James Forrest, is for me, a chicken heart.

You have clearly never encountered an angry chicken.

I thought a good few players stepped up to the challenge. Lay off Forrest – how can he regain confidence when he is being slagged off?
Sinclair to arrive by Wednesday, also hearing GMS to the Jambos in a deal for their RB Paterson.
Outs Bitton and Johannsen. Just what I hear.

To be a top player you need a strong heart and a strong mind for me Jamsie has neither.Toure may well be a good signing but he is not the greatest header of a ball for a Centre Back but he does read a game well.H.H.

Thought we were easily the better team in the first half. Some very good interchange between players, fast and one touch. Second half maybe even.
Maher would not have scored it Tierney had been playing. And despite the contortions the commentary team went into, it was nothing that our own Patrick Roberts hasn’t done a number of times. (Actually it was very good, but so is PR). And O’Connells was even better.
Player that impressed me most was SCOTT BROWN. Thought he was excellent.
Penalties. Lottery. But Forrest was the only player to look at the ground all the way from the centre line to the penalty spot. No confidence. But still a good save.
What we know is that we have good players all over the park. A good manager could make us into a right good team. And it’s shaping up that way.

I watched the tribute act beat East Stirling last night and in my opinion there is no way they can live with Celtic. H.H.

Would have been nice to win the penalties, but a draw with the EPL Champions ain’t too shabby.
Just arrived back to hotel in Lisbon from The Azores, and read Live Updates all at once. Funny way to take a game in that, but pleased to get to the end without leaking a late goal.
Also glad that big Efe avoided escape goat of the match. I still love the big man. Anyone who was at the Camp Nou, as I was in the 2-1 defeat a few years ago, knows how good a defender Efe really is, and we are going to need him midweek. It could have been 6-1 (as it was wi VVD, a year later) if it wasn’t for Efe that night, he was immense.

Izzy and Sadie are very similar on either side of the park, both fast and strong and never give up but can get get out at the back.
Like both guys, Armstrong quiet again today and Cifcti put a shift in when came on, The Griff lead the line well, Dembelle looks unsure at times.

Good evening friends from a completely female free south East Kilbride.
Whilst watching the game my mind drifted to next week’s CQN Open and I realised that Izzy’s short game is even worse than mine!
I am glad it was mentioned that James Forrest was tremendous on Wednesday night. If our manager can help him rediscover some confidence, we have a player. (By the bye, good to see the other scapegoat, Efe, having a fine match!)

Brown was great today again, Great drive and purpose.
Joe Filippis Haircut (8.28pm), I totally agree. But they don’t have to live with Celtic, they only have to persuade all the other SPL teams that they are superior to them, and to make that psychological skulduggery pay off.
If the tribute act beat all the other SPL teams home and away and Celtic have a couple of shock defeats (after Euro matches), as we often do, it could indeed come down to the head-to-head v them, with them starting that match up with a 6+ point advantage.
Thankfully I don’t see Aberdeen or Hearts being cowed by them, although my faith in the likes of Motherwell, Kilmarnock, ICT, etc. is a little less solid!
Toure….experience. A risk but better than going with what we have.
Also..good communicator

I think right back is our weak spot (even though I like Lustig when fit, think he is better in the middle) sitting here ala Charlie Nic the gunner, wonder if young KT could do a Jackie McNamara with Izzy slotting back in on the left………
Haven’t saw much of the Callum Patterson guy but not sure if a centre forward turned full back in the lower leagues is better than we have….. But if Brendan fancies him why not

What was the difference between Eoghan O’Connell’s penalty and James Forrest’s penalty? Watch them closely.
BTW if the keeper had saved Eoghan’s would he also be a coward, a wannabe, a waster, Satan incarnate?

Your constant negative comments about James Forrest are becoming tiresome. Letting him go on a free? Thank God you have no position of responsibility at Celtic,
Just in case you have forgotten, the last time we actually reached the CL group stages guess who it was who scored the brilliant goal that took us there?

Honestly some horrendous comments about James Forrest. Even the great players have missed penalties. Messi included.
Chicken hearted? Coward? Really?
Was Paul McStay chicken hearted and a coward when he missed a penalty against Raith Rovers in a meaningful game?
We could still sell him before the end of August or offer him an improved contract if he does the business for us. It makes no sense to get rid of him on a free just now. If he leaves on a free in January then it’s out with our control. He had a great game against the Imps on Wednesday and is one of our most experienced players in Europe.
BR: “He looks after himself, a wonderful professional. He has big experience, and he can really help the young players in the squad.”

Delaneys Dunky.
You are correct about James Forrest having a God given talent with his feet.
James should have been the next big thing but he for one reason or another he just hasn’t progressed the way he should have. I don’t know him, but as his managers appear to want to keep him, I don’t think it’s application, my guess is lack of confidence, that is so crucial to any player.
When my boy played with Gretna, they were in SPL. Gretna u17s played Celtic 1.1 draw, in the second game James Forrest played, he had been away in international duty. 7.0 Celtic. James was the difference he was unplayable, different class to anyone on the field. I genuinely thought I was watching the next Celtic superstar. Sadly it hasn’t quite worked out that way. James has made a good living from football and has lived the dream, but somehow you are left with the feeling it could have been so much more.

Paterson would be a great acquisition. He’s huge and aggressive and a definite goal threat at set pieces.
We are not really a cohesive outfit yet but there are some encouraging signs.
Will take time but as season unfolds i expect we will batter teams.
