CELTIC v KILMARNOCK: 5-MINUTE QUIZ

0

KYOGO FURUHASHI was developing an encouraging trend at the start of the season by scoring the barrier-breaking goal in four successive games as Celtic kicked off the crusade for a second successive title.

The Japanese striker, the previous season’s top scorer with 20 strikes, fired blanks as the Premiership campaign got underway on July 31 when Stephen Welsh and Filipe Jota were the marksmen in a 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Parkhead.

However, the following week in Dingwall, Kyogo got the ball rolling with the breakthrough effort in the 3-1 victory over Ross County.

Next up, the fleet-footed forward fired in No.1 in the 5-0 rout over today’s opponents Kilmarnock at Rugby Park and that was followed by the first in the 2-0 success over Hearts in the east end of Glasgow seven days later.

Kyogo then surpassed himself with the opener while claiming a first-half hat-trick in the 9-0 landslide triumph over demoralised Dundee United at Tannadice.

The fans’ favourite is hoping to emulate those feats against Derek McInnes’ Ayrshire outfit in Paradise this afternoon as the champions aim to go TWELVE points clear at the top of the league.
