  3. Thank you VP,

I had a more detailed extrapolation of facts typed but fell foul to the CQN reloading/advertising curse.

    Post Moët comment not recommended.

So I shall desist from further comment until ensconced in my belated holiday location.

  8. First time I`ve read this, from The Guardian.

The France Under-21 striker had thrown his toys from the pram in desperation for that move, with reports in France claiming Celtic had broken an earlier promise to sell the player.

“The whole episode really was disappointing,” Rodgers said. “We wanted to try and keep him because we didn’t have another option. But then there was a line that overstepped from a behaviour perspective. I have been in this situation enough times to know whether you can pull it back or not.

“I needed to speak to Moussa and I had a few other senior members of staff with me. I just asked him: ‘Can you tell me and the guys in the room here if you received promises from me or any member of Celtic staff?’

“It was very clear and categoric that he said ‘no’. So once he said that, that was fine. I said: ‘You can now go if you can get the move’. There is a lot of integrity here within our staff and with our team in how we work.”

  9. Corky…calm.my friend…looks like yer looking for an argument about a guy u clearly disregard

Drank in the wee boozer at the top of the street, good wee tim shop, as for the europa league I don’t like Celtic not being at the top table but I think our europa group is far more interesting than the usual CL guff

  12. Strange experience for me today having to watch the game at home but it was thoroughly enjoyable all the same. Stevie G I would say has them better organised but they do not have the quality. Something he and I agree on, he said as much in his interview…we had a couple ofe decent chances, had we had better quality we would have scored.

I highlight this as in my opinion if it comes down to footballing ability, tactics and few injuries to our key players we have nothing to fear. We won’t win the league by a canter but win it we will in my opinion. The other Clubs do not have strong enough or big enough squads to compete with us.

All round today we were great, Ollie, Boyata the pick for me. Absolutely chuffed for the Players and Brendan, especially after the Moussa debacle, the MSM portraying them as the team and the panty wetters who were painting doom and gloom and predicting Brendan will be off.

We are doing just okay. I know I keep saying to myself, they’ll learn from bad dealings during windows. I hope and pray this will finally be addressed in January.

Sevco are back in their box thanks to Brendan and the Bhoys today, let us continue to support them by going along to Celtic Park if you can, that’s what a Celtic Supporter does. Yes the Board need to grow a set, let’s fight that fight but not by emptying seats, only the Manager and the Team suffer.

A lot is made by Kev of £49; I don’t pay that, I pay circa £31for 21 games; this is to watch my team for a season and so happens to include Sevco games. I have not and will not give 1p never mind £49 to Sevco since 2012, I do not recognise them as being a legitimate club. I do not harbor any bad feeling to those that choose to.

I say to all panty wetters, think of what we have achieved under Brendan and where we are compared to Sevco and the other clubs. I know who I would rather follow.

Here we go to a trebl treble and 8 in a row.

    Keep the Faith!

    Hail Hail!

  13. glendalystonsils on

Gerrard’s after-match pish doesn’t surprise me in the least. He shows no grace or dignity just as he did after their very first game v Aberdeen. I have never heard another manager quite so deluded or dismissive of his opponents. Gerrard and Sevco deserve every bit of the misery coming their way.

  14. mullet and co 2 on

It was a foul at our goal but then we could have had a penalty and a red on their best player. Also numerous of ck outs kicks and nips at our players went unpunished.

Today just underlined the safe feeling I have that the squad is good, has a core of great homegrown talent and there are a fee of them.

For that reason, I feel that the loss of Dembele can be subsumed and that future loses of Ntcham and Edouard can be managed.

Effectively, Ntcham becomes insurance against missing next years Champions League and we hang on to the core of Scottish talent. However, that core needs reinforced. Young Christie may make it as a false 9 or at least a player who could hold it for us. His movement in the short time he was in today looked good. Certainly it is more likely that a core of local guys will be more loyal and you build a team around them and supplement with others.

Ntcham man of the match but you have to admire the performance of Brown , Tierney, McGregor and Forrrest. Griffiths did ok when he came in but he looks out of shape. ( I think his condition is the main reason he doesn’t start)

Our scouting NEEDs to be focussed on helping these guys – young Brophy looks a prospect btw.

We will probably get into a few games of wondering and debating who would replace guys that perform well in these games but the team has to be managed around the players we are most likely to sell AND the positions that require the most improvement.

  15. Hun team is heading for mid table mediocrity going by results so far. But will be seen by Scoddish media as improvement and work in progress until next season when Stevie G might have got his coaching licence and still be there.

  16. Lennybhoy…from the heart as always ? my thoughts on the board are mine own…expressing them on a blog would be an act of futility

October and November will present some very diificult ties for Rangers.

They play Hearts and Hibs in October as well as Killi and are away to Hamilton. Not to mention Spartak Moscow and Rapid Vienna.

I disagree. They don’t look any better to me. Tried to be physical up front and got outmuscled. Hopeless in the middle – the game passed Arfield and Jack by. The 2 Liverpool lads were totally ineffective and their defence was shambolic. The woodwork and McGregor kept the score under 5 or 6. That was a top notch performance from us. 1-0 going on 5 or 6. The gap hasn’t closed.

He’s talking rubbish; I left CQN corner with POG at 11:30 and hit a queue at Janefield St before 11:40. It took me 15 minutes to get through. I am a veteran of the vast European crowds of the ’60s and ’70s and that scared the shite out of me today!

Very strange how this could occur for the first time since 1994.,

Maybe some new method of Policing?

  27. BSR…Your usual piercing self ?…but ffs….crowd congestion, to the risk of people’s lives, is fu”king not on….there needs to b a high level policing enquiry…wont b holding my breath tho

  28. Police Scotland should have focused on executing a few apprehension warrants in the Sevco end rather than putting Celtic fans lives at risk on Janefield Street.

Our club really need to be strong here; this organisations treatment of our fans is at best reckless and in my opinion malevolent.
