  1. !!BADA BING!!

Yeah tried and tested Bada, I think Gamboa is faster than Mikel but still , He looks a bit raw still. Take a while to get used to his team mates, Bitton, Broony and Tom maybe Armstrong to tackle and track.

  2. Family round today so didn’t see as much of the Dandies-Sevco as I would’ve liked.

However, what I did see confirmed what a poor, poor manager Warbiola is. Seriously, if Ronny had been getting results like this, playing the same naive way and then making a complete a&&& of himself in his interviews… -seriously, can you imagine the ridicule he’d be getting?

Mark Warburton is a rookie manager. 2 seasons at Brentford, then one in the lower leagues here. That’s it. Never won anything. Never managed at the top level in any country till August this year.

He is being fond out big time now and I think – from reading some Sevconian sites – that their fans are beginning to see right through him. Anyone that spends (allegedly) over a million quid on Joe Garner (the poor man’s Nacho Novo), will not last long in a cut-throat environment.

My prediction: he will be mutually consented before Christmas, and Big Eck will be parachuted in (how interesting Sky Sports booked him for analysis today…)

King will have Trainer on overtime keeping the Stenographers from asking any questions of him: all the fire will be directed at Warburton.

  3. Hunderbirds are Gone on

Barcelona, Juventus, Manchester United, AC Milan.

All hot favourites in recent memory* to win at Celtic Park……….. But didnae.

    City? 9-1 eh?

    :-)

  4. Gary67

I’d like Eric in front of the other two. I honestly can’t see it though. I think our starting 11 on Wednesday will be the same as yesterday.

  5. Yesterday was a great day at Paradise, despite the weather. Fine football, lots of goals and the Celtic support giving generously to the Kano Foundation. The Green Brigade were excellent too.

Graham Spiers was mentioned earlier. I’ve heard his name referenced here on many occasions. He passed by myself and Delaneys Dunkey as we collected at one of the car parks near the Jock Stein stand. I hadn’t a clue who he was but he asked us what we were collecting for, and when we explained, he seemed genuinely interested by asking more questions. He didn’t hesitate in contributing either. Some Killlie fans who passed us by also contributed.

Not sure if it has been mentioned yet how much was raised but well done to JP, Brian and everyone else in the Foundation for the great work that they do.

  6. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bobby, good , or should it be bad, list of the worst tackles.

BBC 2 used to have a football fanzine show about 20 years ago. hosted by soap actor, Simon O’Brien . They used to have a horrendous tackle part of the show. The only one they showed for a few weeks was the Souness ‘tackle’ on the Bucharest player in a European cup game.

Craig Moore’s tackle on Henrik , when we beat them 2 nil at Ibrox in 2001 and Bougherra’s studs down Gary Hooper’s achilles in the so called shame game , should be in there also.

When Moore went right through Henrik. we got a shy.

  7. !!BADA BING!!

    GERRYFAETHEBRIG

Brendan tried something out against Barca, But hopefully he uses what we know on Wednesday, Also Simo is in the backline now, Very assured and calming. He out jumped Lustig for a header yesterday as the big man was waiting on the ball to bounce, Simo never missed him for hesitating, Lustig doen it second half as well and he let him know. Simo is a winner and I like that. Erik will come good as well for the games we rest Toure, But Toure has to play against City purely for his experience.

For the first time ever the Celtic board will be supporting a proposed resolution from the Celtic Trust. If you’re a shareholder please take the time and trouble to complete the form.

    http://www.celtictrust.net/index.php?func=d_home_article&id=532

    ========

I would encourage EVERY Celtic shareholding supporter no matter their personal view of the CST to back this resolution.

Had something like the proposed mechanism been in place in 2013 then Res12 either may not have been needed or would have progressed much more quickly with none of the angst and divisiveness that accompanied it.

I like to think the club have learned from past mistakes and finally recognise the vast amount of talent and experience that exists across the support and are ready to tap into it.

Free kick all day, Deflection tactics. Defeat and they need something to blame.

Indeed but the Hullabaloo from the pundit’s and their analysis and the wailing Warbo need to be called out.

This is beyond clutching at straws – it’s now meltdown.

The media who built them up cannot accept the evidence of their own eyes and are doubling down. It’s unsurprising but it still requires highlighting and mockery.

  11. BOBBY MURDOCH'S CURLED-UP WINKLEPICKERS on

    DALLASDALLAS

Moore regularly got half-a-dozen freebies on Henrik. Roughly the same number Buggerall got on Robbie.

Quite a few others over the years too.

  12. I listen to the radio a lot, even listened to Graham Speirs golf programme on a Sunday morning back in the day, I like Speirs, quite like the fact he said he was brought up a Rangers fan, no problem with that, although during the Dodgy Dave the firsts reign I think Graham followed the rest of the lamb munchers….but he does call it now as he sees it, sad stuff, that people are scared too just tell the truth…..anyway, in my opinion Speirs is as near as a journalist we will see up here, sure one of guys writing for the DR just now Scott somebody wore his Rangers shell suit daily to Uni, obviously being a journalist you didn’t have to pass many exams :-)

  13. Lennybhoy,

Arriving Tuesday evening, so could be available on Wed lunchtime, provided other engagements are not organised. I shall call you Wed. it would be good to catch up.

