Each employment has its own risk. We cannot and should not ban everything.

Were footballers more at risk than miners for example.?

    What about delivery drivers ?

  2. Apologies about the negative posts.

Really pi@sed off and frustrated with the Celtic situation.

ZIGGYDOC1- the excellent Jack Charlton documentary last week also showed the effects of heading a ball, specially older heavier ones,

If anybody thinks we will ever see a Labour Government while announcing we want nothing to do with the views and votes of Catholics, Muslims or black evangelicals then good luck to them.

    Fair enough comment.

But as you say the abuse he and other Players get on here is shocking. I’ve been on this blog for so many years, under different name and server changes, maybe even near the start and if i remember correctly there was a time it was a mortal sin to berate/slag any Celtic player with such vitriol (with the exception of Judas ha ha !) on here or on the terracing.

    It was viewed as Hunnish.

I’m sure all of us would have give our eye teeth to have run out of the tunnel to play for Celtic (even if we were seen as crap). Whenever i see a Celtic player from the past in public (with the exception of Judas ha ha !) i still view it as an honour, like i did when i was a wee bhoy, to meet them.

No Stock Exchange announcement re: Howe.

I think he’s playing hardball about wanting Hughes as his Director of Football.

    Celtic want Harkin.

Do we want Harkin more than we want Howe?

Is this a potential deal breaker?

  7. timmy7_noted on

So no announcement on Howe. My 6/700 will remain firmly in my bank account until we have reasons to believe that the board will make changes this time.

Maybe the board think we are all deliriously happy with our back of the bus stance.

    Very good point

We wanted A DOF as we didn’t CEO interfering with football matters

But with that elephant in room leaving and new CEO coming in, do we need one ?? As long as football manger has top class staff members , then maybe we don’t ??

If any club can blow the appointment of a new management team, who’d be surprised if it was us, very much like the Scotland national team at football, if there’s a way to balls it up, we’re world champs.

Never met him though been the “victim” of his sharp tongue, but I hope Philbhoy got a fry up on his celebratory day

There is a cycling team in the Algarve, I think they are based in Faro, who wear hoops based racing shirts could have been one of them. I was tempted to get one last summer but my ample figure would not look good in a proper cycling top regardless of the colour :-)

  14. !!Bada Bing!! on

If the issue is Hughes or Harkin, for the sake of one guy’s salary, get them both in,a drop in the ocean compared to the money we’ve spunked in the last 10 years, I think Hughes is a recruitment guy, fine,Harkin a DoF possibly, is a bigger brief IMO squad management, Lennoxtown etc.

  15. I expect Griffiths will be fit before we sign a new manager.

    It’s gonny take that long.

  16. GO TELL THE SPARTIM

    I did indeed!

Sorry if I’ve upset you in the past!

Late 50’s for me no longer a cycling shirt body particularly since lockdown, but do enjoy a run whenever the weather allows. Enjoyed a nice run over the fenwick moor at the weekend.

A guy passed me on an electric bike going up fenwick road, it was incredible how fast the thing was going up hill, I was impressed but not ready to give up on the legs just yet.

Squire, thanks for the kind (i think) words. :-)

  22. Phil bhoy. Rather have a 20% fit griffs to 200% fit Kilmala or 200% fit ajeti every day

Big John was rarely 80%+ fit but he knew his way to goals. Griffs could have started virtually every game this season and would have scored 20+ goals. Was just poor management

  23. If Eddie Howe is coming in June I’ll just hang on to my season ticket money until June. Wouldn’t like to think that I’d paid my money in April or May to find that there’s a last minute glitch and we wake up to find that John Kennedy or Roy Keane is our new manager. Delays like this can only happen at Celtic. We can’t get anything resolved smoothly.

Is the Pat Bonner the blog is talking about, Patrick Joseph Bonner the Irish football goalkeeper and devout catholic who spent his entire career at Celtic. Earned a total of 80 caps for the Republic of Ireland national football team. Who like most is a thoroughly decent human being who doesn’t give a flying f**k what religion you are, or what football team you support as long as you are a decent human being!

    ……………………

Ive had to work alongside many Huns in my life, just like Packy Bonner has been doing on TV and Radio for a few years now…That doesnt mean that I also have to ” Socialise” with them in Pubs etc !

How many of us view Steven Thompson…EBT CHEAT and Hun as a ” Decent Human Being” ?

ive seen Bonner with my own eyes drinking and laughing for HOURS with EBT Thompson and the others I have mentioned in my local Pub…..It take it that Bonner doesnt have many Celtic minded mates…IF ANY ?

  25. I was in the Supermarket this morning and glanced at the back page headlines.

The Sun said Eddie would not be coming until June and The Record had Harry Redmond saying that Eddie Howe would be just right for Celtic.

I only mention this so that CQNers are aware of the `sources` of these comments.

  26. Its funny how things pan out, eh……?

Has the Club actually said anythin’ fishal re the boul’ Eddie?

What we know is we have a vacancy to be filled and that it will take place sometime before the start of the new season.

All else is conjecture – some of it better informed than others.

Much to the frustration of scoddland’s finest – we’ve been able to do the majority of business behind closed doors……….

The MSM seem to be setting the pace in terms of timings and getting ready to roll ooooot the hunned-up cliches around “dithering, slow, protracted” etc etc……………..

While I definitely want the new mob in place in time, it’s the meeja who are running the agenda here.

  27. Griffiths will never be fit enough to play for us again.

    Complete unprofessional.

    Move him on asap

I agree with your general sentiment but feel that the MSSM no longer need to RUN the agenda. They just need to start it and many Celtic fans will do the rest.
