  1. A team with bernabei, Johnston and Turnbull. Hope all you apologists enjoyed that, I didn’t.

  2. How many times did mcgregor run in front of his own midfielders when they were trying to pass the ball. He needs to stop with the pointing and start driving at teams. In this system Kyogo is simply not good enough. He can’t hold the ball up and is easily brushed away. We need a target man ASAP. I thought our LB did ok going forward , he has pace and desire but his passing was poor – maybe come with games but again too wee. We are too wee as a team in general. I’m ok with the system but the board needs to back Rodgers and invest in quality. Do it not and we will lost this league. Well played county, I thought they looked organised and played nice footy. We got away with one today!!

  3. Hard watch to me 90% brought on by the penalty misses …go 2 up on 28 mins and its 5 or 6..

    31003,

Knew you would be on with your usual guff.Quality ????,just how much more quality do we need to outplay County, than we had on the park today?

Knew you’d be on with your usual clap trap

On todays showing, in about 6 or 7 positions

  5. I missed attending today’s game due to a migraine, I took my medication , went to a darkened room and listened to Open all Mics …. Celtics performance is definitely not what the Dr. Ordered.

A few interesting stats from Radio Scotland at end of game.

Ross Co 4 players making their debut

Ross Co 2 players playing for their second time

Kyogo 2 touches in Ross Co penalty box !!

  6. That surface is stopping us play the football we want to play.Too slow, sluggish, muddy, rutted, does nothing for the way we normally play.A Tattie Field that we used to slag other teams for.

A throwback to the 70s.Shocking after 3 attempts to sort it.

  7. onenightinlisbon on

Back to square one against a really poor team. We will drop points without doubt if we continue in this way.

  8. Moon Howlers phoning Clyde , never understood it.vEnemies of the club like Keevins and Ex Rangers players lapping it up

Sevco fans loving every second of it. Plenty of avenues to vent, why you would fuel the hunfest i have no idea.

  9. the nodern day torn face celtic support gewt on my tits.

    morons on clyde,

i pay 700 a season for 35 years, and wont be back if we lose the league,

    grow up ffs.

    we won again,

not every performance is lion like,

  10. TURKEYBHOY

It was the same pitch for Ross County

Are you that thick you didn’t realise that?

Maybe…..just maybe….more quality would make a better hash of it

  11. As far as the pitch is concerned, looks like a 90’s special.

Dreadful. Think BR had it re-done on his last visit to Glasgow.

    Ha……..

    —————–

RC were also poor on that pitch.

That team/squad cost many millions more than RC.

You think if we’d spent another £10-20mill we’d be able to handle RC better?

Maybe it’s not the players, and something else?

  13. The Star Above The Crest on

If only someone had pointed out we might need some back up if Taylor was out or if Kyogo was to get injured or lose form.

If only we had some notice that we’d lose the services of a lot of our Asian players in January.

I’m not disagreeing re the pitch…..im just having a stab at that balloon Turkeyneck

About 30 posters moaning about our display, me included, but he wants to side with the clique and have a go at me…..not at the 29 others

  15. 31003,

As most on here know,I am not part of any “Clique”. Far from it.I am no Board lover also, could not give a flying F for any of them. What I write comes without any agenda. You write agenda driven shit,I will dig you up.How does it help?.My only love is Celtic, not The Board, not being an ass licker on here, not being a fekin sheep and following what others say.60 years watching Celtic, through shit and great gives me the right to know the difference.I

I don’t want to fall out with other posters, but nonsense,IMHO,I won’t let go.

  16. Possibly scoring so early meant the players sub consciously thought it would be too easy……Palma is very Haksa …Abada is very headless …..I was dreaming about Victor Wanyama and Bobo last night ..fk nose why ….BR loves power and pace …he must be having absolute nightmares …..

We were very lucky today…so were the huns …both should have dropped points……

  17. Rock Tree Bhoy on

Absolutely Dreadful, Kyogo needs a wee rest, but unfortunately we have nobody to replace him, shocking state of affairs for a team with the finances we have.

  18. We were poor today, but U don’t think lucky. RC only really had 2 chances, Celtic missed 2 pens and a few sitters. Not a great game, once again this season.

Bobo and Victor were both overrated – that should get a reaction :O)

I said it before and I’ll say it again….you’re either related to, or very friendly with at least one Celtic board member

Instead of “digging me up”, why don’t you go and dig yourself up some sort of personality.

