    Yes I remember all these incidents and agree with your assessment of that talented Hibs side.

    The last minute equaliser at poundland we were making our way to the back of the terracing ready to go down the stairs when it happened…….bedlam…………..talking of which when wee buzzbomb scored the winner against Morton I actually cried when it went in……..still a wean now.

    Also in same game Joe Mason scored an absolute belter for them (well named).

  2. imo we need to add a first pick goalkeeper for next season , JH is done , also a centre forward as OH is not the answer , seen enough in his play when he comes on to make my opinion also a decent right wing ,all these fill in left side players playing on the right side dosent work , all they what do do is cut inside and not go on the outside of the fullback .

  3. Jota is fantastic on the right.

    Made up nonsense that he prefers the left side.

  4. Good afternoon, friends.

    Clearly there’s still a lot of deliberating going on out there as I only have about 30 emails so far following yesterday’s game. Admittedly some of those who voted have suggested their “3 least bad performers” which is completely logical when none of our starts really played to their very best. There’s a pretty clear man of the match emerging with all but 3 folk including him in their nominations.

    Polls don’t close till 10pm tonight so I’d encourage you, as always, to vote if you can. And first time voters are always welcome!

    agree, but imo better on the left side , only plays on right side due to Maeda is Ange’s first pick on left wing, again IMO we have 4 left side wingers Jota, Haka , Maeda and Bernabei and 1 right side Abada.

    *fully concur about joe mason he was a really good Morton player and had been instrumental in their 3-3 tie with the huns on the Wednesday night that put us in the driver’s seat, that was the same night we beat Clyde 8-0 in the Glasgow Cup Final, the same tournament the huns refused tae play us in giving us a bye tae the final as they had a fixture congestion, they didnae qualify fae the LC groupings, lost tae Leeds in the Inter cities Fairs Cup and in the SC tae the Calvinists earlier on so there was no congestion to quote Calmac they were scheitd bags, that afternoon as we were still playing on hearing we had drawn 1-1 they were jubilant as they left kilmasonic after winning 2-1.

    As for joe aptly named mason he eventually joined them at the tender age of 32 as a player before joining the coaching staff.

    Thanks for the reply.

    I see what you mean now. I interpreted your original post as meaning if we don`t beat the Huns, it will have been a poor season. I now realise you meant

    League + League Cup = Good season;

    Treble = Very good season.

    I`d go along with that.

  8. In the Hayshed the day we beat Morton, I was standing beside my Dad. Unusual, because by that time I attended games with my pals. I really annoyed him at one point, because with the game nearly over and poised at 1-1, I praised something Morton did (I forget now what). He, like just about every Celtic supporter at that point, was stressed because we were on the point of losing the league to the deid team. It was all forgotten when Bobby Lennox stuck the ball in the net with the last kick of the game. Sheer unmitigated Jubiliation. (For the younger readers of this site: we were not accustomed to winning anything back then.)

  9. Why wasn’t the tug on hacksaw, in the murderwell box, sent to VAR yesterday – undoubtedly a foul.

    * we also had the unusual site of the Big Mhan hirpling down the running track tae join in with the celebrations.

    VAR did look at the Haksabanovic incident just as they look at all such penalty box incidents, but sometimes it is immediately obvious that there is nothing in it and no need to take it further.

    Having watched the incident on Sportscene, he went down too easily. Never a penalty.

  14. I think many CQNers are too keen to dismiss Sevco as a ` football team`. I have watched bits of the game v Aberdeen and can see that Sevco, going forward, are definitely a cut above the currently in-form Dons,

    They are, however, prone to making mistakes and I feel ( hope ) one will prove costly.

    I would not be at all surprised if they drop points today but I accept that that may just be wishful thinking.

    Incidentally, is the Scottish in-play commentator Andy Walker? Whoever he is, I find him easily the worst of a bad lot.

    That may well have been why Sportscene showed the incident :-))

    I was 14 when Buzzbomb netted that last minute winner v Morton to keep us on track for the league title.

    I was in the stand with my dad and as others have said, I was sick to my stomach at the thought of us throwing it away.

    Even in the stand, it was utter pandemonium as my dad lifted me high and we screamed like banshees. What a feeling it gives you and it lasts for hours.

    …………………………………………………………….

    I agree with your analysis, Celtic will have to turn up @Hampdump, I’m sure we Will.

    They have many mistakes in their defence/midfield.

    Yesterday wisnae the Mae West but I’m confident for next week – no matter Who is playing for the Hoops.
