    That is absolutely crucial. I am assuming that those arrested today will actually face charges, possibly of violent disorder. Alfie Meadows, a 22 year old philosophy student was cleared of said charge by a unanimous verdict in Woowich Crown Court just over a week ago. You may recall that Alfie suffered brain injuries after being kettled on Westminster Bridge back in December 2010. Despite that he faced three jury trials before being cleared. No police officer has been charged in relation to Alfy’s injuries. These are the same tactics now being brought to bear in Glasgow. Students, Trade Unionist, Arms Exhibition protesters, the Green Brigade, you get the picture.

    Lazy reporting on reporting Scotland. 200 police deployed to illegal march by gb protesting against members being banned from Celtic park. No mention that police presence was almost 1:1 or that protest was agin police harassment.

    Of course in this day and age there’ll always be someone only too willing to be offended. Esp[ecially amongst Victim-R-We.CSC.

     

     

    Only time I was annoyed by what the huns sung at Parkhead was when they put that big corrugated roof on their end and made it well nigh impossible to compete in the voice stakes. I remember the first time I heard the BOTOB lend thir voices from the stand opposite. We were stunned into silence. They weren’t supposed to do that. They were all stickies? Weren’t they?

    Is there no end to the editorials on here condemning the ongoing harassment of the Green Brigade? Really, every second article seems to be about it. :(

    Shameful tactics by the police today, there is no defending their numbers, use of kettling, helicopter and intimidation. They are supposed to prevent crime and maintain order to me it looks like they provoked a reaction. The GB are not and have never been a violent group. I hear some legal observers were there today and plenty of footage has been taken. It is sad it has come to this.

    Official attendance according to bbc 46,395. That’ll have the zombies foaming at the mouth, again!

     

     

    I would have said around 30k in stadium. I realise that the club, rightly, count all paying customers including season ticket holders but the worry must be the current number turning up will be the maximum season tickets they will sell next season. Probably less, 25-30k

    No I didn’t. I dealt with that in the second half of my 19:23 post. Specifically it was an anti-papal reference.

     

     

    I also dealt with such playground rubbish when I was a child.

     

    I sung lots of anti-Protestant, DOB stuff in and out of Parkhead when I was younger. I was wrong. I don’t particularly regret it. I wouldn’t sing it any more.

     

     

    Tell me BCW what is it going to take for you to get over what those bad boys from Manchester said?

    I’ve saw a fair few demos and marches in the city centre over the years and never saw ‘kettling’ used. The GB must be a real threat to the state.
