  1. Now how good was that?

Straight in from the game to a piping hot bowl of homemade chicken broth. Brilliant!

The game was also brilliant. Played with pace, movement off the ball, slick passing, excellent decision making, precision, intensity and desire. We were awesome.

Again Bitton and Rogic rocked. GMS, swift and direct, was the player we saw last January. Maybe this is his time. Izzy trying to regain his place in a faultless back four. Efe and Jozo again dominant and Armstrong and Griff’s movement superb. Calum Macgregor is a man reborn, confident and assured, rightfully M.O.M.

Griff hat trick almost incidental such was our display, we would surely have scored as many even without him. Not that you’d want to be without him. Good for him to get a weerest in the second half.

Wee Jamsie looked like he’s realised he needs to produce to get a starting place and OMG, do we have a player in Scott Allan. This boy can see and play a pass. He is seriously good. Really looking forward to seeing him get some start time. Needs to work on his heading though.

Not a night for anything but positives but I do hope we acquire a back up front man.

  2. I don’t know how much truth is in this rumour… but apparently Ronny Deila’s team talk tonight was this….

“Right you shower. .. performances at home have been brutal recently… and Tony Donnelly is back on the ole CQN… git your finger oot or ye’ll be sent tae the brazen eftir the geme to hear his wrath, help him make up the banners for the GB and you’ll be carrying his smoke bombs and carry oot on the team bus to the next away geme”

Don’t shoot the messenger!! Just telling you all what I heard.

    Welcome back TD67

    Superb tonight Celtic. Superb.

Pass marks to all. Hail Hail

  3. The biggest difference between tonight and the last few home performances was the quick tempo we played at. No Commons to slow us down, no Johansen to misplace pass and lose possession.

Hamilton are poor and totally lacking confidence, the play off beckons for them thanks to the fact DU are even worse than them

does anyone know how LYMMBHOY is.

i heard he crashed on safari

    or something like that

    Aye, he collided with KevJungle.

  5. WC-following on from Friday, high tempo, pace, and for me most importantly movement. Truly baffling compared to a couple of weeks back. Everyone moving, everyone wanting the ball, helping team mates all over the pitch. Great entertainment, hope it brings out a few more on Saturday

  6. What is the Stars on

Burnley, I am glad you are happy.

As we all are. Didn’t see the game tonight but last Fridays win against Dundee United was very entertaining,

Times have changed. Rangers are dead and no other team in Scotland can compete with celtic so they start off at odds of 1 / 40 and such like to win the league, .

The champions league was an open door waiting for us for the last 2 seasons and ronny blew it blew it big time.

The money and prestige that goes with that competition is something we badly need ( well the money anyway)

So everything is changed, changed utterly, it’s not the 60s anymore and we aren’t in Kansas any more.

The money in modern professional football is truly obscene, next year the EPL becomes even more bloated with riches, soon their clubs will turn their nose up at the champions league.

Where will it all end and what does it have to do with ronny. I don’t know.

But we can stuff Hamilton, yahoo

  7. Is Ronnie going to be a second half of the season Manager? last season at the same time we kicked on like this. Alan got to get a game ahead of GMS and KC, wee man looked mega tonight.

    KLV

  8. G67-just said same ,I can see Canning possibly getting bagged,DU are away 11th place is looking like relegation IMO,as it stands,Sevco,Falkirk or Hibs would beat Hamilton/Killie/Thistle in a Play Off

  9. A most enjoyable evening.

Good goals ,good energy with some explicit passing and movement.

    Only one question.

How do you become a school teacher and / or a European top grade official when counting to ten is a problem ?

    Bewildered CSC.

    What is the Stars

It is a good bet that RD will Be sacked some point.

*sitting in the pineapple on Sunday and my mind started to wander, not uncommon when you’ve been attending for 65+ years.

I got too thinking about Friday night’s game, Ronny signing a Scandinavian defender and potentially more players from that region, Stokesy being unloaded and probably others.

I thought this might be like Mogga who went on a January spending spree and yet was gone before the clocks sprung forward. Or Ronny was finally bringing in his own players.