    Parkheadcumsalford,

Hope you enjoy the celebrations in Borneo and meet old friends. KTF

  14. KLV: I know little about him but when DD told me who he was I was impressed. Most fans contributed and others made their excuses. In two and a half hours of collecting in persistent rain he stopped for a few minutes and was genuinely interested in Martin Kane, the Foundation and the fact that young people benefit by attending Celtic matches as a result of the Foundation’s work.

  15. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry at 9.33, I was surprised when he told me he was an Everton fan despite him not growing up in Liverpool.

Wednesday night will be a tense time for us but I’m looking forward to the game.

We have had the chance to see some of the best players , Xavi ,Iniesta , Messi, Del Piero , Ronaldinho , over the past 15 years and now we will see Aguerro and Silva.

I hoe they remeber the occasion for our team’s performance first and foremost then for their experence of Celtic Park.

  16. GFTB

I saw your post earlier about Everton and Graeme Sharp , Villa were in for him at the same time he went there , Villa have been my 2nd team since 1970 when Tommy Docherty was manager in the old 3rd Division and i followed them when working in Brum late 70″s early 80’s and saw them win the Big Cup in Rotterdam in 82 , i was gutted to find out Andy Gray was a hun ! He was some player for the Villa !

  17. SNAKE PLISSKEN

I said earlier it was a clear foul as tackle was from behind which is outlawed.

The world class Tavs was caught often of wrongside and huns paid for it with two goals against.

  18. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Bobby , Moore and that Boughy character got away with murder and not only against us.

Do you remember Boughy put six studs in a goalie’s coupon, was sent off , the now defunct club apealed it and his susension lifted . A shocking but not unsurprising decision.

  19. VFR: Thanks for taking the time out to meet me in the nearest café to Celtic Park. I’ll be avoiding Wetherspoons from now on. Coias is a great café with a great menu and Tim friendly staff. Pity I couldn’t stay longer but would love to hear more about the project you told me about. I hope it comes to fruition sooner rather than later. My treat next time.

Did you know that you can avoid the queue by entering the way I came in? :-)

  20. Gordon

Gamboa Lustig Simo Toure Svia Tierney Izzy

    Henderson Brown Bitton Armstrong McGregor

    Roberts Forrest Sinclair

    Rogic

    Dembele Griff

That’s the team I hope Brendan picks for Weds night. It’s a 7-5-3-1-2 formation with Rogic playing in behind Griff and Dembele, and everybody else defending.Tom,Leigh and Moussa will be expected to defend also, from the front. ;)

  21. Park Road 67

Don’t listen to Bobby Mc, for my sins I also thought Andy Gray was a smashing forward, thankfully like most other half decent players when you side with evil your ability goes out the door

DavidRobertsonCSC…. He was a good left back until he chased the cash

SteohenWrightCSC … A decent right back and …..for the Aberdeen treble

TheoSneldersCSC that old club destroyed a few decent footballers, thank goodness they are no longer with us

    Joe Garner ?????

  22. Dallas Dallas where the heck is Dallas on

Gerry, James ‘Rockford Files’ Garner would have been a better payer than the sevco Garner

  23. Folks. A quick update . As some of you may have seen on twitter and Facebook, we raised over £8000 yesterday. That’s a figure we’re condiment of although it should be higher .

Thank you to everyone yesterday, both volunteers and donors. Without all of you The Kano Foundation couldn’t do what we’ve done. Here’s to 10000 kids and another 6years of “keeping football free for kids”.

    Hail Hail

    Sanna

  24. Brilliant JP though I think you’re right that it should be higher particularly with yesterday’s attendance.

  25. What is the Stars on

Is Almore still going on about bloody Cafes

Real celtic men drink whiskey in tough bars not coffee in sissy boys cafes

  26. Dallas

The Rockford Files for some reason reminds me of my dad passed in 1995, I think he liked it but ma mum thought it was a “lot of shoite” good memories

Sannabhoy the Kano foundation is Celtic for me, like the GB’s food bank collection our club should be promoting these great causes, although I quite like the fact there is no publicity and normal Celtic fans are doing what normal Celtic fans do

  27. WELL IF YOU WANNA GO, K.A.N.O ., HAIL HAIL , RAIN , SLEET OR SNOW on 25TH SEPTEMBER 2016 10:25 PM

  28. WITS: Hope you had as good a day as I did yesterday, Enjoyed your company and great to get to know a fellow Jackeen. Flights booked for 23rd October. Ryanair over, Aer Lingus back, both Glasgow

I don’t know if many people on here visit Calton Books in the Gallowgate but I always pop in if I get a chance. They have some fabulous badges, scarves, t-shirts and books. Tim friendly as well.

Cheers to the CQN five a side teams for their company last night and a special thanks to HamiltonTIm for the gift he gave me at the stadium.

HT: I didn’t realise what it was until I got home but let’s just say that my face would have lit up a city and when I opened it up. Top Bhoy as always. Kilmarnock away has been moved to the Friday night so I need to think that one again.
