Had a most enjoyable but altogether brief conversation with his granddaughter once. Never met in person. Was a youngster working with Brit Airways at the time. It was done all over the phone. She was pleasantly/hesitantly surprised that the young man checking in her flight to Belfast had the audacity to ask if she was related to the late, great, Sir Roger? “I’m his great/grand daughter” says she. “I hope you’re proud” sez I. “Yes, I am”. I wish I could have explained it better.

Last season we would have lost that! We would be the team thinking wtf? When they scored I admit it thought here we go again… But did we!!?! This IS a turning point in my mind. We have resilience again. I have missed that!

Thanks for introducing me to Jim Jefferies.

    Never heard of him.

    Amazingly.

  7. Someone mentioned Vojvodina.

Aye what a goal that was as Charlie Laid the ball on Billy’s head as the clock clicked down.

I think a draw would have meant a game in Amsterdam.

If someone had scripted that it couldn’t have contained more drama.

Dembele will be getting the part as the cavalry bugler in a western.

Anyway. I’m giddy and tired after a hundred and twenty mile round trip this evening.

    But I probably won’t sleep.

    Can’t wait for Friday.

Delighted with result, and puts us in a good position

Now we can focus on next round & hopefully qualification.

If we do qualify, we have to be realistic about the number & type of signings we can make.

For me, we need another striker who can score in big games.

An injury to Griff & we have a problem, as Cifci isnt good enough & Dembele is a youngster and likely to be inconsistent.

The second priority for me is a better keeper. Craig Gordon was great in first season, but has been a 7.5/10 keeper since, and hasnt looked too clever with any of the goals we have lost in Europe this year.

My other priority would be set pieces. Historically, these have been a strength for us in Europe, but right now, we look nowhere near scoring with them.

Also, for some of our youngsters, lets get them out on loan, particularly Henderson, Ajer & possibly Christie-if they cant make the bench tonight, then its best to get game time elsewhere.

The other guy I would potentially loan out is OConnell (puts tin hat on). I say that because he has performed very well, but realistically he wont command a place once Boyata, Erik and Simu return, and id rather he played 25 games at a Dundee Utd than sat on the bench at CP.

Finally, no Efe tonight and a change of club is probably best for all.

It’s with a Heavy Heart i ask CQN to keep the Family of Yet another Celtic Man to pass away from the B*stard of a Disease called Motor Neurone Disease in their Prayers..

Tommy Carmichael did what most of us just dream about by Signing for the Famous Glasgow Celtic as a outside right in season 59-60.. Tommy passed away peacefully yesterday morning on Australia’s Gold Coast surrounded by his Family..

A great man with a great family taken too soon..

Rest in Peace Tommy.. You are Free Now

Thanks Buddi.. We need to Find out More about this Disease..

Why is it happening to so many Sportsmen/Women..?

That’s 2 of my best friends Dads have been taken by MND Both Played for Celtic.. I believe John Cushley also taken by MND signed around the same time as Tommy and I believe Jinky was not long after them..

    Can’t just be a Coincidence..

I sang a rendition of this beautifully as I could.

Scottish lowlands folk festival affair in a field some twenty years ago near Dunblane I thionk. They didnt appreciate anything with an Irish connotation. I ddint like the vibes but nevertheless.

    Hanovarians or Jacobites?

“Bought and sold for English gold”

Either way. I received a rounding applause which was true.