Thought about how he came here, originally it was alleged as assistant to Lenny with a view of bringing on the youth.

That didn’t pan out as wee Neil left, he has since stated he wanted his family out of the Glasgow fish bowl but it might have been a combination of that and no longer being in control of his own affairs.

Imagine having staff thrust on you. Well his successor did as did WTT and the oul Doctor, didnae do them any harm.

His stock it seemed in his mind was high so we were left in the lurch and scrambling for a manager, step forward Ronny.

I feel that we are now on the cusp of another change with Ronny probably being elevated to Director of Football with complete control of the football side of the club and possibly Michael O’Neil coming in.

Just a thought and then we stood for the Creed.

  12. Margaret McGill on

As it has been since Seville and more so since 2009

The Celtic squad will be obliterated for money

    (EPL fodder)

The Celtic coaching staff will come and go on the cheap

Ronny is an in situ sacrificial lamb

In 5 years or less Lawwell will be the next DD sacrificial lamb after establishing his family as millionaires on the back of Celtic for a few generations

and maybe DD will get his hobby into the Irish dream of England, however, methinks more likely something else.

    All hail the Old Firm

    thanks Dermott!.

  13. WITS.

When looking for justifiable culprits regarding our European exists , then cast an eye toward the boardroom. The PLC takes priority over the FC.

I hope the early signing of our new central defender is a step in the right direction.

    Debate for another night though.

    Let’s enjoy tonight.HH

  14. CultsBhoy can not relate to Celtic Board ambitions on or off the park on

The grateful Eight – sounds a Tarintino like slaughtering tonight.

  15. BBC website describe Celtic’s performance tonight as ‘sharp and relentless…some of the football was pretty smart.’

Fair enough – no real attempt to put it all down to a poor Hamilton.

  16. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Saltires , we have scored 8 v Hamilton for third time in the last thirty years as has been posted by other posters. I think we beat Falkirk 8 2 in a League Cup game about nine years ago, Ross Wallace scored a hat trick , with basically a second choice team that night.

I have seen us score nine twice, against Arbroath at Gayfield in 1994 and against the Dons about five years ago. Unfortunately, Danny was Arbroath manager when we beat them

I would love us to score ten in a game.

It was a really good night for us . Callum looked liked he placed the ball in the corner. He had a very good game tonight and it was pleasing to see him not hesitate to shoot with his right foot.

Ps Saltires, I hope the picture of your gran and grandad at my parents’ wedding is clear enough to see them.

The funniest part of tonight was the crowd counting out ten yards for Collum.

  17. Diese werden reallly ein 8-1.

In other words did we really win 8-1

Why are we discussing Ronny’s position.

Hail Hail to our team, our manager and our supporters, especially those who made the effort to attend.

SFA and SPFL have discussed bringing in facial recognition software to detect bad boys at fitba and have asked the government for millions to introduce it.

I suspect they have been conducting secret trials by adding this software to the match balls in use at CP given the number of times they hone in on Hamilton Tim’s face.

Before I hit the 4poster , I think Callum McGregor deserves proper credit for persevering while being played out of position for so long . During which time , even when not playing well ,he has still contributed with a few goals.

The boy might not be the complete midfielder but the positives far outweigh the negatives.

    Sleep well fholks.HH

EFE = WOOOOOFFFFFFFF ……GREAT GAME, BIG MHAN

  28. thomthethim for Oscar OK on

Almost flawless performance, with no below standard performances.

I thought the team did very well in maintaining their momentum, considering the contest was over after the first ten minutes or so.

Maybe it is something in the January air and the anticipated arrival of fresh talent which helps focus the minds of the incumbents.

Whatever it was, the passing and movement tonight was a joy to watch.

With the make up of our squad, we should be able to keep up the pace for ninety minutes, if we use our subs wisely.

With the addition of Allan and Christie to the midfield, we have two attacking creative players who can give their all, then be subbed by the other.

I expect fewer empty seats on Saturday, as that is the stuff that puts bottoms on chairs.

    Well done, Celts.
