    He was playing on the left wing not central midfield. He could have fulfilled his duties. Plenty of Celtic players have picked up first half bookings and stayed on the field.

    Its fair to say NL isn’t afraid of the big calls. I agree with you that he should have waited to see how the first half started off. Celtic were absolutely dominant in the first half so there should have been no rush to change.

     

     

    I’d reiterate though, that we had several players recovering from injuries. It shouldn’t have been too much of a surprise.

    I agree it’s unlikely the booking was the reason for the substitution or we would have seen Odsonne hooked too.

     

     

    In hindsight the fitness of KT must have been a concern for NL making the substitution even more of a puzzle.

     

     

    At the end of the day it doesn’t take away the delight of winning, but it does bring into question who our next manager should be.

     

     

    I don’t believe NL is a step forward for Celtic, but don’t have a name for who is available and would be. If the board stick with NL then he gets my full backing.

     

     

    I just hope that other options are at least considered.

    But the way Hayes plays he was much more likely to get a second yellow than Edouard. He can be very rash in the challenge and his job to stop Tavernier and Candeias on that side made the risk even higher

     

     

    Odsonne rarely makes a challenge tbh so it’s not like he was walking the same tightrope

     

     

    Correct decision taking him off imo

    I believe that Moreloes had a wee sleekit dig at Broonies ankle, BEFORE Broonie gave him a wee Tap back and then Moreloes lashed out. As per usual this Hun Thug likes to dish it out, but NEVER likes it when an opponent gives him a taste.

     

    This Thug Chump appears to think that he’s “INVISIBLE”, but then again when we have MIB’s and others like Gerrard claiming that Moreloes is only “A bit silly sometimes”, and that HE is the VICTIM…it’s little wonder that the Chump thinks he can do whatever he likes.

     

     

    I think I’ll be drinking some of My winnings Today in The Calton, and Toasting The Famous Glasgow Celtic….and noise up a few Huns in the Bar…..IF they show their faces ?

    Occasionally a poster will slaughter a player during a game then said player will pop up with the winner and we all have a laugh, usually the poster will admit to a red face or jokingly take credit. Yesterday however, we had a situation where Jamesie gets slaughtered after scoring the winner, bizarre.

     

    Now, there were many things that bugged me yesterday, especially the second half, but still too happy to discuss them.

    Not just Slitherland at it, ex-player and assistant manager John Collins, when asked by Richard Keys at half-time, “Do you condemn Brown ( for Morelos’ red)?” answers, clearly to Keys’ surprise, and his Zombie side-kick’s too, “Yes, I do”.

     

     

    Gray almost incredulous, having earlier said no team’s players could be blamed for trying to get a reaction from Morelos, given his track record.

     

     

    Incredulity increases when Collins says “It’s got no place in the game”, as if Broony’s the first to ever try to wind-up an opposing player, never mind one that’s a powder(!) keg.

    Another inconsistent decision by the referee yesterday which I have not seen mentioned was Eddies booking vs Kent non booking for identical celebrations after scoring.

     

     

    I accept the morons who jumped onto the trackside to celebrate did not help but similar actions by the players resulting in different outcomes.

    The names in the betting: Roberto Martinez, Rafa Benitez & Marco Rose seem unlikely.

     

     

    Steve Clarke seems to have ruled himself out. He’s already been on the receiving end of Zombie abuse. Maybe he doesn’t think the job is worth it.

     

     

    If it’s NL I’ll be happy to back him. But PL needs to be out there earning that paycheck! Send feelers out to even the unlikely prospects.
