  1. Congratulations to the Scottish players and management team on a terrific win at Twickenham. I will now cup my ear and await wee Nippy and that bumptious wee twat, Blackford, claiming the credit.

  2. Celtic excellent for 70 mins.. Chaotic for 20…….. Goalies really are a huge problem….. I think barkas is better than Bain…. I think I’m better than Bain……. We didn’t tire… Its bullshit…. We lack confidence…. Its fear…. Its also a very inexperienced back line… 23..22..20…and Taylor/laxalt… All contributed to panic especially with that keeper……. When you’re scared everything becomes difficult and the body doesn’t function…. It seizes…… That’s what happens……. I would have kept brown playing with soro…. I think it would work in those situations

  3. Wonder if Dominic McKay knows Christie is looking for a new challenge? He would have nailed those missed penalties.

P.S -and in all seriousness, I would love to see him bring a couple of their fitness coaches over to help with pre-season :) 💪💪💪

I have no problem with ‘take the knee’ but I do think it should have a lifespan and that it should be nearing the end of that lifespan .

At the risk of appearing simple (once more)

Rugby subs sit on spin bikes and cycle away. Soccer subs wave to fans and act as well paid ball boys.

Could we see spin bikes at Celtic Park next season?

    Can I just say…

That bloody Cole kung fu kick was absolutely shocking…..

    Yellow my arse !!

    HH

    now that is a truth.;-)

    straight red on ooft.

  7. We played well for a lot of that game. Welsh done well, just needs to make sure when he gets close to his man he does now allow him to turn, more games will help.

Moans about Celtic not preparing for next season seems misplaced. We are clearly preparing for next season now, no perm signing in january and letting players leave is a clear sign of that. We all already know the players that will move on at the end of the season. The manager will know what he has and will be abe to add what he wants.

    Remaining players:

    Barkas gk

    Bain gk

    Doolan, gk

    O’connor, rb

    Taylor lb

    Jullian, cb

    Welsh, cb

    Hjitin, cb

    Bitton, mc/ cb

    Soro, cm

    McGregor, cm

    Turnbull, cm/ acm

    Robertson, cm

    Connoll, cm

    Forrest, re

    Johnson, lw

    Ajeti, cf

    Griff, cf

    Klimala, cf

If it does indeed fall like that then we will Likely need around 6 players.

1 x cb left sided (first team)

    1 x rb/wb (first team)

    1x lb/wb (first team)

    1 x lw (first team)

    1 x rw (developing player)

1 x cf, target man/ link/ hold ball up (first team)

A big job replacing some big players, but not beyond us so long as the work is going on in the background

  8. UNCLE JIMMY – Good point. Like you, I am maybe naive but I think most of our players would benefit from an extra 3-4 kilos of muscle gained in the gym.

We have had umpteen boys that are talented ball players who fail to fulfill their potential because they never fill out.

Bet even wee Frimpong will pack on the muscle now he is in Germany.

  9. DENIABHOY on 6TH FEBRUARY 2021 8:31 PM

They’re international players, their fitness would be down to their clubs

Positive signs though, Scotland’s success, like nine leagues in a row and 4 domestic trebles doesn’t happen by accident. It suggests our new CEO knows a bit about strategic planning

  10. STEPHBHOY67

What makes you think all the players you state will remain, will not want out .

We are in a bad situation, the longer we leave the decision to name who will be in place as our management team next season the itchier their feet might become .

  11. Denia

I was around rugby when it was an amateur sport. Now? It out professionalisses soccer.

Inverted snobbery will talk about private schools and jobs in financial services.

Alas, most of the faults are on the soccer side

    Much to learn

  12. lets all do the huddle on

I think we have a nucleus of team fof the next coach.

Posters saying no STwill be bought..?

    Lets wait & see.

    Not convinced.

    HH

    STs will be bought

but im not sure 53000 will be

    and yes

we do have the nucleus of a team

unfortunately its a deuterium nucleus consisting only of soro and turnbull

    and not much else

  13. SFTB

I was involved in the financial aspects of rugby around the early 90s.

Not much time around the sidelines / dressing rooms obviously

Many players then were injecting into their thighs. I have no idea what they were injecting.

I was in the insurance game for 30 + years. My time around Scottish rugby was not hugely memorable. I remember place names – Kelso, jesburgh, st boswells

  14. prestonpans bhoys on

Can we put the international goalkeeper in place with a proper defence in front of him for the rest of the season👏👏👏👏

  15. SFTB – You have a point, but I am talking about gains of 3-4 kilos of muscle on players like Taylor, MJ, Griff, ajer, Barkas, Dembele etc. , not 10-15 kilos to turn them into man mountains.

That level of gain is perfectly achievable in the gym. Would also go someway to helping the lightweights survive heavy challenges without needing a month to recover 😄

  16. Philbhoy

    No. 2 reasons

    What were they injecting?

Was that illegal within the parameters of their amateur sport at the time?

  17. Conversely

Before Ancelotti turned up at Everton, Richarlson was their cumbersome, lumbersome traditional non scoring type centre forward. Roll on 1 year and, on tv right now, Richarlson, now 3-4kgs lighter, is their lean, mean, flying wizard left winger machine.

  18. lets all do the huddle on

bain made a save in the 2nd half that would have went right past barkas into the net

wasnt anything special but barkas doesnt save anything either side of him

we just dont have great keepers at the moment

dino zoff is a free agent just now

    go get him

  19. Philbhoy

    You are probably correct.

However, I had no case back then

Far more are turning an eye these days. And I often think back to my crimpolene shirt days.

  20. blantyretim is praying for the Knox family on

    Think he slipped Gene

Was same today re Well goal , mates slated keeper and I asked if they hadn’t seen the big deflection

  21. UNCLE JIMMY

You’ve just reminded me of my bri-nylon bright orange shirt. Wardrobe also had bri-nylon blue, green and yellow shirts hanging in a row
