I would like to mention something I learned in Ireland in 2010. While on holiday in Dingle we took a trip to Cahersiveen. Nice day trip. At one point ended up in a church where I learned about the Scarlet Pimpernel of the Vatican
I’ve read them all, not through choice – mind numbing tripe, each and every one of them.
Tell me this, how many adults, actually buy and read that diatribe?
None – that’s how many.

I’m watching Spurs getting beat by Crystal Palace in the FA cup. I know the score.
However it raises a couple of questions.
How can a team with the money Spurs have and the talent in their club, be beaten by a team of overpaid journey men which is 20 points and a ton of goals behind them?
And
Is Joe Ledley’s beard harbouring the Lost Ninth Roman Legion?

Good morning friends. Despite the clear skies overhead it’s an above freezing start to the working week in EK, wee bit breezy and damp underfoot. And only 4 more lseeps till we get the chance to go 9 points clear at the top. Which is nice.

Kinda thought that was gonna be the outcome on Forrest, when the club could’nt get in touch with his ‘agent’.
Wont be a great loss imho only thing that worries me is would we get a decent fee for him from anyone?

Forrest has talent, no question about it.
He dragged us up by the bootlaces at Kilmarnock when we were 0-3 down and was as much a part of our recovery as anyone else that day.
Did something similar in a league cup tie at Easter rd a week or later. We were toiling 0-1 at half time and he ran amok in the 2nd half as we won 4-1. I’d been moaning about him to my mates at half time. What do I know? :)
His contribution in Europe could be great too, at home to Karagandy , away to spartak and udinese come to mind.
But he was too inconsistent and seemed incapable of providing reliable fitness.
So maybe it was fair enough to offer him a reduced contract on that basis. Equally it’s fair enough for him to reject us – who among us would agree to stay in the same job for less money even if we had gone through a bad patch?
Let’s hope the money saved on his wages isn’t flushed down the drain on Carlton cole / Colin kazim Richards types. That wouldn’t be good at all.
