Burghbhoy, thank you for your lovely post about my dad.
He loved the lions especially Bobby Murdoch and wee Jimmy. However, his all time favourite was our very own Gael, Malcolm Macdonald. He played in every position bar goalie.
Jimmy Delaney was another favourite of his.
He thought Bobby Evans was a good player but never trusted him as he was the only Celtic player at the time regularly picked for Scotland.
Like many others of his and future generations, he had no time for the SFA and the Scotland team due to the selection policy.

To be honest, everybody I heard at the FAC meeting were knowledgeable and committed .Although they won’t think so, another word I would use to describe them would be courageous. They are witnessing, first hand the consequences of questioning the establishment.
Hail, Hail to you.

Very sad news about Mr Foley. My heart goes out to his family at what must be a very sad and difficult time.

A lovely upbeat story about your Dad.

I think a few of us are having difficulty posting. It keeps asking me to reload.
I grew up to stories of Malcolm MacDonald from my Dad. He now seems to believe that Bobby Murdoch was the best of the best. He is certainly the best that I have seen. I grew up thinking Bobby Evans and Bertie Peacock were class. Mind you, so too were Paddy Crerand and Charlie Gallagher, imo.
We have been privileged to see some great players at Celtic Park and there seem to be some there now.

I will be at every hoot, meeting fellow Celtic fans from all walks of life, it’s an experience and a very good one at that…. Am not allowed to go to watch the Hoops until the my daughter decides, it’s October week so her and her mum are talking about coming into George Square on Wednesday for the fan zone family stuff…….. Dallas is convinced the wee blade will be at Celtic Park before the season is out, I will be delighted if he is correct, she did say today “am off school so I will be watching the whole game on Wednesday” it’s a start
(I sent her to bed at halftime in the Barca & Man City games)
To supply a place the size of the bigot dome with water, it will take more that a standard pipe, prob a two inch pipe for a place with that requirement, so for the huns to steal water, it would have to be more than a hose, so imo it’s total pish, as are most of the rumours about them going bust.
When the police get their act together and investigate them for cleaning and actually looking at where it’s coming from, they may well have a problem, till then, they will carry on regardless, albeit in a vein where they will always be also rans.

Th Celt45, I can’t take the credit for the trip.
My dad is a resident at the Erskine Home.
The wife of another resident was one of the carers yesterday.
She was telling me some of the other residents were taken to Ibrox regularly but none to Celtic Park.
She asked one of the staff at the home why there was no trips to Celtic Park. They explained no one had asked for a trip to be organised.
She knows Jack McGinn and asked if he could approach Celtic if they would supply tickets. Jack did ask and Celtic said no problem.
As a result, there have been about 5 trips to Celtic Park for residents since.
Sorry for the length of the post but to its only right credit to the lady who took the initiative and to Jack McGinn for his assistance.

Delaney’s, a good day for our families yesterday.
The onlyinor disappointing thing was not getting a photo of my dad, my son and I together outside the stadium.
My son went back up the road after the with his pals on our local Csc er than meet us after the game.
All being well, if my dad can get back to another game next year, I’ll get the photo then.
I never thought the three of us, despite not being together at the match, would ever be at a game.
Great result for the Submari tonight.
