I have met Don McCullin on numerous occasions and his talent and bravery was extraordinary.
He always seemed a little ill at ease with the celebrity status and so called normal life when he returned to London.
It had to be difficult talking about the horrors of war and he never comfortable or willing to do such.
He was incredibly passionate on his work for UNICEF.
Another i met was Eddie Adams who took the famous picture of the Vietnamese general executing the prisoner with a bullet to the head.
Her is what he said in an interview about that picture.
Two people died in that photograph: the recipient of the bullet and General Nguyen Ngoc Loan. The general killed the Viet Cong; I killed the general with my camera. Still photographs are the most powerful weapons in the world. People believe them; but photographs do lie, even without manipulation. They are only half-truths. … What the photograph didn’t say was, “What would you do if you were the general at that time and place on that hot day, and you caught the so-called bad guy after he blew away one, two or three American people?”…. This picture really messed up his life. He never blamed me. He told me if I hadn’t taken the picture, someone else would have, but I’ve felt bad for him and his family for a long time. … I sent flowers when I heard that he had died and wrote, “I’m sorry. There are tears in my eyes.”[14]
In truth he was not a likeable guy and in contrast to Don seemed pleased with his celebrity status.
Also it has been said that many other photographers who were present put their camera’s down and refused to partake in the photographing of a mans death.

Be interesting to see who leads the line?
I said the other day i would prefer Sinclair to be given that role as he is good at bringing others into play.
That would allow Johnston and Forrest to use their skill and pace to come inside and supplement the attack.
Also like to see Nt’cham and McGregor revert to roles they played in 6-0 trouncing of St Johnstone.

Good morning from a grey damp eastern seaboard.
Java Script off. Let the battle commence.
Not sure how Sinclair is an almost automatic pick. Hope he is leading the line today. He really needs a confident boost, maybe today.
It’s pouring rain at Paradise.
Wow, the crowd has doubled in size over the last 5 minutes.
