning times at CFC . We are far from being a decent side . So many players off form

Lenny can bluster .. Frankly so can I ..team is still guff .

You lie. Proved that the other night when you tried your wee rephrasing nonsense. Remember that ? Found you really funny, when you confused me with some other poster too. Were you sozzled or sober and confused like at 19:35 tonight.

Did you enjoy Samaras’ goal ?

I hope Paul67 is taking his time and choosing his words carefully.

Not only regarding the fantastic result but more importantly the treatment of fellow Celtic fans by the police

Met malorbhoy today, he said you were going for lunch and then the game with oldtim, never saw him in his seat….was looking out for you both…..

  5. “A spokeswoman for Strathclyde police said: “At around 1pm, police were called to reports of a large number of people gathering outside the Chrystal Bell pub at Gallowgate, Glasgow. The crowd, many of whom were wearing similar hooded tops and using scarfs to hide their identities, appeared to be attempting to stage an illegal street procession and officers were deployed to prevent this.”

They’ll be banning the wearing of the green next.

Agree but thought Lustig Commons and Sammi all put in good shifts.

Our organization and tactics are very poor.

The defense are very vulnerable straight down the middle.

Coaches need to teach them the basics of a partnership.Who picks up who?Marking space when partner shifts and simply not to ballwatch

Re Calderwoods comments, he was the manager when the had a wee lie down on the final day…..Big Chris called it right…..

Great comeback but a terrible performance aperture from first 5 and last 5 mins!

  9. Saturday, March 16, 2013Escape from The Green Brigade!

I feel like the title of this blog should be on one of those 50’s style film posters.

I can honestly say in my 38 years on the planet I have never seen anything like what I saw today just off the Gallowgate.

Walking to the game today, The Green Brigade were met with a presence of police that suggested Barack Obama was heading for Celtic Park. I counted 15 police vans, another 15 or so Arnold Clark hire vans (to bus police in from other areas) at least eight mounted police and numerous police dogs. There was also around 300 uniformed officers, most with their numbers covered up and all putting out a menacing vibe.

    There was no riot.

No one had broken the law.

So, what exactly were the police doing?

What the hell is going on in Scotland?

This perception that The Green Brigade are the biggest threat to society since Polio would be hilarious if it wasn’t so serious.

Remember, at the risk of repeating myself, these are Celtic supporters who want to go to Celtic games to support Celtic.

    That’s a crime now?

In today’s Scotland, it would seem so.

  10. Thindimebhoy @19:42 at its worst the bedroom tax will see those who were born in and contributed to this country forced to give up council houses to those who can claim neither, and probably never will.

It will make people sell their houses at less than they might otherwise have obtained for them. It will also, alongside the house of multiple occupancy rules, further distort the market in small dwellings.

  11. Mein Gött in Himmel : the one day I go AWOL and all hell breaks loose in a tiny tin-pot state.

Has Der Oppengruhppenfuhrer Leaping Salmond been seen stripped naked upside down hanging from an Auld Reekie lamp-post yet? Coz that is surely his fate, the auld closet queen nazi rampendooft.

Zut alors, what would the French have to say.

Oh well, meds are on the me’n’u tonite. I shall be perusing this calamity until Jane brings me my horse.

    Still baffled.

    What’s new?

    HH!

  12. Overall it was fantastic entertainment at Paradise today.

Sammi securing victory from the jaws of defeat, in injury time, with an overhead kick, after being 1-3 down. Magnificent!

To all the total fajitas who left at 1-3, with half an hour to go, shame on you.

Bet you will be first in line in a fortnight when we play for the title. Rant over.

Anyway, Kayal and Stokes,if that is your best, it is not good enough.

Midfield needs, no must have, Broonie and Vic67 starting. I love big Chas Muldini but he needs those two as does Joe16. Neither of these players shine in a makeshift midfield, which it is without the captain and Vic67.

Kris Commons is our only real creative player. If only he had pace. Well if he did, he probably wouldn’t be with us.

If, when Vic67 goes we desperately need a like for like replacement.

