Nothing and I mean nothing will shake your core belief. Your responses illustrate that.
We can all guess at motivations and when I present actual documentation that supports a motivation that challenges your opinion you react as you do.
Your guess that the SFA will not report honestly may or may not be right because there is a lot to hide, but I think the fair witness approach that has brought us to the point where our worst fears will be confirmed one way or another is more effective at arriving at motivations, than first deciding what they are then making the evidence fit.

AULDHEID @ 10:42 AM,
That letter from Celtic to the SFA is precise and to the point.
It tells Stewart Regan what is patently obvious, that it’s the SFA’s responsibility to investigate matters around the Rangers murky financial crisis (not the SPL although obviously they may have had some specific issues to deal with).
The timing is interesting… After Rangers went into administration we had the SFA Inquiry headed by Lord Nimmo Smith – not to be confused, as many do, with the SPL LNS Commission.
Hugh Adam maintained that Rangers wrongdoing went back to the mid-nineties and Stewart Regan promised to investigate.
“Campbell won’t play any part in any meeting, discussion or conclusion on any activities surrounding Rangers,” said Regan on Friday. “I think it’s pretty obvious that he’s heavily conflicted. We’ve been aware of the issue for a while. We’ve been aware that people have views and believe that pieces of evidence exist. What we’re trying to do at the moment is get hold of as much information as we can.
Now, you would think such a statement would make the SFA President position untenable. He should have resigned.
A wide reaching inquiry should have been commissioned or the current one (Feb/March 2012) expanded and quickly as was promised.
The findings, if there was a case to answer and we now know there was, should have been placed in front of an SFA Disciplinary Tribunal.
So far so good. Then a curious thing happens, Campbell Ogilvie does not resign, in fact he issues a statement in his defence.
He maintains there was no wrongdoing and he was backed up by a senior voice in Scottish Football at the time, who had the gravitas to allow CO to continue as President – that person – Sir David Murray.
After that what happens? The SFA does nothing, they do not investigate Hugh Adam’s claims, the do not hold an inquiry, they do a Pontius Pilate and wash their hands of it.
What changed in two weeks!? Who got to Stewart Regan and how? That’s the $64,000 question…
So as the weeks progressed, we can see that following investigations by the BBC, CH4, etc the evidence was indeed there and there was no point in the SFA stalling, why were they? It wasn’t up to the SPL to investigate and we now know that their Commision was a total whitewash. With heavily conflicted people giving evidence.
Under the circumstances Peter Lawwel’s letter to Stewart Regan on the 25-May-2012 was spot on. Urging Stewart Regan and the SFA to do their job.

That is a keeper because there is a direct link from the UEFA licence investigation into what the SFA knew before they passed the ebt side letter investigation buck to the SPL on the grounds SFA would be the court of appeal.
How to handle that fallout is possibly what is holding up the Comp Off reporting, but with Regan gone that barrier at least has gone and with it, I am led to believe, the voting balance on the SFA Board.
It is not only right that Celtic follow due process, it’s impossible under SFA regulations to do otherwise and not attract sanctions (and media attack) as a result.
Res12 guys didn’t like it but had no option but to follow that route and exercise patience (and persistence).

Really good point whichn underscores much of the “gap” between the two factions.
One group assumes the worst of Celtic while the other assumes positive intent.
In the absence of evidence to the contrary, the cock up theory is a better bet than the conspiracy theory.
There is evidence that the SFA & Rangers et al conspired & that’s why you fair witness protocol has gotten so far.
On a related issue:
Oldco died because it bought & paid players it couldn’t afford with money they didn’t have, in the hope that lottery winning Euro money would square evrything away.
Newco appear to be doing something very similar, albeit on a smaller scale dictated by their penury.
They couldn’t afford to buy Murphy but still tried it on with Brighton.
They couldn’t afford to buy Docherty, and after unsettling the player, got him for no money down & the fee paid up over 3 years.
On another blog site, there are always references to loads of unpaid creditors of the current entity, debts that are causing a nervous state amongst those drecitors.
Aren’t we still in the same situation – where some clubs work hard to stay within budget, pay their bills, honour their commitments & generally behave responsibily.
While Newco have taken on not only the supremacist & hubris mantle from Oldco, but have adopted the same approach to player recruitment.
The SFA shrugged when Oldco did this & now seem to be shrugging again as Newco do the same.
The 5Way Agreement made it clear that the SFA/SPL were invested in a phoenix club rising from the ashes of Oldco, but rising directly into the slot vacated by Oldco. Your & your colleagues efforts need to be supported by all of us so that all of these secreiesy & dark room arrangements are dragged into the light.

Yes, the SFA as “Court of Appeal” is of course misnomer, the SFA Disciplinary Tribunal (who are these poeple?) Into Rangers administration was of course appealed to the SFA Appellate Tribunal.
Any investigations into licences, EBTs, DOS etc could have followed the same route and actually as process stood, should have followed the same route.
Yet as you say, it is essential that due process takes place, now some six years down the road and with so much evidence in the public domain, we can only hope that the Compliance Officer is allowed to do his job without fear or favour. Fall out from the raging, is, as of nothing to destroying the process of imposing the rules and regulations.
I hope you right about Stewart Regan being the block and that the process can continue and the patients is rewarded for you and the rest of the Res12 bhoys.

Theoretically you would want to avoid Hearts, Aberdeen and the Huns in the next round. However playing against those teams might actually suit us better than say a Kilmarnock or Motherwell who will defend in the manner in which we struggle against. Hopefully the Huns get Aberdeen or Hearts away mind you.

I see Ian McCall missed the game. Didnae want to jinx his team.
There appears to be a permanent open season on young Kieran Tierney. Long after the ball has gone he gets hacked, barged in mid-air and head butted. Our referees, as often as not, ignore the foul play and fail to punish the offenders.
I really do fear that young Kieran’s career will suffer real damage because he plays for us in the SPL.

It was also seen that the SFA President was “heavily conflicted” in the matter of a Rangers investigation and would take no part.
