  1. Back to Basics – Glass Half Full on 23rd April 2023 9:10 pm

Coneybhoy – good shout re O’Gilins bar in Lisbon.

Caught second half of yesterday’s game there before a quick meal and dash to the airport.

Would have seen more of the game had I not spent an age at the Estadio Nacional.

A pilgrimage I’ve waited a long time to fulfil.

    An absolutely sensational experience.

    >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

We were there on Thursday morning. Very emotional experience. Did the wee security guy give you a tour? We sat in the changing rooms, went up the tunnel, sat in the dugout (opposite side to where it would have been), and walked up to where King Billy held the Cup aloft. Absolutely brilliant experience.

  2. *SENTINEL CELTS PLAYER OF THE YEAR 2022-23*

*RESULTS FROM GAME #46 – CELTIC 1 MOTHERWELL 1 (McGREGOR)

    Good evening, friends.

We left the ground yesterday a little disappointed that we were only 13 points clear at the top. 24 hours later and we were still 13 points clear with only 5 to go. Funny old game’s right enough.

Not wanting to reignite a song debate but with 15 minutes to go I’m in the standing section desperate for a ‘Hail Hail…’ or similar. Grace and The Fields are beautiful ballads but not what was required when struggling a bit at 1-1! I blame the guy down the front with the megaphone!

As for the voting, our back 5 amassed 65, midfield got 97 and front got 11. Hmmmmm…

Anyway, domestically this season we have now played 40, winning 38, drawing 1 and losing 1, scoring 128 and conceding 28.

As ever, can I say a huge thank you to the 59 who emailed me with their 3 nominations. The total votes cast for each player are as follows, with my own nominations asterisked.

  3. Back to Basics - Glass Half Full on

    Scullybhoy – cheers.

    Yes, security guard was brilliant.

    Even took photos.

Walking up the tunnel – singing the Celtic Song- and up the stairs into the sunlight and onto the pitch was just awesome.

(went back and did it again 😉).

Reenactment of goals and King Billy lifting trophy followed.

    Schoolboy stuff but unashamedly so.

    Brian

12th May looks good. Gives plenty of notice for the Penrith legend (Ron Bacardi), the Bo’ness bampot (Phil) and the Silvery Tay Snakehips (Friesdorfer) to get here. Also Tom McLaughlin, Tony Rome, Art of War, Carpe Diem and Prestonpans. An absolute shower.

The inflatable European Cup was a bit well…., but I had a little cry when I got back home on Friday and watched the moment when King Billy lifted the Cup. Still have a warm glow inside when I think about emerging from the tunnel into the bright light and the heat of Lisbon. Wonderful experience and would recommend it big time.

Good evening all from the hotel bar. Place is full of huns and mini huns. Apart from 2 elderly Tims who are ripping them a new one. Hilarious 😂

  7. I think the cops would want us to win it at home, rather than pubs in city centres mobbed ,my prediction is, after the split, 1st game a home, 3 away, last game at home for the trophy

  8. Bada

Hibs at Celtic park in a fortnight …

Even the Huns will be organising street parties for Ange’s 2@row :-)

  9. How many times do we need to win the league at Swinecastle ?…let’s rub it into the minis even more ..,sign Shankland before the forces of darkness do …the boy is a natural goal scorer

  10. Melbourne Mick on

Hello again all you young rebels.

From a beautiful sunny Autumnal Melbourne peninsula.

Feeling quite chuffed this morning, I predicted that the

point won against the Mothers would be priceless as

the hun would struggle in their game, and so it proved

    to be.

A treble now in sight, and as someone quite famous on

this dear green place once ( twice ..thrice ) said “ We

live in exiting Celtic times “. 🤣 🇮🇪

    H H. Mick

  11. MM 11.38pm

Just about to hit ma kip .. we certainly reside in terrific Celtic times (there is never a bad Celtic time)

I wonder if the Scottish journos will “analyse” Bealesy boy being the first Hun manager to lose at pittodrie in 7yrs …

Am confident about the semi final (not too confident) but if we do them next week … surely

Beales Baw is Burst …. A headline the journos will never use ….

    On that note … GNGB

    20 odd degs.

Can get the old swivel hips oscillating as I push my

little paint machine round the ground.

Got to keep them well tuned, you never no if I’ll need

to show BIG JIMMY the moves, back at Ye Olde Shipbank.

  14. Barry is so down to Earth.

    Much needed.

    I’m thinking, ok Abraham a bit, but…

A Strong, any Scottish Club is good, well apart frae the Cheater Klub.

    “Ye urnae Rangers any more…..”

  15. David Murray ” For every Fiver Celtic spend we will spend a Tenner”

  17. Good morning all all from a happy clappy Garngad.

Although I, like you all still wish we would have got 3 points on Saturday.

Still, we have a week to rest and hopefuly a near full squad to pick for semi.

Another fine day awaits table in pub booked. COYBIG
