Make no mistake, today’s result is devastating one for the Gerrardiola revolution.
Beating by a Celtic team not out of second gear and far from full strength/fitness whilst losing discipline throughout the team , there are no positives for the ugly mob.
Anyway quick question, I’m off drink for Lent , do I get a St Patricks day pass for today? It could be an ecumenical question.

A fully fit match sharp Tom Rogic is a huge weapon for us, he wasn’t up to speed unfortunately which wasn’t surprising given his history of slow comebacks from injury.

Wowee, great win again, really put them firmly in their place did we not.
Just shows what I know about football ‘cos I was screaming at the telly telling Neil to replace JF with Olly Burke when he made the Tom Rogic change. Should have known better. For what it’s worth, I think the team thought they would easily win against ten men and were a tad complacent.
Full marks to all the team, chuffed to the knicker line..
Neil Lennon doing nothing to convince me that he is the best available man for the job.
He has a huge squad to choose from, so why not pick players who are 100% fit?
He knew that Tierney, Ntcham and Rogic weren’t ready, but went for all three regardless. Replacing one unfit player with another was a prime example of blinkered stubbornness. Hayes getting replaced by Sinclair was a waste of a switch, and this wastefulness meant that we were a sclaffed clearing tackle by Ajer away from an undeserved levelling strike by Worrall.
How must Burke & Weah feel knowing that they are lower down the gaffers pecking order than an out of form Sinclair, a 75% fit Ntcham and a 40% fit Rogic?
We have not produced a single solid 90 minute performance since Rodgers left. We will no hopefully scrap towards a possible third consecutive Treble, but we deserve better for next season.

As always in this fixture, the result is everything.
Performance is secondary, which doesn’t mean that weaknesses can’t be identified.
A major one is the poverty of our crossing, from corners, free kicks and open play.
Lustig and Tierney were particularly wasteful today.
A bit more composure and accuracy in his department could have meany an easier afternoon.
Kieran is a worry.
I don’t think he is carrying an injury- I reckon it is a career limiting condition, like the one that led to Andy Murray’s retirement.
We are badly missing the contributions from Christie.
Anyway, today is about the result.
PS.
Have they recaptured the lion that shredded Lustig’s shirt?

Very good first half should have been 3 up. Lost our way in second half when we took foot off the gas. We got what we wanted and needed. Not fair to write of lennon as next manager as he has done well since coming in and the fighting spirit was there for all to see again. Magic
Now lets wrap up the league asap and give a few players a couple of weeks off.
we need a quality rightback and centreback to start alongside KT and Ajer next season. No need for major surgery of the squad
The wee slug of Vedicchio that went in the Bolognese has led me off the path of righteousness.

Me neither, but we have regressed since NFL took over. No fault of his, but he frequently makes reference to the psychological and emotional weariness & fragility of the squad. I just think that second time around, he’s much more aware of his own limitations and doesn’t really know how to address them.
We owe him a huge debt of gratitude for stepping in to see us through to the summer, but as I’ve said on here before, we should be appointing the very best manager possible who wants the job. Lennon has shown that he’s not that man.

I haven`t read back yet so tgis might have already been said.
I am guessing the prevaling view is that we were the better side in the first half and they were in the second.
If that is the case ( ie what the general view is ) I would add that i felt, when we were the better side it is because we are; when they were the better side, it was because we were poor. Make sense?
Anyway, like everyone else ( I imagine) of a green hue, I was happy with thw trhree points but I left the ground feeling a bit flat and dissatisfied. I also felt ( and feel a wee bit bad for so feeling) that Lenny is not the Manager for us. I think we need another of the Rodgers calibre. Martinez, maybe.

Kris has got that True grit which will/has already endear him to the Celtic Support ( apart from those experts who sit behind me).Sevco brought a sub on and one of these `supporters` said. ” He is a good player, that guy.”
I pointed out that that was one more compliment than he had given to the whole Celtic team .
All this chipping away at Lenny’s Celtic team/style?…….I can tell you that today’s performance against the exact same 11 newco players from Dec 29th under our previous manager was a vast improvement in style and result.
Don’t judge Lenny against our easy wins of the past against newco.Judge him on what our previous manager did most recently.

Can always understand risking a half fit Tom Rogic as a sub.
No faulting the manager from me.
One silky pass or shot and it is all worthwhile.
Unfortunately he might need a few weeks to be back for real.