Kelvin was rag dolled all over the park today by the limited but strong and persistent, Maginnis. When are Celtic managers going to admit that,in the SPL, a Bobo type centre back is what is required. Save your Kelvins, excellent player that he is, for the right games, but recognise that the game he excels at, is rarely the game, he is called upon to play in the SPL.

Anyway, Georgious and Chas, Kris and Hoops, thanks for saving my weekend.

Hope you have a peaceful evening Murray.

What a load of old nonsense…..I’ve been supporting Celtic for 58 years and have never been angry with the Bhoys, win, lose or draw…. I was today ……I didn’t even celebrate the 3rd goal ….. the players only decided to start playing when we were 2 goals behind…….that is not Neil’s fault…….anyway, I certainly celebrated the winner…….Wee bit more effort / pace lhads, please…..

Did anyone hear SEAN on SSB after the game….he was BRILLIANT ……ripped them to shreds….HILARIOUS…..they cut him off when they realised he was SPOT ON, and had them by the ‘short and curlies’…….TAKE A BOW, SEAN …..!!!!!!!!!!!!

  16. scotlands shame on

Any links to goals very much appreciated. We are all Celtic we are all t green brigade. Hail hail

  17. A great start and an even better finish today. Well done Bhoys. Just a shame about the bit in between!

According to the BBC site Aberdeen had 5 shots on target and scored 3 goals (a 60% conversion rate), while Celtic had 13 shots on target and scored 4 goals (just under 31%). So Aberdeen’s conversion rate was twice as good as Celtic’s. Surely this begs some questions about the quality of Celtic’s play(ers) at both ends of the park?

Anyway, on a more positive note, we are now just one win away from being Champions.

We will have another game against Motherwell at Celtic Park, after the split. If we win that by a single goal we would have 68 points, even if we lose every match from now until then. Motherwell would then be able to get no more than 68 points, even if they win every other match this season.

With a comparative goal difference advantage of 37, Celtic could lose every other match this season by three goals and Motherwell win every other match by the same margin, and Celtic would still be champions. The chances of that lot happening are about equivalent to the chances of me winning the lottery jackpot tonight, and I don’t have a ticket.

So, win at home to Motherwell and the title is ours… as long as Inverness don’t win all of their last seven games (including the one against Celtic) by three goals, to pip us by one on goal difference!

  19. BCW when you’re arrested the police go to the address you gave to confirm that you do, indeed, live there. Anyone sharing a house with YOU might be tempted to deny all knowledge of someone called BCW if they thought it would in any way delay your release.

Your Nazi nonsense at 19:57 just confirms all I want to know about you.

  24. ernie lynch I knew you’d do that. You need everything spoon fed and spelled out to you. I was painting the picture as it will be portrayed by the right. You haven’t the imagination to see that.

I’m more concerned about the division such manoeuvres will create.

BTW the situation I outlined will have resonance in reality in many cases, with larger immigrant families, mainly from the third world, being given said council houses. If they’re dumped in Scotland, they are unlikely to work. Look at Sighthill. New houses in the Garngad are being allocated in this way and it is causing absolute fury.

If you need anything else in my 19:57 post explained to you, let me know.

Do you know what it I mean when I say “at its worst”?

  25. Just in from the game (had to stop off in Glasgow for a meal with a friend, who hasn’t been too well). Does thon Rob MacLeN hate us or what? Listening to Radio Scotland after the game, it was hard to discern from him that we had won. It was all Aberdeen, according to him. Then Chico let Brown prattle on about how we only won because their defense was so bad. No credit to us whatsoever.

  26. For the supporters who left early today. In 1967,I think that was the year,Celtic beat Dunfermline by 5 goals to 4,they were behind 2 nil ,3 one and 4 two before winning ,the lesson to be learnt, never write off the Celtic.

It is now time for the Celtic family to support our own,The Green Brigade are our sons and daughters,do nothing now and you will not have Celtic for your grandchildren,or in many cases like myself, great great grandchildren,or do you want to go and sit at the back of the bus?
