    ——————————–

Naw – he scored 3 goals in 30 mins. Commons got the other one.

  4. Griffiths is a genuine striker, he hasn’t had a brilliant season but he is the best we have.

He must start in the Cup semi.

We played really well once we fell behind but for a long time it felt it could have been “one of those nights”. Thank God we found our mojo & roll on the Calley game. Right place to win the Title would be The Sheep Pen.

  6. TBJ says Wee Oscar Knox is in heaven with the angels on

Overall a great night at Celtic park

Starting off with my wee food bank donation in a giant pile of other supporters groceries

Then a good catch up with a few cqnrs at the Corner as well as 1DBT & TOHG .

Then after almost an hour of trying to break down an 11 man defence we eventually ripped them apart and also got a great save from big CG as well as Leigh griffiths hat trick

I have a feeling we will win the league at Celtic park on the Friday night against Dundee

  7. Think i need to get myself to the docs 1st thing tomorrow because The Griff looked over towards me tonight as he punched the air.

Sorry Jude – was a poor attempt at a joke with a Beatles reference – “Obadey, Oblada life goes on…” etc…

  9. Griffiths fantastic tonight ,well done son ,a must start on Sunday.

Wee Jamesie’s touch in 1st half was awful.

Must say the foodbank collection both gladdens and saddens your heart, well

done to all who helped collect and donated.HH

Think griff not been great because he’s in n out the team.

IMO if he played regular you would get more out of him.HH.

  11. World peace, 6 games left. 11 points required.

If we win our next 2 games and the sheep drop any points then we can clinch it at home v Dundee on Friday May 1st.

If we win both games and so do the sheep then it will be at Pittodrie the following week assuming they win on Sat 2nd May.

The anti climax is we both win the next 2 games, we beat Dundee on the Friday and they fail to win on the Saturday, league won without a game.

Think the manager played it smart, where would we be Sunday if he got crocked up in Inverness or tonight??

    Smart Bhoy Our Ronny:))

  13. If Aberdeen win their last 5 games(which iznae gonnae happen),it means we need 8 points.2 wins,2 draws and a defeat to Aberdeen is good enough..I reckon a draw at Pittodrie will clinch it..

thanks for posting that pic. Quite humbling to see how much goodness there is among the Celtic family.

Rally driving and food parcel delivering from ole EuroChamps67 but home to the Southside, before the floodlights are even dimmed.

Regular SPL fare, against a Kilmarnock side that had only one thought in mind which was to try and stop Celtic from scoring, until ironically they netted a freak goal which flicked off Jason Denayer, and completely wrong footed Craig Gordon with their only shot on target.

Celtic started brightly but quickly lost their way when the early goal didn’t materialise. Kris Commons was feeling his way in, on a proper surface again, by which time the first half was over, with only a VVD header just wide, as the only real chance. James Forrest looked uncomfortable again, playing wide left and was soon replaced by RD, with the introduction of Leigh Griffiths which changed the game.

Scott Brown popped up in the box with a surprise ‘toe poke’ into the roof of the net to bring the score level, and with Commons now firing on all cylinders he shimmied past his man to set up, and scoop a perfect cross for Leigh Griffiths to put the boys ahead. Minutes later he rattled a superb left foot strike into the corner off the post for a goal of the season contender.

We don’t normally have two strikers as a rule of ‘thumb’ but I’m still not convinced John Guidetti fits that description, as he must be the most shy striker we’ve had for years. He dropped in behind LG who had already stolen the show from the bench, and wrapped up the scoring with another fine strike in off the same post.

Even with all subs used introducing GMS and SA the Celtic system didn’t change with VVD and Denayer at the back, Matthews and Izzy attacking along with the rest. Despite two players being cup tied RD has happy team selections options for Sunday, where ICT will give a much better account, than Kilmarnock

    M.O.M. Leigh Griffiths

  16. Hee hee Jackie Bird on bbc news informs the nation that the bhoys are 8 points clear, but total silence on the servo result…..:)

Matthews hit a cross from the right, Broony won the loose ball, for Commons to batter it into the net.

All the goals are 1 or 2 pages back.
