Hun skelper, they tried to get at Celtic fans then onto the pitch, not all by any means, but a couple of hundred.

Correct, shocking didn’t think we had a bad player tonight, Ajax pass the ball for fun but mostly to right back, keeper, keeper to left back and back and forth. Moaners will always find something it’s just the way they are.

Another one of the iconic clubs succumbs to Celtic in the Champions league.
The support and stadium has something that the players feed from. I expected the Dutch to have more, but Celtic rocked them from the start. NFL certainly got his tactics correct at the beginning.
Disappointed by the Dutch fans, stupid antics. There are enough fighting clubs in Amsterdam for them to go to if fisticuffs is what they want.
“and do it again a year later with a different team”
Don’t worry – historians will point out that error, but exclude my apology here. I apologise….

As the armageddon theory is once again blown to bits, and the majority of this country’s population including our msm spews at the result, it takes Jamie Redknapp to give CFC the glowing praise we deserve.
Superb night in Paradise the only place to be this CL Tuesday.
Quite funny watching the Dutch bouncy, bouncy wilting when we went 2-0 in front, and taught them how to sing, for good measure, it’ll be some game coming up next in Amsterdam.
The back line were superb and the victory was built on their solidity, and taking the few chances we created, still minus a dominating striker. Mulgrew was M.O.M, and Beram Kayal did well, to begin to recapture missing form, on the biggest platform of all.
16 wins in 26 CL games, is a formidable home record, and the Celtic support is almost a unfair advantage.

Forrest had to wait for two full minutes, with all the distractions the Ajax players could manage in that time.
He then hit the perfect penalty.
If that didn’t show composure then I don’t know what did

If we can win in Amsterdam and Barcelona win at home to Milan, it sets us up nicely for Milan at home.
Celtic on 6 points; Milan on 5.
It would mean a victory puts us into the last 16 with a game to spare.

it has been a long time since I’ve seen so much police activity around Celtic park before a game – there were at least a dozen police cars outside the belgrove hotel when I passed – low flying helicopter with spotlight – reminds me of the bad old days that I hope never to see again

Just back from game, waiting on highlights.
To summarise.
They were better first half, we were better second.
Just back from the game and settling down to a late-night bowl of tagliatelle.
Thoughts…
1. Magnificent effort by the Bhoys. Shorn of experienced and quality players they absolutely stepped up to the plate against a decent Ajax team. Huge plus marks to Mulgrew, Efe, Virgil, and Kayal (welcome back!)
2. Sammi. Wonderful. A true CL-class performer and leader of bhoys tonight. Utterly brilliant gutsy, skillful, clever game from him. He is already a legend in my book.
3. James Forrest. Tremendous coolness under pressure at the penalty. Thought the behaviour of the Ajax keeper was a disgrace, incredible he wasn’t booked.
4. Ajax fans… hmmm… lots of broken seats I saw…
Overall, utterly delighted. Passed a bus full of Huns (must have been) with my scarf waving merrily from the window. Priceless looks on their faces, a reminder of their miserable place in the scheme of things these days.

Great to see Hopper in the crowd.
Not many former team members return.
Really fancy our chances in Amsterdam
Ajax need the win and will open up
With Sammy and forests pace could do some damage ala Agathe, Petta last time we beat them there.
Man of the match Charlie followed by VVD ……HH
