The vital area against City will be in front of our centre backs.
Not to confident That Bitton and Brown have the savvy to combat Silvas movement and game intelligence.
Staying goalside is vital in this area and if our mids don’t he will pull our out of position and create chances.
The Huns world class defender Tavs today twice got wrongside of his man and this resulted in two goals against.

In the 80s I was a big Everton fan, even after I found out Graeme Sharp was an oldco fan who attended Coatbrig High School, Kevin Sheedy was a hero of mine closely followed by Neville Southall, Kevin Ratcliffe & Derek Mountfield, as a kid 3 walls of my bedroom were decked out in Cektic stuff, tri-colour (from Lou Macari testimonal) and loads of other Celtic stuff, the other wall was totally Everton, all Shoot pull outs, I always maintained Everton was a Tim team as they had a chapel in their stadium :-)
(that was my get out) once Sir No Surname went there with Barry, Gazza and big Drunkin no longer did I have a team in Engurlund (plus I sort of grew up)

Before 2012, I enjoyed when Rangers lost in the normal, if more intense, way that many football supporters do when their biggest rivals fail. Now, my enjoyment when Sevco lose has as much to do with the anguish felt by the MSSM as they find it more difficult to convincingly continue with The Big Lie. Added to that is that every point dropped may well hasten the demise of the New Rangers as well.

What I’d do for a Nakamura free kick , and an Artur Boruc penalty save
6 am flight to Brussels then off to Hamburg, St Pauli are away tomorrow night which is a bummer as I believe my hotel is less than a mile from the ground…shame.
Anyway, in my absence , if anyone has a spare for Wednesday, let me know .

I totally believe in the same flies analogy but at 1-1 today I think it hit home, I wanted Vpberdeen to get the next goal but I actually didn’t care……. A few years ago I would have been going crazy
They are dead as their big signing Dodoo…… But totally agree the media are gutted and their audience they play too are unforgiving….. Good news stories for the tax evaders are in short supply, we live in good times
For the sake of balance, I spend a lot of time in Liverpool on business and find the Evertonians I meet, to be solid people.

Team for Wednesday? Hmmm, that`s a difficult one.
For me:
…………………….Gordon
Lustig Simunovic Toure Tierney
……………..Svietchenko
Forrest Brown Rogic Sinclair
…………….Dembele or Griffiths.
Just before his injury, I though the Griff had lost a little bit of spark but his performance from the Bench on Saturday looked excellent again.

What is it with Celtic and their excuses? I’ve been banging on about the fans ‘café for a while now and am being told we can’t get planning permission for it.
Yet, when I arrived up at the stadium yesterday, Bournesouprecipe rubs my nose in it with not one, but two Gazebos right where the café should be.
I cancelled my meeting with Peter in protest.

Agreement with Dorus, He seems to get caught off guard, Great hit yesterday but he was too far off his line and too slow to react once he eventually saw the ball. Brendan will have let him know, I have a fear that Brendan doesn’t like Craig and Dorus will keep getting more chances, At 4-1 he was growling at him for bad kick outs. I could be wrong.

In my opinion Everton are the good guys in Liverpool.
A good friend (sadly RIP) I went to games with in the 80’s, had been at uni in Liverpool. A crew of Toffees, he had befriended in his time there, would come up often to join us for games against the old Rangers, and some European games. A bigger, madder group of Tims you couldn’t meet.

Yes, or Jozo in front of Kolo and Erik. Bitton can’t defend, he’s a liability at CL level. None of our midfielders are natural defenders. We have a couple of centre halfs who can pass and are comfortable in possssion so let one of them play in front of the back four and try to stop Silva, Gudogan as they break forward. Also allows Brown to push on and close down further up the pitch, further relieving pressure on our defence.

Gerry, I had a soft spot for Everton too but mainly due to their lack of success against Liverpool in the seventies and early eighties . I’m sure Everton only beat them once in the league in about twenty odd games , Peter Latchford’s brother Bob, scored the winner against them around 1978/79.
One of our union reps grew up a big Everton fan but the complete opposite of that wee bigoted keich I had the misfortune to meet on holiday.

Kolo and Simo CB with Keiran and Lustig on Wed night, no silly formations of experiments. I think we might be able to get something against City. If we play like we can and don’t freeze who knows?
