Yes, he was a star back in those days. Different world then. I think he stayed in Cork – he used to work in a shoe shop on Patrick street (Pana!!) He takes a corner in this at 30 secs
Disagree with you mate. I spoke to you before yesterday’s game, you know my reservations about Ronny and some of the players. However, once inside the stadium you should support the team.
Mind now when the zombies make their first appearance in our league… as jjs commented ,their five stars means..one star represents each year of their birth…don’t let the bassas forget it. HH
Seems RD is getting quite bullish, saying he is here to stay. Well, he is in the minority with that view. My feelings on RD are quite clear. I want him to be a success but I don’t think he has the overall gumption. But….he will return to haunt us. One of his teams will skelp us in Europe in the very near future.
Off course I would rather he was dishing out skelpings with us.
The empty stadium speaks volumes. Those who are going are finding it utterly tedious to watch apart from 20 mins yesterday .
Inverness out played and passed us until we scored yesterday. They missed two sitters. Love that we are 6 clear (really 7) but we need to be as past experience tells us that we are a brain fart away from dropping points.
If our board believe that the SB holders will pay increases or the same price to watch what we are watching just now then they are gravely mistaken. Rumours of major changes in the summer but maybe not what we are expecting if what RD and others connected are saying, which could drastically back fire.
The strategy has run it’s course.
Saint Stivs says SACK THE BOARD on
right offski, last words to Jimmy D, brilliant comments , he also should have some cabinet in the number 7 restraunt.
The Referendum is smack in the middle of the Euro Championship…
What could better boost the national ‘feel-good’ factor…..
Than England getting to the Final….
On the back of some outrageous refereeing decisions…..
Then thrashing a workman-like Irish team…
After Aiden McGeady had been sent off for ‘Looking Cheeky’…..
And MO’N sent to the stand…..
Because his glasses steamed-up…
I wouldn’t put it past the EuroMarxists to arrange such an outcome.
Have Messers Thomson and Collum…
Made any holiday plans….?

Evening bloggers of the Celtic diaspora,
Just a few comments about yesterday.
Once Boyata can control his nerves he will become a decent signing. I hope that he gets encouragement from Sviatchentko and our own support. ES has got something about him also.
Paddy Roberts looked confident – and remember he was watching some hammer-throwing – before he came on. Hope he becomes gallus! His blocked shot really annoyed him (and me – Ed) but he got on with it.
Christie and Scott A had great movement. The Griff can feed off these two as Leigh is adding football intelligence to his game. Yes, he is going to be greedy, but can you blame him? Lol
Finally, Ronnie D gave these bhoys their chance and they have shown they might just take it.
OK, def finally. MIB was shocking…again, and was ably unassisted by his assistants.
This must affect you as a player and can lead to anger/frustration….cards. This is another reason it is hard to make it in the Hoops.
Looking forward to the abridged version of the game tonight on BBC.
I think Johansen can be quite arrogant at times, not in a good way. He shows a lack of respect for the opposition. I’ve spoken to other Celtic fans who have said the same. I just don’t rate him, he is a major problem in Europe and will be again. Even last season people went on about him, I just didn’t see it.

Agree with everything you said there. 3 big questions for me…
Will Ronny lead is to the Champions League? I think no.
If he flukes it there, will be be humiliated? I think yes.
The elephant in the room. When Sevco come into the fold, does he have what it takes to stand against them? Would you trust him at Ibrox with Johansen, Armstrong, GMS etc standing in the face of that lot. I wouldn’t.

A few posts commending ICT yesterday, I agree they played some nice football and should have been ahead at half time. Of course that is acceptable.
What does concern me is how much of a shambles we were. To leave KT and Sviatchenko totally exposed in defence 1v1 given similar historic problems we have had in the past is unforgivable. The lack of organisation and discipline is a nonsense and cannot continue. Any team we come against that is well organised and has a potent threat in attack will defeat Celtic.
