    I understand your sentiment, however we would then forfeit the title and it would go to 2nd place.

     

     

    The huns and establishment would be overjoyed.

     

     

    It would be the football equivalent of the Scottish marathon runner using a car for a few pesky miles.

    Watched the Manu game – there’s a lot of hype around the Brighton player Mitoma.

     

     

    On at least 4 occasions he chose the wrong option in the last 3rd – notwithstanding that he’s a really good player.

    Did you get round to doing The Camino – am starting to look at doing it next year with my brother in law. He’s a priest so can only do a max of 7 days ending in Santiago de Compostella……

    I missed out this time because my mate had cancer but I’ve done the 100k legs twice.

     

    5 days walking should get you there.

     

    There are several routes as you know – I did the one from Ferrol and the Tui (on the Portuguese border) routes

     

    Great experience

    BBC Sportscene highlights. You’d think Liam Scales was a Aberdeen player, not a single mention from commentary or post match analysis he’s a Celtic player on loan.

    Combined Rangers are on 117 top flight Scottish and international trophies not all of which are tax paid. One title was shared with Dunbarton in the days before goal average or goal difference was introduced otherwise it would have been Dunbarton’s title.

     

     

    Celtic is on 114 with the league virtually certain to make it 115. Winning next week and going on to win the Scottish Cup would bring us with 1 of them; all tax paid.

     

     

    Just think of how meaningful next season’s League Cup would be if that happened.

     

     

    If they win the Scottish we will need another treble to catch them.

     

     

    Roll on the day when they need to get a painter to paint over that mural which, of course, does not recognise Al Ahly’s 145 trophies.

    The potential for social unrest is pretty high if we play a week on Saturday. My sense is that won’t happen.

     

     

    Even if we are away and the party is at Celtic Park / George Sq it will still be bonkers. ESP if Huns are at home.

     

     

    My bet is Sunday lunchtime v Hibs or Sf Mirren Earlier the better for me as I am flying to Naples at 6pm so want to go with a smile.

    Coneybhoy – good shout re O’Gilins bar in Lisbon.

     

     

    Caught second half of yesterday’s game there before a quick meal and dash to the airport.

     

     

    Would have seen more of the game had I not spent an age at the Estadio Nacional.

     

     

    A pilgrimage I’ve waited a long time to fulfil.

     

     

    An absolutely sensational experience.

     

     

    Only downside – put my back out reenacting Tommy Gemmell’s equaliser !
