I thought Motherwell played very well today. If it wasn’t for their time wasting cheating I would congratulate them

I think that’s probably the first time this season I feel a bit let down by this team. Remarkable when you consider the number of games they’ve played so brilliantly in. Brought a lot of joy. I fear we might be running out of gas a wee bit, but hopefully we retain enough to see off the huns in the cup.
Big transfer priority for the summer must be more legs in midfield. Very one paced today. O’Riley, Turnbull, Mooy and Iwata are all terrific players, but need a runner in beside them.
Hate to see Motherwell rewarded for their time wasting, but thought they played well today. Fair play to them.

At least it wasn’t a must win game and happy we didn’t lose.
Can’t be too disappointed after the run we’ve had.
Bring on the Rangers.

Agree 100%. That performance today will ensure a higher degree of focus this week. We’ve had our warning. Should the huns win well tomorrow then it’s a double kick up the back side for us. Not necessarily a bad thing.
*oh they will win the morra I have no doubt there now, but lets NOT dwell on the day still unbeaten since var was introduced.

How can some on here blame Beaton ,what I witnessed was a team that couldn’t breakdown Motherwell’s defence ,sure we missed chances ,but that is not the refs fault, and how easy was Motherwells equaliser ,

As if by magic “rumours” Ange is now on the shortlist for the Chelsea job have appeared.
Is there a big game coming up?
Saint Stivs on
Ange calls it right – we had chanced to go on and win it and lacked composure in the box.
16 shots only 5 on target, the 4 0r 5 chances last 15 minutes those misses were really poor.

Probably only 2 home games left and I guess everyone feels a bit disappointed.
Ange had called for a crowd pleaser and the crowd and manager will be going home slightly deflated.
Hopefully, as An Dun has said, it will focus everyone on next week’s semi final.
Huns will be pleased and it will give them some hope.
I look forward to the week of optimism followed by the dose of realism.
That time the keeper was hobbled ,he was pure cheating .
His own defender caught his knee with his own knee- but it was his right knee that was slightly hurt .When he was limping when kicking bye balls etc. he was hobbling on his left!!Watch it again it was cheating. Simples!!.

*careful oul yin they have ways of trying to interfere with our pattern and style as much as a plastic or over grown grass pitch can and I am NOT making excuses, I saw the future Lions failing tae clinch the League after twice being in the lead 4 days after winning the SC courtesy of a Wispy brace against the sheep at hunden

It was OK but Fleetwood were really poor first half. Lunch was great but my attention was more on Celtic Park. Good result for Vale, they should be safe now.

Gosh, Celtic drawing this afternoon is headline news on the Shortie website😂😂
Beaton was hopeless today. Let the Motherwell players away with murder, though no surprise there I think. Also noticed that he was often miles away from the play. Scrappy game and incredibly, we had some dicks booing at full-time.

how anyone can congratulate the opposition’s performance today for their time wasting and blatant cheating beggars belief , wanted Haka to get a start but following last weeks and todays he will never make a right winger even although he is right footed all he wants to do is go inside and fails to go by his defender on the outside and cross the ball , looks lost on right side and OH by the way, a poor mans Giomakous.

Ange will take more from the game today than anyone. There is no doubt that we don’t have a huge amount of depth. I think first and foremost we could do with a poacher. A plain and simple greedy goal scorer. I’d like to see another left back and move Bernie forward and as someone said earlier, pace in midfield. Not asking much😂
We had just qualified for the Big Cup Final the week before that Arab’s game followed up by winning the SC and 3 days later would be our penultimate game at the bigot dome, so mibbees just mibbees that Wednesday night, especially after going ahead twice, our minds were elsewhere, after all although in our minds the players were supermen they were in fact only human.

Group of huns came into the pub, the French Catholic landlord didn’t look pleased. A sorry lot, bad haircuts, tattoos, heids bolted onto their bodies missing a neck. And that was just the women. The “males” looked as if they had just crawled out of a primeval forest with flora and fauna attached to their lugs. I need another beer and a shower. Dearie me (courtesy St Stivs).

is Abada injured or is he just being left out of the side due to his rumoured wanting a transfer in the summer ,we badly need a right winger, plenty of left sided wingers ,jota, haka, maeda and Bernabei , way short of options for right winger in the squad apart from the left sided players being selected for right winger.

Bit flat.
Couple of ways of interpreting this maybe.
Season taking its toll.
Minds elsewhere and, as a result, not quite at it.
7 days of rest, training and focus.
Then a game.
Don’t expect Hatate to feature.
If Jota does I’ll feel quite good.
Good evening all from the New Road Inn. I hope you are all hale and hearty.
