  1. Loosen up bhoys. We don’t need to score any more goals tonight, there’s no goal difference to play for. Protecting 3-0 leads is good game management.

  2. It’s not even protecting the lead, he is just giving ghuys a bit of game time.

We are very short in the Striking Department I reckon Ange is thinking why risk a Striker getting injured.

  3. We have had occasions this season when we did not have a full complement on the bench, or players who have not featured for months, or not at all. The latter two categories have been for emergencies. But having a guy on the bench who is not fit to play is just ridiculous.

A reflection of a dysfunctional Board and very poor succession strategy.

  4. Corkie…ye can take yer well thought out logical reasoning and shove it ;-))

I don’t know. We did the same with Griff last season. You have to be very risk averse, or the striker really is unfit, if you can’t give a guy a few minutes against a 10 man Championship team while 3-0 up. No?

  6. good game and man management from Ange tonight – minutes in legs for defenders and midfielders!

Not need to risk new striker if he’s not ready – esp against tired defenders with lazy tackles and possibly frustration.

Ange has a habit of putting unfit players on the bench and not playing them.

I don’t understand it, even if it is the League Cup and nobody died.

    As predicted!

    Solid performance, not tested.

    Scales looks decent. Ajeti? nope……..

Just wondering, do the Green brigade know any Celtic songs?

  9. Ten man Raith, 3-0 up at Celtic Park. Not giving Georgios a run out seems strange to me. Anyway, bring on the huns.

  10. FT…well done bhoys, well done Ange. Through to the cup semi…3 for, zero against, no injuries…not spectacular but job done

    H.H.

  11. Thought Scales did very well.

I know, he wasn’t under any pressure & there will be a lot tougher tests ahead but thought he fitted in well.

Agree re. Scales. I know it was agin 10 men (tiring), but what I liked about him was he was VERY direct, not just in his running but in his passing. Quite often he missed a man out to get the ball forward quicker.

Don’t suppose it will catch on, eh?

  13. Glad to see Jota got MOM.

McCarthy looking the part and Scales played as if he was a first team regular.

He looks assured, unphased and intelligent.

Bigger tests to come but think he’s a player.
