Erin go brach is a Belfast CSC and the biggest in Ireland. I see elsewhere they are considering a boycott. The support from Donegal has fallen away over the years , with Belfast and Derry now the largest.
Jimmibhoy you touch on a key point about Celtic. Lawwell runs it from top to bottom including controlling every signing that is made. He controls the purse strings and decides on the level of investment. When John Reid was Chairman he was a buffer to Lawwells financial approach and pushed through the spending one january transfer window to secure 3 in a row for Strachan and Celtic.
Lawwell risked CL qualification by not signing replacements for the best players he knew would be sold. Pukki when he did come was a Lawwell signing – there was no pushing the boat out for Fingobasson ; Lawwell killed that deal by offering £2M below the asking price.
Lawwell has taken a decision to sanitise the clubs support. It is turning many of the fans against the PLC. It will have commercial income consequences and a very significant impact on season ticket sales next season.
Alienating the Irish cscs and the many close contacts in Scotland will cost Celtic 10k season tickets.
The manager is a Lawwell puppet and has taken Celtic as far as he can or will be allowed.
The weakness in Lawwells power at Celtic is that it’s one mans vision and it’s not the inclusive Celtic way.
Sadly Lawwell is slowing killing our club even tho it’s not his intention.
Next season will be pay at the gate.

Feel absolutely dejected tonight, disgusted and dismayed at where we are as a club.
My day started off poorly with the trek up from the bus park at the velodrome with my boy in tow his first game back in about 18 months he is only 11 and went for 2 seasons then decided he didn’t fancy it which is fair enough; when I take him it keeps me off the drink!
We got absolutely soaked, drenched in the time it took to walk up to the ground, there were 3 adults with 4 kids and our intention was to go into the Kerrydale lounge out of the weather, we arrived there at around 1335. There was a que of about 30 – 40 supporters waiting to get entry as it was full already. The ground wasn’t opened yet and we were all standing out in the mercy of the elements, it was 1 out 1 in.
Now with no available facilities queing frozen, soaked and miserable we inched up the que until around 1355 when there were around 60 – 70 fans now waiting to be told the lounge was now shut and nobody else would gain entry today!! Unbelievable………..
At least the ground opened at 1400, by this time we were soaked through. What business in the world leaves between 70 – 80 customers standing in conditions you wouldn’t leave a dog in, who are all waiting to spend money on your product services, absolute and utter madness, especially on days when the weather was so bad?
Right fair enough we said tried to dry off a bit get some hot drinks and food for the kids, 3 pies 3 Large juices, a burger and a Bovril – £19 ish, £19 bloody quid!!
I sit in section 123 the game starts and a group of around 6 young guys are half way down the front tier standing trying to start songs, all Celtic songs not one rebel song and no add on’s, doing absolutely nothing illegal or causing any hassle. I turned to the guy i sit next to and said i will give you 5 minutes before the stewards move in.
Sure as fate, 2 stewards move in to have a quick chat and tell one bhoy to keep the aisle clear, the bhoy complies and they go back to singing. They young guys must have decided they would be better up the back of section 123 where they can stand and not cause any hassle for other fans.
They move up there and again i turn to my mate and say i will give them 10 minutes this time, before the thought police will be up there!
Sure as fate they go up team handed and hassle them again, this time section 123 is getting a bit tasty with the general supporters now getting angry at the harassment of these bhoys for doing nothing more than singing, even my lad asked dad why are they lads getting bothered, will we get bothered if we stand up and sing?
Next minute 2 of the Focus unit i think but 2 of Police Scotlands finest move into the very corner section of 123 where it meets the south stand and starts to film them for the rest of the game, why? What for? Supporting your team is not a crime!
Is this our club, is this what we want Celtic to be, is this the club we want to hand to our sons and daughters?

All very depressing and I said long time ago; that the carry on with the bigots from the South-side have hurt us more than them. They’re crowds great and ours poor and going down fast. They have galvanised (because remember they’re crowds were mince before their trouble) and the Tic fans are leaving in droves, disgusted with all that is/has gone on. As I said all very depressing.
I reckon the board think they are running a city centre club: no-one under 21 welcome and no colours. According to reports the youths were standing and singing…wait for it…Celtic songs! Green and white will be a no go soon.
No damage to seats today and no smoke bombs yet youngsters are ejected and the video unit are busy sticking a camera in their face. Too many good ghuys are feeling the disconnect now between the board and the fans and are voting with their feet.

As for the stewards- what was that all about? The bhoys singing were right up the back in the South West corner. They were just having a sing song, all perfectly acceptable songs. Yes they may have had a beer before the game for all I know, but what’s wrong with that, we’ve all done it. Thought it was a total over-reaction from the stewards.