Remember you said the other week you only come on here in a “friendly manner”

Now, that DID have me laughing (at you) for a good while

  20. Tom McLaughlin on

Worst performance today? The support. Bernabei collects the ball on the left, looks up for someone available for a pass. Support screaming at him before he has a chance to part with the ball, which he does, to a Celtic player. Happened several times.

Same with Turnbull who is brought on after 88 minutes. McGregor basses the ball too far in front of him and the support crucify Turnbull for not collecting the pass. A shower of glory hunting wimps, just like the CQN malcontents.

Yes it was a poor performance but a win’s a win and let’s be honest, it was never in doubt. County offered nothing going forward, despite the panic merchants in the stands.

A guy behind me was screaming at Rodgers for Palma’s double penalty miss. I told him Callum is the captain on the park and it’s his fault for letting him take the second kick, not the manager.

    Disgusted with the support today.

    Goodnight.

*well IMHO the former cost us in Seville and the latter couldnae wait tae get away quick enough

  22. TURKEYBHOY

NICE TO SEE YOU “digging up” the other 30 or so posters who posted much the same as me….go tell the rest of your clique you had another go

  23. I’d appreciate a proper response to this. For those who think we are doing well this season can you prime to games where we played well thi season?

    I think it’s 5 games, not a great return.

You told us all Matt would be sold this window and Lawwell would pocket the transfer fee. I challenged you and you came back with “that’s how it’s always been”.

After Brendan announced that Atletico’s bid was rejected, you were nowhere to be seen. You went into hiding, until today. Not because Celtic lost. We won. Get it round you.

  26. bournesouprecipe on

Luis Palma stopped the Celtic momentum in it’s tracks.

Have previously missed a crucial penalty the Portuguese’s third miss was surely his last, three times in the same corner low to the keeper’s right is unforgivable. in football terms. Ross County took their booster, and dug in for a long nineties Bernardo stabbed at an empty net when Celtic would have cruised, had he got it under the bar.

Then we did the home game huff and puff, with nothing much in midfield and certainly no trace of a £20M midfielder this afternoon, both wide players offered little, not once a telling cross or penetrating run. The inevitable where’s Kyogo? started with the striker not apparent in the distribution chain, by half time.

A seen before second half, saw Alex Bernabei’s fair old impersonation of Greg Taylor ( God loves a trier ) but that final ball could have been the Barras or Buenos Aires for all the difference it made. Frantic finales are all too familiar in Parkhead this season, we’re more a threat away from home for sure, and like Sevco if County had a finish , we’d be a Europa shoe in by now.

Maybe the board are away ahead of us? and the ‘buffer’ will be paraded as justified. Some question if Mikey Johnson is our answer from February the 1st hope Brendan has a rabbit and a hat, we deserve a run for our supporter built wealth.

    ——————-

I don’t think many of us have said we’ve played well this season.

The football has been poor since BR came back, but there’s been a lot of injuries, international breaks and now a winter break.

The hope is that eventually BR gets it sorted and we start playing to our potential.

We are top of the league, and have won the games that have mattered in the league (so far).

  28. Tom Mcl,

Did you actually watch that performance today? The support are the problem? Total guff.

  29. bigrailroadblues on

    Tam McLaughlin

Aye. A bunch of eejits who call themselves Celtic supporters. An absolute disgrace to Glasgow Celtic the lot of them. Away and “support” another team.

  30. It was a day for putting a marker down for the reminder of the season against a very poor side. Except today showed us the dangers we seem intent on ignoring as we gamble with a very important league title.

We would have won much more comfortably but for Palma’s mental breakdown over the pens – just so very poor. And he’s one of the better players we signed last summer !

If we fail to sign a left back in the days ahead then wheats need to roll – we simply can’t go to Pittodrie and Easter Road with Bernabie at left back. My God who scouted that lad ?! Please God whoever recommended him is no longer employed by us.

I have to mention Turnbull, that was as bad as I’ve ever seen. Get this lad paid up and on his way – he has no business putting on a hooped shirt. Disgracefully bad for the few minutes he was in the pitch.

Plenty of work to do and plenty for BR to improve on because that today will be nowhere near good enough to take 6 points in our newt two games. It was so bad that I’d honestly postpone the Pittodrie and Easter Road games till our the players are back and available.

  31. bigrailroadblues on

And I was there eventually. And shouted support and encouragement for my team. The magnificent Glasgow Celtic.
