Hard to believe, even for me, that David Murray placed Jimmy Calderwood in the manager’s office at Dunfermline, but given that it was Jimmy himself telling the story, I will just have to. Despite everything that has happened over the last ten or twelve years or so pm (post Martin) that story just about tops everything else that has gone on. As Richard Littlejohn might say, you could not make it up. Trouble is you dont have to.

I thought he picked the team and set the tactics while making adjustments during the game.
Seems I am misguided and Celtic being a unique club do not do as every other team on the planet and use the coach to coach.
This obviously is why Neil points the finger so often at the players and absolves himself from any blame.

For “pass” change the “a”vowel to “I”
The trouble is Keevins and co know only too well that Ally is useless but don’t have the guts to take them on. So they ignore the urine he serves up and tells us we need them.
May it ever stay the same. The world is a better place with them not in our league.

Asonofdan at 19.43, Wtf are you on about, my earlier post was regarding your post from 16.13, where in your words “Celtic died today”, now if that wasn’t being a drama queen then I don’t know what is, go on justify your response at 19.43 to me
Regarding the Green brigade “march”. This is not a march in the sense of the marches which Scotland and Northern Ireland are subjected to by the orange order. A peaceful protest procession by fans on there way to the match. A distance of just over a mile. I would imagine no greater disturbance of the Glasgow public going about there business on a Saturday, than would normally be experienced on any other match day.
It’s a nonsense that just because they did not seek permission for the march, that they would have such a disproportionate police response.
Celtic supporters should contact their MSP to ask questions regarding the cost of this over the top policing in the Scottish parliament.

You’ll notice today’s action against the GB was taken well away from the confines of Celtic Park, where Celtic can say nothing about it (if they were of a mind to, and that’s a different discussion entirely).
The claim was that they were breaking up an unlicensed march. I can even get my head round why under normal circumstances they might group them, then release them in small groups and prevent them gathering en masse elsewhere. However, these aren’t normal circumstances and to adopt kettling for that wee band of people was just ridiculous, intimidatory and confrontational and does nothing to diffuse the ongoing situation.
A better idea – I’d have rolled up with 10 coaches given it a subdued apology and state that we can’t have unlicensed marches, give us a call and well sort it out for a future home game, then taken them straight to the ground.
You are entitled to your opinion, of course. Personally, I think Kayal is a far, far better player than Grant and he does not spend his game pointing his finger pointlessly.

Quick message to say the Leeds contingent made it at last. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It was not without incident and one of the guys entered the canal with just two miles to go.
The Green Brigade harrasment fiasco now has to be adopted by ALL of our Celtic family.
All Celtic related organisations must show unity and back what is a truly great modern day element of the Celtic support.
The Bhoys within section 111 has in my opinion took the witch hunt against them as far as they can without facing serious consequences.
I’m sure the majority agree Celtic park has become carnival like via the Green Brigade bringing colour, noise, passion etc. their is no doubt in my mind they have been the catalyst on pushing the team forward on various occasions for that last minute winner on last gasp tackle.
The Celtic board don’t often get criticised from me, however their stance on this is sickening!
Our club has used the green brigade as a platform for commercial gain time and time again.
We need the Green Brigade as much as they need us right now!
I think they are laying the foundations for our future supporters, just ask any kid what they type into YouTube… The GB search will be up there!
I for one “just can’t
Get enough” of the GB and I hope and pray we all show Unity and help them in their struggle.

Post the Rangers scandel, anyone with a modicum of intelligence can see the Scottish MSM is completely bereft of this attribute. Neilhas done us very proud this season….a young fantastic manager, who has stood up tothe establishment in this Country thevway Jock Stein did …….. The payers only started playing when Aberdeen stunned them into it …..a manager can only put the right team onto the park..if some of them decide to take the afternoon off, that’s something a manager cannot legislate for….but Neil can deal with it before next season, and he will……we are VERY lucky to have NEIL with us…..it has been a transition season, with the bhuns being liquidated, but the players now realise, I hope, that they need to match other teams for EFFORT and commitment…..
